Abstract

This study aims to identify the culture of peaceful student Yogyakarta, based on the background of gender, ethnicity and other aspects of the culture of peace. The research approach using quantitative descriptive type. The population of the research is the Yogyakarta State University student. The research sample using simple random sampling a number of 210 students. Number of samples 78 male students and 132 female students. Collecting data using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive test and chi square test different. The research result is a culture of peaceful student Yogyakarta State Universisitas including high category. Faculty and ethnic backgrounds have differences in culture of peaceful student. No gender differences in student culture of peace. Students were high in this aspect of the culture of peace is love, harmony, tolerance, compassion or pity, caring and sharing and interdepency, while the introduction of aspects of the lives of others and thank aspects including very high category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the trend of student religiosity in terms of gender and background majors. The research approach uses a quantitative approach to the type of cross-sectional survey. Participants numbered 292 (58 male and 234 female) students in the Faculty of Education taken with non-probability random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a scale. The research instrument used Religiosity Scale for Youth from Hernandez. The test of validity, using the Pearson product-moment correlation, with 37 items that valid and reliability using Cronbach Alpha test with 0893. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive technique and Two Way Anova. The results showed that the trend of religiosity students Including a high category in the aspect of religious belief, and the category is quite high in the aspect of religious activity. The overall dynamics of the diversity of students in the category is quite high, and the majors PLB, PLS, PGSD has a higher category. There is no difference between the gender with religiosity, but female students are higher than males.

Abstract

The background of this article came from violence cases at schoolwhich encompass physical psychological violence. Some datashow these thoughtful conditions need to be treated immediately toanticipate broader (larger) consequences for teachers, students andeducation word in Indonesia. Teachers use some kinds of abusebehavior forms as a means to make students be discipline.However, these are not such a right way for that purpose. Thereforethey will need an educational practice which is humanist forstudents. One of the supportive aspects for humanistic education isrespect. Respect is an attitude that admits, appreciate views andstand points of students without underestimate them, open to havecommunication with, and not only provide academic valuation butalso psychological security and give them success experiences.More ever, mutual respect is also important in learning activitiesbecause it can improve student learning interests and motivations.In sum, teachers need to have that kind of attitude (respect), so theycan contribute to the attainment of learning goals maximally.

Abstract

Based on the phenomenon occurred at all level of education, it was found that the circumstances of the schools were unsafe and uncomfortable for students and academics. There were a number of direct and indirect violence carried out at schools and it had impacts on physical and psychological health of students. There was no existence of positive peace in the form of structural violence, socio-cultural violence, ecological violence and negative peace such as tribal warfare, fights and aggression. What happened actually although the nature of man in conscience had the basic harmony and desire to live together in tranquility? Therefore, the common perception of the concept of peace and peace pedagogy was needed to be created. Teachers as peace educators, thus, played an important role as a figure that had the personality of peace in the classroom and at school. The teacher as a peaceful personality consisted of three components: peaceful states, attitudes, and behavior that were consistent across one’s life spaces and life span. Moreover, the school also needed to develop an educational approach in the curriculum in synergy with the goals of education.

Abstract

The planning and making of the peeler machine for coffee skin are aimed at completing the needs of SMEs at Pagerharjo, Samigaluh, Kulonprogo. The manual process is the main obstacle in peeling coffee sheets in SMEs. The main objective of creating technological innovation is to assist workers in the production process using appropriate technology to make their work more qualified, effective, and efficient. In planning and making coffee pulper, we must study some literature, make plans, calculate the process of creating tools, and evaluate the tools’ trial and error. The picture design use application, namely Autodesk Inventor. The size of the machine is 110 cm x 127 cm x 130 cm; using a motor with gas oil, and the first circle is 3600 rpm, used to pull components with the ratio 1:6, v-belt the type A 75, one solid ship with the diameter of 20 mm. the final result is that the capacity of the pulper machine for coffee is 610 kg/hour.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the capacity for peace among school counselors in implementing Merdeka Belajar. It is based on the evidence of low competence for peace among teachers. The findings reveal that teachers need improvement in understanding concepts and skills for peace which are assumed to be beneficial for themselves and the school. Peace capacity building training for teachers is one of the right steps to overcome this problem. The training was addressed to 29 School Counselors in Kulon Progo Junior High School, divided into five sessions. The training was conducted using brainstorming methods, games, role playing, watching movies, worksheets and mentoring in the preparation of action plan. Indicators of successful delivery services are measured by pre-test and post-test using the Pengembangan Kapasitas Kedamaian Scale. Pre-test 60,34 and post-test 74,10 results shows an increase in aspects of knowledge and skills. The results of the process evaluation were shown enthusiastically by the participants in each session and the evaluation of the results of all activities was shown by the testimonials of participants who felt the benefits of the training. In addition, participants revealed that training is very important to be applied in the classroom and school. Training evaluation is carried out on the process and final results of all training activities. There are two outcomes achieved, namely the implementation agreement and articles published in journals.
