Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of combination of bio-slurry fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth and production of two varieties of rice. The experiment was assigned in a completely randomized design of factorial pattern. The first factor was the combination of bio-slurry and NPK fertilizer that consisted of P0 = no added fertilizer (control) 0 ton/ha, P1 = NPK fertilizer 550 kg/ha (165 kg N, 33 kg P, 45 kg K); P2 = bio-slurryfertilizer 2.3 tons/ha (45 kg N, 14 kg P, 23 kg K) and NPK fertilizer 400 kg/ha (120 kg N, 24 kg P, 32 kg K); P3 = bio-slurryfertilizer 4.6 tons/ha (90 kg N, 28 kg P, 46 kg K) and NPK fertilizer 250 kg/ha (75 kg N, 15 kg P, 20 kg K); P4 = bio-slurry fertilizer 5.9 tons/ha (115 kg N, 36 kg P, 59 kg K) and NPK fertilizer 100 kg/ha (30 kg N, 6 kg P, 8 kg K); and P5 = bio-slurryfertilizer 8.5 tons/ha (165 kg N, 52 kg P, 85 kg K). The second factor was varieties of rice that consisted of V1 : IR-64 and V2 : Ciherang. Each treatment was repeated three times. Parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, weight of 1.000 grains, and rice production. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the combination of bio-slurry fertilizer and NPK fertilizer were significantlyaffect (p <0.05)all observation parameters, while varieties of wetland rice did not show significant effect on all observation parameters (p<0.05). The application of bio-slurry fertilizer in single treatment or in either combination with NPK fertilizer had the same result with the treatment of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of rice. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengkaji keberhasilan sambung samping tanaman durian pada berbagai taraf konsentrasi IAA dan umur batang bawah yang berbeda. Penelitian disusun dengan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi auksin IAA (0, 75 da 150 ppm) dan faktor kedua adalah umur batang bawah (6, 9, dan 12 bulan). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang 5 kali. Parameter yang diamati yaitu waktu keberhasilan sambungan, waktu pecah tunas, panjang tunas, jumlah daun terbuka, dan lebar tajuk. Data dianalisis ragam dan dilanjutkan uji DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh pada taraf konsentrasi IAA sedangkan taraf umur batang bawah memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap jumlah daun terbuka dan lebar tajuk. Tidak ada interaksi antara taraf konsentrasi IAA dan umur batang bawah yang berbeda terhadap sambung samping durian vaietas bawor. Kata kunci : durian bawor, IAA, sambung samping, umur batang bawah

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemupukan organik diperkaya batuan fosfat terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi okra. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok monofaktor dengan perlakuan pupuk T1. Batuan fosfat (BP), T2. Kompos azolla pinnata, T3. Pupuk kandang (pukan) sapi, T4. Pukan kambing, T5. Pukan ayam, T6. Kompos Azolla pinnata+BP, T7. Pukan sapi+BP, T8. Pukan kambing+BP, T9. Pukan ayam+BP, diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Parameter yang diamati tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah, berat segar buah dan produksi bahan kering. Data dianalisis ragam dan uji lanjut dengan Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pukan ayam diperkaya BP menghasilkan tinggi tanaman 154,00 cm dan jumlah daun 22,56 helai lebih tinggi dibanding perlakuan lainnya. Perlakuan kompos azolla, pukan sapi, kambing, dan ayam diperkaya BP menghasilkan berat buah segar lebih tinggi dibanding kompos dan pukan tanpa diperkaya BP. Perlakuan kompos dan pukan diperkaya BP maupun tidak, menghasilkan jumlah buah yang tidak berbeda nyata. Pukan kambing+BP dan pukan ayam+BP menghasilkan bahan kering masing-masing 107,79 dan 105,53 g nyata lebih tinggi dibanding perlakuan lainnya. Perlakuan batuan fosfat tunggal nyata lebih rendah untuk semua parameter dibanding perlakuan lainnya.

Abstract

Farming development through farmer groups is an effort to accelerate the improvement of farmers' welfare. The purpose of this research was to analyze the role of farmer groups as learning class, cooperation vehicle, and production unit in influencing farmer behavior, access of production facilities, application of Integrated Crop Management (ICM) and farming profit. The research population was members of farmer groups in Kecamatan Sale Kabupaten Rembang who have irrigated land with an area of 0.2-0.5 Ha. Determination of sampling was done by using purposive random sampling method with total sample of 276 farmers. Interviews with questionnaires were used as data collection methods. Data were analyzed using path analysis to know the relationships between variables. Results of research indicated that role of farmer group as study class, cooperation vehicle, and production unit had an effect to farmer behavior. The role of farmer groups as a vehicle for cooperation, production unit and farmer behavior had an effect on access production facilities. Behavior of farmers and access to production facilities affected the application of ICM. The application of ICM had an effect on the profit of farming. R/C Ratio of paddy farming in Sale District, Rembang Regency was equal to 1,23. Keywords : farmer group; farmer behavior; application of ICM

Abstract

The research aimed to study the effect of combination fertilizer by bio-slurryand urea on the growth and yield of soybean. The experiment was assigned in monofactor randomized complete block design with treatment P0 (Control, without fertilizer), P1 (Bio-slurry10 t/ha + Urea 25 kg/ha), P2 (Bio-slurry10 t/ha + Urea 50 kg/ha), P3 (Bio-slurry10 t/ha + Urea 75 kg/ha), P4 (Bio-slurry10 t/ha + Urea 100 kg/ha), P5 (Bio-slurry10 t/ha). Each treatment was replicated five times. Parameters measured were plant height, leaf number, plant dry matter, 100 seeds weight, and nitrogen total of soybean’s stover. Data were subjected to anova and followed by DMRT. The result showed that combination by bioslurry with urea has incrased growth and yield of soybean significantly (P<0,05). Bio-slurry + urea 50 kg/ha has increased high plant (28.10 cm) and leave number (8.48 leaves) higher compared to another treatments. Bio-slurry + urea 25 kg/ha non-significantly different with bio-slurry + urea 50 kg/ha on dry matter and 100 seeds weight, although higher than another treatments. Nitrogen total of stover of 62.88 g/plant has resulted by bio-slurry + urea 25 kg/ha which was higher than other treatments, but non-significantly different with bio-slurry + urea 50 kg/ha (50.63 g/plant). Abstract

The purpose of the research was to study the influence silica and concentration of NAA for moon orchid (Phalaenopsis amabilis L.) growth in acclimatization. The experiment was assigned in completely randomized factorial design with the first factor was silica (non silika and with silica) and the second factor was NAA concentrations (0, 50, 100, and 150 ppm). Each treatments was repeated three times. Parameters measured were the percentage of plant life, number of leaves,  length of leaf,  width of leaf, number of roots, length of root and fresh weight of plants. Data were subjected to ANOVA and followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test. The result showed that aplication silica increased fresh weight of plants. Application of NAA concentrations (50, 100, and 150 ppm) decreased percentage of plant life, leaght of leaf, and fresh weight of plants. Interaction of silica and NAA concentrations showed did not significantly effect. Keyword : Moon orchid, silica, NAA, aclimatization

Abstract

The aims of the research were to analyze light addition at the night to chrysanthemum plant with a difference irradiation length of hours and total of days on growth and weight of plant. This irradiation factor in chrysanthemum plants can affect vegetative growth. The light came from TL lamps with 23 watt of power. The experimental design used was the split block design with the main plot was long irradiation in hours: 1 hour (P1); 2 hours (P2); 3 hours (P3) and 4 hours (P4). While the sub plot was an extension of light in the case of 21 days (H1); 28 days (H2); 35 days (H3) and 42 days (H4). Replication was done 3 times. The results showed the use of irradiation applications above 3 hours and 42 days increased plant height, leaf number, fresh and dry weight of plant. Keywords : Chrysanthemum, irradiation, light.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan BAP dan IAA pada media pengakaran kultur jaringan terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman pisang raja bulu (Musa paradisiaca). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Kebun Benih Hortikultura Salaman, Magelang pada bulan Juni hingga Agustus 2018. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan 4 (empat) kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah hormon BAP dengan konsentrasi masing-masing 0 ; 0,5 ; 1 ; 1,5 ; dan 2 ppm, faktor kedua yaitu hormon IAA dengan konsentrasi 0, 1, 2, 3, dan 4 ppm. Kombinasi perlakuan sebanyak 25 dengan 4 kali ulangan, sehingga terdapat 100 unit percobaan yang setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 5 planlet pisang raja bulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh interaksi perlakuan BAP dan IAA terhadap parameter pertumbuhan planlet pisang raja bulu. Kombinasi BAP 1 ppm + IAA 3 ppm memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada jumlah daun dan diameter batang, sedangkan kombinasi BAP 0,5 ppm + IAA 4 ppm memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada jumlah akar dan panjang akar. Kombinasi BAP 1,5 ppm + IAA 4 ppm memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada tinggi planlet. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah zat pengatur tumbuh BAP 0,5 – 1,5 ppm + IAA 3 – 4 ppm direkomendasikan untuk media pengakaran kultur jaringan pisang raja bulu. Abstract

The purpose of the research was to assess the effectiveness of soil solarization and biological agent Trichoderma harzianum application in controlling lateblight disease caused by Phytophthora infestans on potato. The experiment was assigned in a split plot design with soil solarization as main plot and the density of Trichoderma harzianum as sub-plot. Soil solarization treatment consisted of solarization (A1) and non-solarization (B1). Density of Trichoderma harzianum used is B1(control)= 0g, B2 = 10g (107 cfu/l), B3 = 20g (2 x 108 cfu/l), B4 = 30g (3 x 108 cfu/l) and B5 = 40 g (4 x 108 cfu/l). Soil solarization treatment is carried out by using transparent polyethylene sheets with a thickness of 45 µm. Parameters measured were soil temperature, intensity level of pathogen attack, the rate of infection and total yield. Data were subjected to ANOVA and followed by LSD test. Soil solarization for 4 weeks increase the soil temperature by 7,6oC and significantly increase the production of potato by 14.28%. Application of biological agent Trichoderma harzianum on level B4 30g (3 x 108 cfu /L) gives the best results in reducing the the intensity level of pathogen attack by 69.13% and the rate of disease infection into 1,012 unit/day. The results of this research may provide benefical information in the future for plant protection activities.   Keywords : P.infestans, Trichoderma harzianum, soil solarization, potato

Abstract

This research has an aim to observe the production of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) on hydroponic technology of floating system with red and blue LED (Light Emitting Diode) at night. This research was conducted inside the Screenhouse in which located on the top of Griya Kads House building, Bulusan Village, Tembalang Sub-district from May to June 2017. The research was conducted by 3x3 factorial experiments in Nested Design with 3 replications. The first factor was 0, 1.5 and 3 hours irradiation of red and blue LED lights at night. The second factor was 3, 5 and 7 ml/liter of AB mix nutrient concentration which was nested in the first factor. The data collected were fresh weight, dry weight and root canopy ratio. The results of the study showed that the treatment of AB mix nutrient concentration had no significant effect on all parameters. The production of lettuce with level of 5 ml concentration of AB mix was quite good, yet 3 ml and 7 ml levels didn’t improve lettuce production. The duration of red and blue LED irradiation only resulted in an increase in the production of canopy fresh weight. This research can be concluded that 3 hours was sufficient to give the good results to improve the results of lettuce plants production.
