Abstract

Madrasa transformation from time to time is based on rational choice which decisioned by leaders, managers, and society. Within the perspective of RCT, that rational choice prefer to the economic concept of making profis and inhibiting loss. As the transformation of the earlier educational institution, Madrasa Nizhamiyah depicts rational choice from its historical background, implemented educational practices, qualifiation of its graduates, andsociety responses towards it. Rational choice which generally bases madrasa transformation in Indonesia is heterogeneous. It shows from non-cooperative action with the government (madrasa in the era of colonization); cooperative action with the government (madrasa in the era of the old order); cooperative action with society needs and working world (madrasa in the era of the new order) and the inclusive-predictive action with the world development (madrasa in the era of reformation and globalization).Keywords: Transformation, Madrasa, RCT, Rational Choice

Abstract

This research is intended to look into the existence of Province Acreditation for School and Islamic School in Jambi through the policies and programs executed, include the result of acreditation for islamic school at Ministry of Religious Affairs in Jambi. The data from Jambi Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2012 showed that from 538 islamic schools which have been acreditated, ie:(a) 244 Islamic Kindergarten, 169 (7,63%) kindergartens were acreditated, 75 (28,37%) kindergartens were not acreditated, (b). 263 Islamic Elementary School, 171 (61%) schools were acreditated, 98 (38,20%) schools were not acreditated, (c) 345 Islamic Junior High School, 158 (44,99 %) schools were acreditated, 187 (55,01%) schools were not acreditated and (d) 184 Islamic Senior High School, 88 (47,01%) schoolswere acreditated and 96 (52,99%) schools were not acreditated. From 1036 educational institutions, there have been 450 (43,44%) islamic schools which were acreditated while there were 586 (56,56%) isclamic schools which were not acreditated. The main problem which happenned was there were many islamic schools got C in acreditation and even some schools were not acreditated. It was caused by: (a) socialization, (b) limitted fund, (c) geographical condition, (d) the low network among islamic schools and (e) there were many policies which have not been accompanied by commitment fully.Keywords : Madrasah/School Acreditation Board, The Quality Of Madrasah Education.

Abstract

Internalization of religious values in accordance with the circumstances and conditions that are educational environment. In environmental and historical roots, madrasah system can not be separated from the symbol ofIslam as a public education forum distinctively Islamic religious. Incorporating Islamic values in teaching materials tematic in madrassas have a very important role in giving directions the life of mankind. Islamic values derived from religious instructions as a guide in efforts to achieve a meaningful life in the context of teaching materials thematic my food healthy and nutritious value of Islam can be tangible in the sub-theme (1) Halal Food and Thayyib, (2) Avail Halal Food and Thayyib, (3) Adab Eat Messenger.Keywords: Islamic values, thematic materials

Abstract

Learning with abductive-deductive strategy is the type of a new approach learning of mathematical thought processes. The purpose of this research is to improve students’ mathematical disposition using abductive-deductivestrategy. Research carried out a nonrandomized control group, prescalepostscale design in eleventh class in one high school in Pati regency, Central Java. Data analysis was conducted quantitative-qualitative research by category early mathematical ability (KAM) and overall. In addition, purpose of research is to also analyze the interaction between learning and KAM. The results showed that the increase of students who got a mathematical disposition learning with abductive-deductive strategy have same result with the students who got expository. In more detail, the category of upper class and middle class is showing the same increase. While the below categories has an increased disposition smaller than the expository. Interaction between learning and KAM to increase the disposition showed no signifiant relationship. This research expected teachers to notice early mathematical ability of students in mathematicsand give special attention related to increase in students’ mathematical disposition, due to certain student groups despite a suitable learning to improve students’ mathematical ability and disposition, however differentthe early mathematical ability showed different resultsKeywords: Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif, Peningkatan, Disposisi Matematis.

Abstract

One of the causes of those unsuccessfull students is the monotonous learning model. The learning process of the concept, it cannot well associate the abstract ideas to the real world. One of the learning models that can solve this problem is the contextual learning. The procedures of the contextual learning done in this research involve the process of : (1) exploring and using the students’ concept which have been achieved by the students in the opening learning; (2) creating a study society in mastering new concepts;(3) utilization of learning medias in learning process; (4) reflction of the concepts which have been studied; and (5) testing the concept acquisition by personal student. Abstract

Most of the concepts in science are abstract ones. These concepts tend to be diffiult to study by students who have not developed formal thinking ability. This diffiulty may cause misconception, i.e. students’ conceptions which are different from those generally accepted by the scientificommunity. Understanding of teacher in non PGMI / PGSD on material science at Islamic Elementary School is still considered to be lacking or need improvement. Abstract

Discussing about the implementation of madrasa quality increasement management is inseparable from the concept of management, roles and responsibility of management, the concept of quality, and how to implement madrasa quality increasement management itself. The effort of increasingquality of madrasa is basically conducted to face the competitive educational world, especially to face the issue of ASEAN community which starts from 2015. Furthermore, the big challenge for madrasa is how should madrasaprepare themself in increasing students’ competencies and all aspect related to instructional process. Therefore, the concept related to management, roles and responsibility of management, the concept of quality, and how to implement madrasa quality increasement management itself will bediscussed below.Keywords: Management, Quality, Madrasa.
