Abstract

The current research is intended to (1) to find out the correlation between leadership competency of the leader and the trust of the staffs, (2) to find out the correlation between wisdom of the leader and the trust of the staffs, (3) to find out the correlation among leadership competency, wisdom and trust of the teaching staffs and administration staffs at P4TK Matematika Yogyakarta Ditjen PMPTK Depdiknas. The design of the research is model testing. The population is 100 people who are selected by using purposive sampling. The data are collected using leadership competency, leadership wisdom, and trust scales. The data are analyzed by using structural equation model (SEM) using Amos version 16. The findings reveal that (1) there is a correlation between leadership competency of the leader and trust of the staffs (γ= 0,651, dan ρ= 0,000), (2) there is a correlation between wisdom of the leader and the trust of the staffs (γ= 0,430, dan ρ= 0,000); (3) there is no correlation between leadership competency and leadership wisdom, (4) the correlation between leadership and trust of the staffs is stronger than the correlation between leadership and wisdom, (5) in group, leadership competency is correlated to trust. However, in isolation, leadership has no correlation with trust.

Abstract

In determining the position of kiblat, commonly there are two techniques: calculation and measurement. One of the calculation techniques is the use of spherical trigonometry formula. Spherical trigonometry utilizes the formula of spherical triangle with earth as model. Another formula useful for determining of kiblat is the formula of analogy by Napier. The function of the formula is to calculate one angle between two places in the spherical triangle. This research is comparing the implementation of spherical trigonometry and Napier’s analogy. The finding reveals that spherical trigonometry is more accurate in determining the position of kiblat than Napier’s analogy.

Abstract

Among the seven prefixes in Indonesian, meN- is the most productive one. It is a fact that many users of Indonesian still incorrectly apply such prefix. Pre meN- is used to make verb. Morphologically, prefix meN- is combined with basic word. However, sometimes the morphological process is misunderstood, so the derived word is incorrect.

Abstract

The implementation of curriculum is a systemic process including many stakeholders. The effectiveness of a curriculum can be evaluated after it is implemented in the classroom where the teachers and the students are actively involved. The teachers, therefore, should show competency and responsibility in implementing curriculum. The current articles discusses several issues related to the implementation of curriculum in Arabic Department, namely, (1)definition of implementation, (2) definition of curriculum, (3) implementation of curriculum, (4)stages in implementing curriculum at Arabic Department.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, process, strategy, supporting and inhibiting aspects, and evaluation to improve the quality of learning through the development of arts and culture-based creativity Methods This study used a qualitative approach with multiple types of cases, its location in the SMP 2 Ngunut and MTsN Ariyojeding Rejotangan, the data in this study are primary and secondary data, engineering data collection by observation or participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. From these results the authors concluded that: (1) Syllabus and lesson plans, which are prepared each semester by the subject teachers of art and culture. (2) Processes in the two institutions are also equally divided into two, with the delivery of content and practice, which in this case were similarly associated with the environment, in order to increase students’ interest and creativity. (3) Pay attention to the material compliance strategy, timing and conditions of the students at that time. (4) Supporting aspects (proper purpose, teachers are creative, active students and spirit, facilities and infrastructure adequate, and the environmental conditions that support time), and the inhibiting aspects (related to the students’ attitude sometimes crowded during the learning process and disturb her during the learning process). (5) Evaluation used in these two institutions, namely: evaluation practice, writing and oral.

Abstract

Human being is blessed with intelligence from his birth. Generally, there are 9 types of human intelligence. Each person has different types of intelligence. One type of intelligence is logic mathematic. This type related with someone’s ability to solve the problem. He/ She is able to think and construct solution with logical order and great interest in numbers, logic, order and seriation(regularity). This type of intelligence usually can be detected from one’s mastery of mathematic. Logic mathematic intelligence can be increase by using the appropriate learning model. One of learning model is Realistic Mathematic Education with has five characteristics, they are: using context, using model, student contribution, interactivity, and intertwining.

Abstract

Education quality will be reached, if backed up by all organized education component with every consideration. Severally that component is input, process, and output, and it needs to get support utterly of side that have essential role in education institute. But one thing that as focus in here is all this time education quality be assessed with learned achievement, output that accepted at superior college, etcetera, better that thing added by religious point indicators that internalizated in self educative participant. Since religious value internalizated one in self educative participant, although participant is taught that have sky-high achievement, on eventually wills be new Gayus Tambunan. Leave from that thing, therefore so urgent to education institute, notably education intermediates for internalizate to assess religiouses into self educative participant by use of inuring via cultural religious.

Abstract

In the planning aspect of curriculum innovation to improve the quality of education well planned. An overview of the current condition of madrasah, the priority of innovation undertaken, planned in a coordinated framework. This means that the plan has previously been communicated by the headmaster with the various parties involved with the madrasah, such as teachers, staff, school committee and the parents or guardians of the students. In general planning of curriculum innovation in the form of additional hours of face to face particular subject, additional tutoring program, local content and skills Javanese fashion, language tutoring program, extracurricular programs, the conditioning program and a computer program; In the aspect of implementation, also performed well. This means before the plan implemented curriculum innovation, the need for certainty is also done by the headmaster and the people involved in the management. The school principal who had previously held agreements with teachers, staff, school committee and parents of students. So during this implementation can be said not encountered significant obstacles; and the aspect of evaluation headmaster do so through various meetings and in meetings. For a meeting with the deputy head of the Madrasah done once a month, while the teacher is done two times in one semester. As for the evaluation of the Madrasah Committee as well as with the parents at the end of the semester.

Abstract

Antusisame world Islamic education in carrying Tahfidz Quran needs to get a positive response and a serious concern, especially related strategies to develop it. This is because there are still some difficulties were experienced by some Islamic educational institutions, among others: poor management of Tahfidz, less active role of the teacher / instructor Tahfidz in guiding and motivating students penghafal Koran, mechanisms and methods applied by teachers Tahfidz , lack of parental support, and lack of control and motivation superiors. To overcome these weaknesses is necessary strategies include: mamanej Tahfidz well, activating the role of teachers and motivate students Tahfidz, perfecting mechanisms and methods Tahfidz, optimize parental support, and optimize control and motivation superiors.

Abstract

Problem solving is a high level of mental activity, where every student has the ability or cognitive styles vary, so the ability to solve problems will also be different. Cognitive styles one can explain the success of individual differences in learning. In evaluating the achievement of learning outcomes currently only gives emphasis on the cognitive goals without regard to the dimensions of cognitive processes, particularly metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive skills. As a result, efforts to introduce metacognition in solving mathematical problems to students is very less. Metacognition is the students ‘knowledge of cognition involving awareness of their own thinking in terms of the ability of planning, monitoring and evaluation process of thinking. The purpose of this article to describe a strategy to build students’ metacognition when solving math problems. With the development of metacognition awareness, students are expected to get used to monitor, control and evaluate what has been and will be done, so that students know and realize the strengths and the weaknesses in solving mathematical problems.
