Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine a model in which religious values and communication quality predict personal integrity and employee  performance.  A  total  of  129  respondents fromPolsuska Daop 5 Purwokertocompleted questionnaires. Results from structural equation modeling based smartPLS 3.0 confirmed that religious values and communication quality were positively related to personal integrity and employee performance. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of organizational citizenship behavior on HR performance with professional commitment and knowledge sharing as an intervening variable. The population used is the total number of employees of local water company (PDAM) Semarang total of them are 569 people, with a total sample of 85 people. The sampling technique is Proportional Random Sampling. The analysis tool is Partial Least Square. Another test result shows that OCB has a positive effect on professional competence. The test proves that OCB and professional competencies have a positive effect on knowledge sharing. Organizational citizenship behavior, professional competence and knowledge sharing have a positive effect on HR performance. The test results show that professional competence is able to be an intervening variable between OCB and knowledge sharing, while professional competence is not able to be an intervening variable between OCB and HR performance. Knowladge sharing is able to be an intervening variable between OCB and HR performance and knowledge sharing can also be an intervening variable between professional competence and HR performance.Keywords:    Organizational citizenship behavior, professional commitment and knowledge sharing and performance of Human Resources

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a moderating variable in increasing corporate value in manufacturing companies with variables of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure, Profitability, Intellectual Capital (VAICTM) with moderating variables of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) proxied institutional ownership in manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2012-2016. This study is included in a causative study. The population of this study is a manufacturing company listed on the Stock Exchange in 2012-2016 by using purposive sampling technique. There are 25 companies that meet the criteria as a sample so that the 110 data samples were tested using the eviews 10 student application. The results of this study state that the disclosure of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has a significant positive effect on corporate value, profitability has a significant  positive effect on corporate value, Intellectual capital (VAICTM) has a positive and insignificant effect on the value of the company, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure moderated by institutional ownership has a significant negative effect on the corporate value. With more than 50% institutional ownership, the possibility of a public response to CSR disclosure is low, profitability moderated by institutional ownership has no significant positive effect on corporate value, intellectual capital (VAICTM) moderated by negative institutional ownership are not significant. In the findings of this study, VAICTM did not have a significant effect on the corporate value so VAICTM was considered not important. The absence of additional performance due to the absence of standards for measuring intellectual capital in Indonesia. Abstract

Along with the importance of the registration of marriage, the existence of Office of Religious Affairs is a part of a local government institution that is assigned to provide services to the community. In this matter, each state organizer has an obligation to provide excellent public services, meaning that the services provided by the government should be able to provide satisfaction to the community. This article aims at discussing some efforts to improve the service of marriage registration in the Office of Religious Affairs located in Sayung, Demak, Central Java. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method based on five service dimensions. The interview, observation and documentation are conducted to gather data. The result reveals that the quality of marriage registration service in the Office of Religious Affairs, Sayung has not been achieved ultimately. In fact, the Office of Religious Affairs, Sayung does not have a minimum service standard so that people cannot assess the service standard of marriage registration clearly. Therefore, in order to improve the service of marriage registration, the officers in the Office of Religious Affairs, Sayung need to improve the quality of marriage registration services that can be achieved by completing a clear minimum service standard.Keywords: Office of Religious Affairs, Service, Marriage Registration

Abstract

This aims of the study is to describe and analyze the relationship between the effect of teacher creativity on teacher performance by work it self, innovative behavior and professional competence as an intervening variable. Based on the distribution of questionnaires to all Madrasah teachers in EastSemarang who were certified by 97, the sample of 88 respondents was obtained. The analytical tool in this researche is path analysis, where already validated and pass the reliability and classical assumptions were tested. The test results show that teacher creativity has a positive impact on work it self, innovative behavior and professional competence. The direct test results also show teacher creativity, work it self, innovative behavior and professional competence have a significant positive impact on the teacher performance. Work it self and innovative behavior also capable of being an intervening variable between teacher creativity and teacher performance. Professional competence is capable to be an intervening variable between teacher creativity and teacher performance, meaning that the higher theteacher’s ability to produce new ideas in the teaching and learning process, the competence or professionalism skills of teachers will increase so that it has an impact on the teacher performance achievement maximally.Keywords : teacher creativity, work it self, innovative behavior, professional competence and teacher performance.

Abstract

War, poverty, hunger, and health issues still remain big problems in global era. Facing an era like today, the youth can not only sit and wait for chance to come to them. Preparing the youth is one of the ways to overcome the problems. This idea is recognized by the youths themselves and has awakened an awareness to build leader characters since the very first time. There are several ways to create the leader characters and one and the most important of them is by modeling. This paper discusses how Buya Hamka’s fiction can serve as leader model for youths to be a successful entrepreneur. Through his influential literary works, Buya Hamka has introduced and exemplified the youths to face an era like today. This paper uses descriptive qualitative approach which identified the power of literary works in leading the world as seen in Buya Hamka. The data for analysis were collected by library research. Even though Buya Hamka lived in the past, his spirit and ideas are still alive and relevant that young people can adopt in the present time. Buya Hamka is an exemplary and inspiring entrepreneur who had devoted his life for people, the nation and the change of a better world.Keywords: Buya Hamka, leader characters, youth, literary work.

Abstract

Employee who are willing to voluntarily help fellow co-workers to do work outside the assigned job description and the assistance provided is not included in the performance assessment, called organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Podsakoff et.al (2000) states that OCB can influence organizational effectiveness because it can help improve co-workers productivity, increase managerial productivity and streamline the use of organizational resources for productive purposes. This research was conducted to identify the effect of Islamic work ethics, affective commitment and organizational identity on OCB. The data were collected from 110 employees at the Muhammadiyah Islamic Hospital of Kendal and the Muhammadiyah Darul Istiqomah Hospital of Kendal. The data were later analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS 24) software. The result indicate that affective commitment and organizational identity have a significant effect on OCB while Islamic work ethics have no significant effect on OCB. The researcher hopes that this research can be developed in future research by adding other variables related to OCB that may have a greater influence on OCB.Keywords: OCB, Islamic work ethics, affective commitment, organizational identity
