Abstract

ABSTRACT The power of the media is found on the fact that media can be the main source of ideas and opinions. This study aims to found out how Tempo.co construct the facts that received in the field to be an investigative report and published on April 4, 2016. Researchers used two theories to support the research process. Among them is the theory of Agenda setting used in assessing the processing of facts, and the next theories is Framing theory model by Robert N. Entman. The type of research used is qualitative with constructivist paradigm. The results of this study, the construction of an investigative report made by Tempo.co. It is judged from the selection of issues and assertion aspects. The issue that Tempo.co wants to highlight through this investigative report is the involvement of prominent figures from various countries in the world, the practice of tax evasion in large scale and the appear of public figures from Indonesia in the leaked Mossack Fonseca documents. The highlighted aspects are tax evasion, money laundering, major crimes, massive scams, the involvement of prominent figures, conceal facts, and improper tactics. Abstract

ABSTRACT The presence of Uber in Bali raise a controversy so that the action of rejection frequently happened such as demonstration and sweeping was done by the local transportation and conventional taxi alliance. Those action of rejection often contained a violence that cause the Uber driver feel unsafe and harmed. The Uber Bali public relation hold up the role to keep the relation with their drivers as one of the stakeholders who have an important role for the company. Therefore, the study, entitled "Peranan Humas Perusahaan Aplikasi Transportasi Online Uber Bali dalam Menjaga Hubungan dengan Driver” have a purpose to find out the role by Uber Bali public relation in order to maintain the relation with their drivers. The method applied is analysis descriptive qualitative method with qualitative research and post-positivism paradigm. The results from this research based on the role concept of public relations according to Dozier and Broom, Uber Bali’s public relation intent to hold the role as an expert presciber and communication facilitator. As an expert presciber Uber Bali try on offer to solve the problems happened whether to supervise the emergency condition from the management, stakeholders, as well as the problem appear from the area. As a communication facilitator, Uber Bali’s public relation hold a role to provide a sharing session regarding the promo or the latest regulation as well as correspondence session with the driver if theres any concern from them. Abstract

ABSTRACT Film becomes an aesthetics work of art as well as an information tool that sometimes can be a means of entertainment, tool of propaganda and even political tool. Film may create different perception according to the message in it. Corruption is one of topics which often discussed in many media, such as print media, electronic media, even film. Theeobjectiveeoffthissstudyiisstoeexplainttheemeaningoofccorruption in film entitled Negeri Tanpa Telinga. Data were collected from video, images, and dialogues in the film and were analyzed by Charles Sanders Pierce’s semiotics textual analysis. This studyyfounddthattthe characteristics of corruption inttheefilm inntheeform of bribery, embezzlement, smuggling, giving (gifts or grants), manipulation of the authority, related to occupation of someone or the profession, neatly and structured. Then, the influence and role of women becomes very important in the continuity of corruption such as reward for corrupt and become the good member on the group in preparing a strategy of corruption than men. Furthermore, this film depicted a new image about women’s role in corruption, especially in Indonesia. Abstract

ABSTRACT The issue of migrants is an annual phenomenon which has always been a topic of the news after the Eid. Migrants can be a problem for a region with a high population density such as Bali. These problems can escalate into conflict due to public opinion about migrants. As the largest print media in Bali, Bali Post has a major role in the formation of stereotypes of migrants in Bali. The purpose of this study was to determine the stereotype of migrants formed by the Bali Post. This qualitative study using the constructivist paradigm. The analysis technique used is framing analysis with Pan and Kosicki model. The results showed that the stereotypes of migrants in the Bali Post news tend to be negative, such as slum life, do not obey the administration and tend to work in informal sectors Keywords:framing analysis, Bali Post, migrants, stereotypes

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bali Food Safari (BFS) is a culinary tour in Bali which was established in November 2013 with a unique mystery culinary dinner tour concept. This research have a purpose to describe the intergrated marketing communication strategic of BFS for increasing consumer awareness based on Intergrated Marketing Communication (IMC) theory with descriptive-qualitative approach. The result of this research is showed that BFS using six channel from IMC, which is advertising, direct marketing, sales promotion, interactive marketing, personal selling, and word of mouth. And one channel that not used by Bali Food Safari yet is public relations. Bali Food Safari marketing communication activities is pointed on online media which is advertising and promotion by Facebook and Instagram. But the consistency of message delivery in channels that used is not consistent yet, this is indicated by lack of use the mystery word which is the keyword of mystery culinary dinner tour. Abstract

ABSTRACT Sexually charged information is broadcasting through various forms of communication media. This sexual content can be seen in a video clip that aired on television, CD albums and on social media Youtube. Dek Ulik and Lolak’s video entitled Dangap-Dangap has been watched until 900,000 times on Youtube. The purpose of this study was to find out the sexual content contained in the Dangap-Dangap video clip sung by Dek Ulik and Lolak. The type of research used is qualitative with constructivist pradigma. The primary data source in this study is the Dangap-Dangap video clip of Dek Ulik and Lolak uploaded on Youtube, as well as secondary data sources from literature relevant to research titles, such as books, journals, articles, online mass media, and papers. The research method used is Charles Sanders Peirce semiotic analysis method. The results of this study were the presence of mild and severe sexual behavior displayed in this Dangap-Dangap video clip. Mild sexual behavior is shown by the activities of fantasy, teasing, and hand movements represent the behavior of masturbation. Mild sexual behavior is shown by the activities of fantasy, teasing, and hand movements that refers to the behavior of masturbation and body movement that refers to sexual behavior as severe as mimic coitus. Abstract

ABSTRACT Television is familiar mediaforIndonesian people. Almost all of Indonesian people have television and tend to watch television. From the variety of content contained in television, advertising is one that is often encountered. As for most advertisers on television one of them is an online e-commerce service. Some of the active e-commerce advertising in 2016 on television is Tokopedia and Bukalapak. This research aim to measure comparison of the effectiveness of advertisements of Tokopedia and Bukalapak online shopping sites on television in Denpasar City. This research uses positivist paradigm with descriptive quantitative method. Sampling technique in this research is non-probability sampling and the method used is purposive sampling. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires. The analytical technique used in the research through several stages of analysis technique average count, and test the average difference T-Test to attract the conclusions. This research showed there is no difference in the effectiveness of television advertising online shopping sites Tokopedia and Bukalapak in Denpasar city. Abstract

ABSTRACT The characteristic of leadership intensely affecting the general welfare in that area. A representation of the nature of leadership can be seen in a painting by I Ketut Budiana displayed in the Auditorium Widya Sabha Universitas Udayana. The painting was tell stories about Journey of Prabu udayana since was born then began to reign King of Bali, until the moksa process. This study aimed to understand representation of leadership to the Prabu Udayana painting by I ketut Budiana. The research was used qualitative approach with the method of Charles sanders Pierce Semiotics analysis . A source of primary data on this research was Prabu udayana Painting by I ketut Budiana. The result of this research, eight of fourteen canvas representated characteristic of leadership with four the concept of Hindu Leadership on the majapahit era known as Catur Kotamaning Nrpati refers with four main requirement that should be owned by a leader. The four main requirements are Jñana Wisesa Suddha (a leader must have a virtuous knowledge) Kaprahitaning Praja (a leader must showed compassion to people), Kawiryan (a leader must be brave and fight for right and justice), dan Wibawa (a leader must have a power to people). Abstract

ABSTRACT In the work process of public relations, there are several stages of work management process. One of them is the evaluation stage, where in this stage public relations would evaluate the results of the work program that have been implemented. Through the special event “Coca-Cola Plant Tour “ that is conducted by public relations of PT. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia, the company expects that the purpose of the work program could be achieved well. The SWOT analysis theory is used to do the research in the work program evaluation called “Coca – cola Plant Tour”. The purpose of this study is to know the activities evaluation of Public Relations PT. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia in Denpasar Branch especially at Coca-Cola Plant Tour Bali 2016. The descriptive qualitative method is used in this study. The results of this study indicate that the role of Public Relations run by the Public Affairs and Communications Division at PT. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia in Denpasar branch is as Communication Facilitator and Communication Technician. It could be seen in doing some activities as a responsible in it and in the information management that is available at several points in Coca-Cola office, therefore, it is easy to reach by all office employees (canteen, working room and each floors). Based on SWOT analysis, researcher found some strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities for PT. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia especially at Coca-Cola Plant Tour activities. The Strength and the opportunity are the PT. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia is an international company which is spread everywhere and these activities could provide the understanding in purpose to maintain the good image of the company. The weaknesses and the threat are a bad image of carbonated drink and the existence of similar activities programs that is held by a competitor company. Abstract

ABSTRACT Some Indonesian people still consider that sexual, bisexual and other sex behaviors which are incompatible with religious and cultural norms as deviant behavior. Currently, homosexuality is still considered to be something distorted because this kind of sexual behavior can not be treated generally and not acceptable to society. This condition can make gay individuals can not open themselves freely and affect the process of gay self-disclosure in the looking for a partner. The process of gay self-disclosure in looking for a partner can also be seen from the access to media information and gay community in Indonesia. Moreover, the sophistication of the global world today, gays have the convenience to be able to download applications, and facilitate them in the process of interaction and looking for a partner, in this case the researcher focus on Tinder application. This study aims to find how the process of gays self-disclosure in looking for a partner on Tinder application. The method of this study is qualitative method and post-positivism paradigm. The results of this study is the gays are more frank in the process of self-disclosure on Tinder application with the duration of conversation is 2 days to 10 days from the results. The informers indicate that the gays prefer to open themselves further in a self-disclosure in the Personal Messenger application, such as line and whatsapp aplication, and the gays that are Tinder users have different conversational intensity at doing thier self-disclosure as a couple-seeking process and relationship development process on Tinder application. Where the difference is the way to build a comfortable atmosphere in a conversation so that the process of relationship formation goes well and expected deeper.
