Abstract

Hormonal contraceptive injections kind in Indonesia has become widely used as an effective, user and practical, relatively inexpensive and safe. However, injections also have many side effects such as weight gain, headaches, and breast tenderness, also often cause menstrual disorders such as amenorrhea. In the complaint acceptor kb injection, menstrual disorders are more dominant than others ie amenorrhoea by 30%. In brief, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the use of the type of injectable contraceptive acceptors incidence of amenorrhea in injecting in Bpm Ch Susilowati, Treko, Mungkid 2014.         This research is analytic survey using cross sectional design. The population in this study are all active acceptor CICs in BPM Ch Susilowati, Treko, Mungkid April 42 acceptors. The sampling technique in this study was non-random with accidental sampling.The results showed in the univariate variables are most respondents use any type of contraceptive DMPA injection acceptors were 26 (61.9%) and the majority of respondents experienced amenorhea incidence of 25 acceptors (59.5%). Contingency coefficient test results obtained significance p value ≤ 0.05 is 0.003. This suggests an association with the use of injectable contraceptives types amenorhea events. The magnitude of the strength of the relationship is 0.412 which means the strength of the relationship is moderate.             For midwives are expected to improve counseling about the benefits and side effects of hormonal contraceptives that one of them is in the form of menstrual cycle disorders amenorrhoea sehngga can reduce anxiety acceptor with respect to adverse events occurred.

Abstract

Background:  smoking is a part of life of the people of Indonesia, the evidence is not difficult to find a person or family with this habit, especially at house. Increase the number of smokers, more people are affected by the smoke who called passive smoking.The impact of cigarette smoke exposure on toddlerhealth include slow lung growth, more susceptible to bronchitis and respiratory tract and ear infections and asthma. Based on the results of interviews with 10 family of toddlers ARI patient members obtained information that 8 of them, the parents are smokers.The purpose of this study : To determine the relationship cigarette smoke exposure in the incidence of Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) in toddlersat  Pucung Rejo Village Magelang Regency.Methods: This study was an analytical study using cross sectional design with a sample of toddler aged 2 months-5 years in Pucung Rejo Village of Magelang Regency as many as 42 toddlers. The data using questionnaires.Results: Based on the analysis results can be seen that p 0.05 and a correlation coefficient calculation 0,537 shows that Correlation Between Cigarette smoke exposure in the incidence of Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) in toddlersat  Pucung Rejo Village Magelang Regency with moderate strength.Conclusions and suggestions: Most of toddlers get smoke exposure and experience ARI not pneumonia.The author expects that parents eliminate the habit of smoking or smokers who have children are expected to not smoke around children or inside the house which also contained a toddler.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding has many benefits such as to improve intelligence, ASI has a psychological effect that can bring mothers with babies, and breast milk as the main nutrient in infants. Infants age is particularly vulnerable to nutritional problems of malnutrition, thus nutrients babies need for compliance in accordance with the needs of such infants exclusively breastfedTo determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and nutritional status of infants aged 7-8 months at the health center with Tlogomulyo, Temanggung.Research is conduvted useanalytic correlation with cross sectional designon a sample of 47 cases, taken with a total sampling. Univariate analysis used is the dstribusi frequency, bivariate coefisien contingensi.The majority of infants aged 7-8 months in the region Tlogomulyo Health Center, Waterford given exclusive breastfeeding with 28 percent of respondents (59.6%) compared with exclusive breastfeeding is only 19 respondents (40.4%). Most respondents had a normal nutritional status were 21 respondents (44.7%). The results of the analysis of exclusive breastfeeding relationship with the nutritional status of infants aged 7-8 months resulted in p value of 0.014 and r value of 0.391, which means there is a connection because valuenya p-value 0.05 with a low level of closeness of the relationship..To mothers who had infants aged 0-6 months in order to remain granted exclusive breastfeeding until the baby is older than 6 months to meet the needs of the baby, and the head of the health center in order to improve the level of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding and infant nutrition status

Abstract

Most pregnant women are still found lazy oral hygiene like brushing your teeth regularly and in the right way. As a result of gum tissue susceptible to infection. If the gums are attacked by germs will occur so inflamed gum infec-tions, commonly called gingivitis (Machfoedz, 2008). There are hormonal changes during pregnancy. The study aims to determine the differences in the health status of gingival tissue in each trimester of gestation in pregnant women in health centers Bradford Brits. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, cross-sectional approach. The independent variable in this study was trimester of gestation and depen-dentnya variable is the health status of gingival tissue. The population in this study consisted of pregnant women the first trimester, second trimester, third trimester, amounting to 337 people. To determine the number of samples is determined as much as 10% of the population of 337 pregnant women, so that the results of the calculation, the number of 34 samples. Stratified sampling technique sampling sample is divided into levels or strata (Arikunto, 2002). Data analysis will be performed by uni-variate and bivariate. Bivariate test with comparative test using independent t-test. The results showed that the state of the gum tissue status in pregnant women in the first trimester is either 8 (73%), the second trimester in a bad criterion (64%), the third trimester in a bad criterion (58%). Test results with independent t-test was obtained p. value = 0.048, shows that there are differences in the incidence bermakana gingival health status in each trimester of pregnancy. Advice to pregnant women, especially for the second and third trimesters should pay more attention to the health condition of the teeth and mouth, drink water, eat it the fruit, vegetables and protein-rich meal, calories and energy. Routine dental and oral health check since the first trimester.

Abstract

Maternal mortality in Indonesia is still quite high, one reason is postpartum hemorrhage. Efforts to prevent postpartum hemorrhage can be done with the administration of oxytocin. The hormone oxytocin plays a role in the process of return of the uterus to its original shape. Oxytocin is also working spur spending reflex ASI Let Down Reflex (LDR).To examine the effectiveness of massage to stimulate the hormone oxytocin in the mother postpartum primiparaThis quasi-experimental research designs, sampling techniques with simple random sampling of 60 people, 30 people in treatment group and 30 controls. The research instrument that is the observation sheet. The massage is done every day, from day 1 to day 14 post partum. TFU measurement observations, kind lochea, weight baby day 1, 4, 7, 10, 14. Statistical test with Mann Whitney.Massage to stimulate the oxytocin hormone has a high effectiveness against changes in the uterine fundus on the day 7 and 10 of 0.023 and 0.0001 (p 0.05), to change the type of lochea on the day 4, 7, 10, 14 amounted to 0.015, 0.001, 0.000, 0.000 (p 0.05), the production of breast milk in the day 7 and 10 of 0.000, 0.031 (p 0.05)

Abstract

Based on the results of the initial survey in Magelang district health center 80% of midwives do not perform in accordance with the standard practice of antenatal this strengthens the case investigators that good antenatal screening practices should get good support, especially from leaders, friends and family midwife. This research method is an explanatory research approach contingentcy crosectional coefficient. The population in this study was a midwife in Magelang district some 80 people. Sample with slovin formula showed 30 respondents . Samples were obtained by proportional random sampling. The sample came from the area Temangung  results showed the majority of practicing midwives in antenatal screening in good categories 56.2%. The research method used by researchers to obtain data is a questionnaire for the free variable and observational support by using the checklist for the dependent variable high risk antenatal screening practices. Based on the analysis, this study concludes that: the support of the family, especially the husband was very influential on antenatal screening by village midwife friend . Also support profession, especially in terms of information about the practice of antenatal discussion particularly high risk antenatal screening, the higher the support of family and friends profession , make    practice screening antenatal midwife  better. Proven support has significant influence on the practice of antenatal screening midwife is 60% support profession  friends with p value of 0.021 and   support   family  midwives 75%  with p value 0.027.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the character education, and the results are expect- ed to be useful theoretically and practically in the development of character education.               Concurrent method using mixed methods research, design, sequential explanatory designs, which collects qualitative data was first performed and analyzed by content analysis in accordance stages.               Results of the survey respondents' choice of the base value, respectively, the value of religiosity, peaceloving, hard work, discipline, responsibility, and to be honest, caring social and communicative. In terms of implementation, planning, through a program that is still separate, formulated by the Court subject to the specific, stand-alone activity dilaksanan between curricular, co-curricular and extra. While the evaluation and assessment through quantitative assessment of the knowledge element.            In conclusion, the educational value of these characters, do not yet have clear arguments, then in terms of the planning, implementation and evaluation have not been integrated. Given the importance of a value, for students, it would require more research is needed lanjud and policy / program from stakeholders

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is the highest in ASEAN. The maternal mortality rate (MMR) can be used as one indicator of public welfare, especially maternal health indicators with a target of 2015 MMR pressed until the number 102 per 100.000 live births. This research is qualitative research. Data was collected in triangulation, data analysis is inductive. The study population of pregnant women with pre-eclampsia.            Research subjects pregnant women with pre-eclampsia in the general hospital Semarang. Data were collected by in-depth interview techniques. Processing and analysis of data using content analysis.            The results showed that a history of behavior: 1) of the ANC's behavior in accordance with a standard that is at least four times. Pre-eclampsia detected in the third trimester of pregnancy at the age of 8-9 months. 2) Behavior diet during pregnancy is still health qualify because there is no prohibition to eat 3) Behavior patterns of daily activity is working in a factory so there is a double burden of household and help make a living; 4) The behavior of respondents lifestyle there is not a healthy behavior to follow pregnancy exercise for reasons no time; 5) Behavior efforts in the health seeking diligently check the ANC and agree referenced when detected pre eclampsia. Midwife should be advised early detection, emphasizing visit once a week in third trimester and provide health education to pregnant women and families  about preeclampsia.

Abstract

Pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhea) are the most common complaints in women. To reduce pain during menstruation (primary dysmenorrhea) there are several ways including the use of drugs - drugs analgesic, anti-inflammatory, the use of herbal remedies, relaxation techniques, exercise period, as well as massage therapy.    The study aims to determine the effectiveness of consumption of dark chocolate and ginger to reduce the scale of pain in primary dysmenorrhea. This type of research is a Quasi experiment, the type of study design pretest - posttest with control group. Respondents in this experiment is a student hostel Bhakti Husada Polytechnic of Semarang Kemenkes a level 1 each - each group of 17 people for giving dark chocolate, Ginger and Control. The instruments used are NRS (Numerik Rating Scale). Data was analyzed by univariate and bivariate.Obtained results showed p-value of 0.029 (α 0.05) showed that there were significant differences between awarding dark chocolate and Ginger to decrease menstrual pain compared to the control group. Abstract

In Kendal for 3 years an increasing number of early age pregnant mother and maternal and infant mortality of early age pregnant mother. These deaths are more prevalent in the northern coast than the mountains, while supporting the health infrastructure in the northern coast more complete. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influencing the antenatal care practice to early age pregnant mother in the northern coast of Kendal. Type of study is explanatory research using the survey method and cross sectional approach. Subjects were 35 early age pregnantmother third trimester from the coast, was selected for a total sampling. Data were collected through interviews with a structured questionnaire. Tests performed with chi-square bivariate and multivariate logistic regression test. The independent variables are the characteristics (age, reason for marriage, education, and employment), income, knowledge, attitudes, acceptance of pregnancy, family support, spousal support and the support of health professionals. Dependent variables prenatal care practices. The majority of respondents aged 17-19 years old, married on their own, low education, the majority do not work with household income ≥ minimum wage (Rp 843,750.00) as much as 62.9%. Respondents with a much better knowledge of 54.3%, has a good attitude toward prenatal care 57.1%. Respondents who received pregnancy with either 57.1%, of respondents with good family support 57.1%. Support 88.6% a good husband, a good support health workers 57.1%. Respon-dents with good prenatal care 57.1%. There is a relationship between income (p=0.005), knowledge (p=0.016), attitude (p=0.005) and the acceptance of pregnancy (p = 0.034) with the practice of prenatal care. Attitudes, income and the acceptance of the pregnancy together relate to the practice of prenatal care. The dominant factor associated with the practice of prenatal care is the attitude with OR=15.6. Suggested to the Department of Health to develop SOP and antenatal package in high risk pregnant mother spesially to early age pregnant mother. In addition it is necessary jampersal outreach and cooperation between KUA and Health Office for assistance early age brides in choosing contraception.
