Abstract

This analysis aim to obtain variation of bearing capacity of soil foundation for the same case based on methods is Terzaghi, Meyerhof, Vesic, Hansen and Ohsaki. And gets comparison of bearing capacity value from some the methods.Method Terzaghi and Ohsaki to have bearing capacity value of soil foundation which approximately equal. Method Hansen and Vesic also has value tending to same, only Meyerhof having different value x'self. For incline load, method Hansen, Vesic is tnding to same and just Meyerhof tending to value differs in. But method Hansen and Vesic at various foundation breadth ( B) at foundation square and circular that is B > 0,5 m happened decrease of bearing capacity of soil foundation and at B ≥ 1,5 m increases returns to its the value.

Abstract

The development of industrial world needs an instrumentation automation that to support production process. For a true intelligent and flexible automated manufacturing system, the system should be able to respond to changing conditions by changing the manufacturing process all by itself. Computers can be programmed to "read" external conditions and to execute different parts of their programs depending on the sensed conditions. Computers will require additional interface cards like PPI 8255 and programming like Delphi. Various excess and amenity high level programming language base on GUI (Graphical User Interface) and running at Windows Operating System like Delphi make a produce application more quicker and efficient. Abstract

Growth and improvement of airline service from year to year progressively becomes the society’s attention. These things, can be seen from tightening of emulation of service quality, price, promotion among so much airline him. The plane role as transportation medium become progressively the necessary for world, what directly support international business and tourism. In a condition tight emulation, especial matter which must be given high priority by airline is customer satisfaction/ passenger can stay, vieing with to master market compartment. Airline have to know things any kind of lionized by all airline and passenger yield performance as good possible so that can customer gratify. On that account require to be importance and performance analysis.In this research data analyze used by method of discriptive qualitative quantitative. Abstract

The penatration resistance using DCPT on a type of soil are influenced by density and moisture content. The aim of this research is to experimentally study of cone penetration resistance (qc) friction ratio Rf ), dry density (γd) and water content (w) relationship on silt. The silt sample taken from Tondo, Eastward of SMUN 5 Palu. The penetration test are worked on several γd and w variation. Test result showed that the higher the water content, the higher the friction ratio Rf but the lower the qc. At low w, the higher the γd the higher the gradient qc/w. At hight water content, rising up the γd have no significant influence to the gradient qc/w

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know characteristic of Marshall Stability and Marshall Immersion value of the old asphalt mixing that recycling by rejuvenating diesel oil. The old Asphalt mix from asphalt pavement deteroration on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Palu Central Sulawesi.Result of extraction test of old asphalt mix was to found the asphalt content 4,6%. This scenarios of recycling asphalt in this research were five varieties of asphalt content and five varieties of rejuvenating agent. Varieties of asphalt content are 4,6% (without added of new asphalt), 5,1%, 5,6%, 6,1% and 6,6%. Varieties of rejuvenating agent are 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. Specimen of asphalt pavement recycled testing by Marshall stability testing machine and volumetric analysis.The result of Marshall testing on Optimum Bitumen Content was found that increasing of rejuvenating agent content in asphalt recycling mix caused Marshall stability ,Marshall Immersion and Density Values were decrease. From Marshall stability value, maximum content of rejuvenating agent still required specification is 35,29% and from Marshall immersion value, maximum content of rejuvenating agent is 46,18%

Abstract

Nowadays, concrete construction even it small, medium and large scale; normally use natural sand (sand river) as fine aggregate and artificial aggregate from crushed stone as coarse aggregate; and it is rarely found concrete mix which consist of both natural fine and coarse aggregates because bond capacity between natural coarse aggregate and cement paste lower than between artificial coarse aggregate and cement paste.This research aims to know the performance of natural coarse aggregate, which was used for high performance concrete (HPC) with use admixture. Tests were carried out by using specimens of concrete cube with size of 15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm and vary of water cement ratio and percentage of admixture CONPLAST SP – 420 using both natural and artificial coarse aggregate.The results of this research show that although natural coarse aggregate replaced by 50 % with artificial coarse aggregate; the resulted concrete compression strength not too significant compare to concrete mix use natural coarse aggregate; furthermore, replace 50 % artificial coarse aggregate with natural aggregate can reduce the cost of concrete production

Abstract

The growth fisherman settlement is a natural event and this phenomenon is also happened at Kampung Lere so that it taudification as well as inconvenient arrangement. This will potentially decrease environmental quality. The purpose of this research is to assess the possibility of developing a fisherman settlement in kampong Lere without ignoring the environment quality by settlement environmental planning. The research is conducted on August 2002 by survey. The acquired data were then compiled and analyzed by qualitative analysis. The sample included all houses and building in the area. The study area is 31,64 Ha. The result shows that the residence fisherman at Kampong Lere, is to be kept. Settlement environmental planning concept; (1) the sustainability of fresh water, (2) Managing well drainage system, (3) the availability of waste management systems, (4) Conducting Road and pedestrian access system (6) Protection from abrasion by building dam and green program, (7) Proportionally managing border of river and beach, i.e. 30 - 100 m of apex tide sea-water counted from river, and k, and (8 ) Improving physical quality

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know characteristics of bitumen binder mixtures plastic of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) powder. This research was done in Highway and transportation laboratory of Civil Department, Tadulako University. Percentage of Polyvinyl Chloride powder content based on weight of bitumen. The percentage of PVC powder in bitumen are 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% respectively and comparison with properties of bitumen without additive material. The properties of bitumen include the following: the penetration value of bitumen, the Ductility value, the softening point value, density of bitumen value, loss on heating of bitumen, flash and fire point of bitumen values.The result of this research indicates that the Polyvinyl Choloride powder in bitumen between 2% to 8% still enough for spesification except on ductility properties of bitumen values. This implies that, increment the Polyvinyl Chloride in bitumen potential influence on asphalt pavement include stiffness and brittle of mixtures
