Abstract

ABSTRACT Tirta Mumbul Jaya Abadi is a company of mineral water (AMDK). This company is a branch of Water Supply Local Company in Buleleng regency(PDAM) which is part of the Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD). It cooperates with private company, Mara Jaya Dewi Sakti that has been establish in organizational way since 2004.  This water company is quite new in its operation but it has succeded to become the market leader of mineral water in Buleleng regency. It is due to the effort of whole staffs of Tirta Mumbul Jaya Abadi Company especially its public relation. This research applied Image Building and Two Way Symmetrical Model analysing the strategy used by public relation of Tirta Mumbul Jaya Abadi company. It is a descriptive qualitative research that applied triangulation technic in collecting data. This research took place in Singaraja city. The result showed that strategy which was quite effective to be used were publication and public relationship. Public relation of Tirta Mumbul Jaya Abadi Company is active in using electronic and outdoor media as well as maintaing good relationship with their external public through sponsorship effort in both product or financial to build the image of company. Abstract

ABSTRAK   Pro 2 RRI Denpasar adalah salah satu Programa (stasiun radio) milik Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) yang awalnya bernama Pro 2 Paradise FM. Perubahan format programa mengharuskan Pro 2 RRI Denpasar menyusun strategi komunikasi yang lebih kompetitif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi Pro 2 RRI Denpasar dalam menghadapi perubahan format programa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa segementasi, target dan posisi dari Pro 2 RRI Denpasar sudah ditentukan oleh LPP RRI Pusat, sehingga strategi komunikasi yang pertama adalah menentukan komunikator yaitu tim kreatif yang dibantu oleh Seksi Programa 2 dan Seksi Komuikasi Publik. Pro 2 RRI Denpasar melakukan audience research untuk mengenal khalayak. Pro 2 RRI Denpasar dalam menyusun pesan menggunakan sifat pesan informatif. Pro 2 RRI Denpasar mengunakan media konvensional berupa media elektronik, media luar ruang dan media format kecil. Pro 2 RRI Denpasar melakukan evaluasi dengan cara menghitung jumlah pendengar aktif yang dihitung melalui jumlah atensi SMS, telepon dan media sosial   Kata kunci : Perubahan Format Programa, Pro 2 RRI Denpasar, Strategi Komunikasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembingkaian berita terkini Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla dalam Program Metro Hari Ini pada 100 hari kerjanya menggunakan analisis teks milik Robert Entman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Data berita Metro Hari Ini periode 13 Januari-12 Februari 2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis framing model Robert Entman yang menyatakan bahwa setiap media mengkontruksi berita harus melalui dua tahap yaitu seleksi isu dan penonjolan aspek setelah itu menganalisis berita dengan 4 tahap, (1). Definisi masalah, (2) diagnose causes, (3) make moral judgement, dan (4) menekankan penyelesaian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ada dua isu besar menjadi fokus Metro Hari Ini, yaitu berita konflik KPK-Polri dan eksekusi terpidana mati, MetroTV mendukung Budi Gunawan sebagai Kapolri, Metro Hari Ini menggambarkan bahwa adanya indikasi politik di balik penetapan Budi Gunawan sebagai tersangka oleh KPK, narkoba adalah musuh bersama, Metro Hari Ini mendukung pemerintah Jokowi-JK dalam mengeksekusi terpidana mati kasus narkoba. Abstract

ABSTRACT Communication becomes an important in building an organization or company in order to produce the positive image in the public mind. It is highly considered by the Corporate Communications Division from PT. Garuda Indonesia in maintaining image credibility that formed long ago in the community. The company that engaged in the field of aviation services has been named as the best airline in Asia by APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) for two consecutive years since 2013 and it surpass four other airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, and EVA. The purpose of this research is to find out the strategy of Corporate Communication Division of PT. Garuda Indonesia in maintaining the image as the best company in Asia among 2013-2014. This research uses the descriptive-qualitative method. The results of this research is to indicate that the strategy done by the Corporate Communications Division of PT. Garuda Indonesia is started by determining the company’s object first. Afterwards, the company empowers three big potential of resources in order to obtain the company purposes. Then, the purpose of the company is communicated to all of the public by the official site of Garuda Indonesia and holds the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity with the crew of media. The last step is to hold the “door to door” activity or the spreading of the satisfaction marking form to all prime public of Garuda Indonesia in the end of the year as the evaluation form of the Corporate Communication strategy applied during this time. Abstract

ABSTRACT     Skripsi ini berjudul “Interpretasi Nilai Dalam Serial Drama “Jodha Akbar” pada Masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu di Desa Keramas, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali.” Penelitian ini mengunakan metode deskriptif-eksploratif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam, focus group discussion (FGD), dan observasi. Teknik penentuan informan dengan cara purposive sampling dan snowball. Pemahaman nilai budaya masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu di Desa Keramas pasca menonton tayangan serial drama “Jodha Akbar” sudah semakin meningkat, meskipun masih adanya batasan-batasan penerimaan nilai-nilai budaya dari masing-masing kelompok masyarakat  tersebut. Dari hasil analisa menggunakan Teori Dimensi Budaya Hofstede, masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu di Banjar Lebah memiliki dimensi nilai budaya yang serupa yakni; nilai budaya kolektivitas, maskulinitas, penghindaran ketidakpastian yang bersifat rendah dan jangka orientasi panjang. Dengan adanya faktor sosio-historis, geografis, komunikator, dan aturan adat (awig-awig) maka pemahaman antara masyarakat Muslim dan Hindu di Desa Keramas mengenai perbedaan nilai budaya semakin meningkat. Abstract

ABSTRAK   Bali merupakan pulau yang kaya akan warisan budaya dan kesenian tradisional yang beragam. Salah satunya adalah alat komunikasi tradisional yaitu kulkul. Kulkul adalah alat komunikasi bagi organisasi tradisional Bali (desa adat, banjar adat, dan subak). Desa Pakraman Sukahet dan Desa Adat Kuta menjadi fokus pengamatan dalam penelitian ini dengan mengerucut kepada masing-masing satu banjar adatnya, yaitu Banjar Sari dan Banjar Pande Mas Kuta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah ingin  mengetahui perkembangan penggunaan kulkul sebagai media komunikasi dalam desa pakraman di Bali dan ingin mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberadaan kulkul sebagai media komunikasi tradisional dalam desa pakraman di Bali. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus analisis situasional. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis interactive model, Milles dan Huberman. Hasil pembahasan dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa eksistensi kulkul di kedua desa adat tersebut masih terjaga dan masih aktif digunakan sesuai dengan fungsinya di tengah perkembangan globalisasi, khususnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Di samping pengunaan kulkul yang masih aktif, penggunaan kulkul bulus di Desa Adat Kuta sudah ditinggalkan. Penggunaan kulkul pemuda juga sudah tidak aktif lagi di Banjar Sari dan Banjar Pande Mas Kuta.   Kata kunci: Kulkul, Penggunaan kulkul, Desa pakraman, Desa adat

Abstract

ABSTRACT The group of  Plecing Crew (PLC) is one of the big groupsand it is a famous in SMAN 2 Denpasar. Though it is  a new-established group, but it has more than 1300 members ranging from the 1st batch up to now the 7th. This could be happened because most members always take part in any events conducted by the school and the group itself. The idea of creating this group is to unite all the students of the same batch to stand against the arrogance of the seniors. To analyze the factors that influence the interest of the students to join the social group of friendship, this research applies Jalaluddin Rakhmat’s concepts on interpersonal attraction factors, Irwin Altman’s and Dalmas Taylor’s theory of social penetration, and the theory of social exchange developed by two psychologist John Thibaut and Harlod Kelley (1959), and two sociologist George Homans (1974) also Lott and Lott (1974).The method of this research is qualitative-descriptive by spreading the semi-structured interview to collect the data. The finding of the research shows that the factors to influence the interest of the students to join the social group of  friendship are in accordance with the Jalaluddin Rakhmat’s concepts on interpersonal attraction, they are the similar personal characteristics, stress, social isolation, physical attraction, reward, familiarity, and closeness. Abstract

ABSTRACT Intercultural marriage is a union between two people who have differencesain nationality and culture as husband and wife, whileabuilding family ties. In mixed marriages that occur between individuals who have different cultural backgrounds, each pair has unique dynamics and challenges that they will undergo. The purpose of this study is to describe style of conflict management on intercultural couples. Conflict management is the process to get compatibility while faced the conflict. This study aims to determine the conflict management strategies carried out by married couples who undergo mixed marriages so that mixed marital couples can maintain in forming a harmonious family. This study uses a qualitative exploratory method based on a purposive technique. Data obtained through interviews and documentation The author uses Miles and Huberman'saInteractive Model data analysis techniques which go through several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, andaconclusion drawing. In short; the result of this researchais cultural influences individual's view on looking into things, one of them is conflict.The intercultural marriages are frequently encountered by problems and conflicts potential. One of the causes is the cultural background differences. Communicationacompetence between cultures—intercultural marriage couples can understand the conflict pattern based on cultural differences based on values, habits, paradigms, characters, opinions, principles, language – context differences that sometimes leads to misunderstandingsaand child issues. Managing the conflict, the five mixed marriage couples use a variety of conflict management styles including collaboration, compromise and accommodation. Abstract

Mata Sapi is a unique radio programme that become one of D’OZ Radio Bali flagship programme. The goal of this research was to find out the process of Mata Sapi announcers impression management. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained by observation, interview, and documentation study. The result of this research showed that D’OZ Radio want to build a funny, exciting, relaxing, passionate and youthful impression on Mata Sapi programme. That makes Mata Sapi announcers did impression management by using jokes and unique laughing sound. Giri and Maesya should have a positive mind set and they should always be fun, humorous and professional.They have to control their emotions so there would be no hard feeling when delivering jokes. Their jokes did not feel like it was set before the show because they did it spontaneously without negotiating their jokes beforehand. The presence of another characters such as Pak Yan and Pak Tut made the announcers had to understand every characters that they played. The self disclosure of Giri and Maesya as announcers to each other develops gradually, ranging from discussion of general topics to personal discussion. Abstract

The existence of centralization in the Indonesian television industry made the government try to make equity or decentralization to the broadcasting system by establishing policy for all broadcasting institutions in Indonesia to conduct a networking broadcasting system arranged in UU No.32 of 2002, PP No.50 of 2005, Kepmen Kominfo No. 43 of 2009, and P3SPS. The implementation of the network station system is intended to realize the decentralization and democratization of the broadcasting in Indonesia through the diversity of ownership and diversity of content. Kompas TV Dewata is one of the networked television stations that cooperate with local television stations in Bali. This research aims to determine the implementation of regulation of network station system conducted by Kompas TV Dewata in particular related to the broadcasting of local broadcast through analysis of mass media management. The results obtained are the implementation of regulation in Kompas TV Dewata very influenced by mass media management in the television station. The policy issued by Kompas TV Center as the largest shareholder impacted on the decrease in the duration as well as the quality of broadcasting of local broadcast programs. This makes the Kompas TV Dewata has not been able to implement the network station system to the maximum in accordance with the rules that apply, even the management of mass media in Kompas TV Dewata also very influenced by the policy of Kompas TV center.
