The sample technique is a systematic sampling based on the order of teacher data as many as 108 respondents. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires through googleform. Data analysis was carried out with validity and reliability tests, linear regression analysis. The results of the study obtained the value of the correlation coefficient which was included in the sufficient category, and a positive value, and there was a significant influence between the target setting variables on the academic development of teacher careers. Determination of target settings in the form of increasing knowledge and skills refers to the SMART model that can be used by teachers to achieve success in career development.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of utilizing the digital game Wordwall in improving students' vocabulary at SMAN 1 Gowa, specifically in class XI MIPA 3. The research method employed a pre-experimental approach with pretest and posttest measurements. The population for this study consisted of all students at SMAN 1 Gowa, while a random sample of 35 students was selected from Class XI MIPA 3. The analysis revealed that the mean score on the pretest was recorded as 82.34, whereas it increased significantly to 98.31 on the posttest. By conducting a paired-sample t-test statistical analysis with a significance level set at α = 0.05, a significant difference between the mean scores of the pretest and posttest was found (p <0.05). This indicates that using Wordwall as a digital game effectively enhances students' vocabulary. In conclusion, this research supports the hypothesis that employing Wordwall as a digital game can improve students' vocabulary at SMAN 1 Gowa. The positive outcomes resulting from an increase in posttest scores have important implications for English teachers who may consider incorporating game-based technology like Wordwall as an engaging and interactive tool for vocabulary learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a digital module for Digital Literacy for children and young people who were KPop fans in Makassar, to prevent cyberbullying. Data showed that that K-Pop fans consisting of children and teenagers in Indonesia were one of the largest Internet users in the world. The high use of the internet was also directly proportional to the cyberbullying that occured to them, not only as victims but also as perpetrators. This was the reason, why this study was important to investigate even though many researches on digital literacy had been carried out, but not many had been found specifically targeting KPop fans, while they were active internet users. This study was development research referring to the 4-D model (Four) that proposed by S. Thiagarajan and Semmel (1974), which consisted of 4 stages of development, namely the stage of defining (Define), Design , Development (Develop), and dissemination (Disseminate), then reduced to a 3-D model which only consisted of 3 stages of development, namely the stage of defining (Define), Design, Development (Develop). The results produced a Digital Literacy Module, which emphasized content on digital skills, consisting of Devices used, Search Engines, social media applications and online conversations and shopping, all of which were adapted to the characteristics of KPop Fans.

Abstract

The aim of this needs analysis is to investigate the potential of microlearning as a learning approach to prepare high school students for the TOEFL iBT. Microlearning is an instructional method that involves brief participation in an activity that is intended to yield a specific result. While prior research has shown its benefits in encouraging independent learning, reducing mental fatigue, and preventing demotivation and cognitive impairments, most studies have focused on adult learners, with only a small fraction conducted in high school settings. In Indonesia, certificates of English aptitude tests, such as TOEFL iBT, are necessary for higher education and job applications. However, the topic and skills are rarely discussed in schools, resulting in many high school graduates being unprepared for the exam. Typically, students resort to private institutions or tutors to acquire the necessary skills, but the associated costs and time commitment can be discouraging. Therefore, it is essential to examine the perceived importance of TOEFL iBT, learning difficulties, and learning preferences. The findings will inform recommendations on integrating microlearning into the existing educational framework. Future studies should explore microlearning themes further, expand research to high school context, and explore mobile-based microlearning.
