Abstract

Based on the field observation showed that generally students training’s departement of the Faculty of Sport Science Padang State University have still lack of handstand skill especially in the course of basic gymnastics in semester januari - june 2013. The purposed of this study is to find out wether direct spotting will have a significant effect to handstand.The population in this study were all students training’s departement of the Faculty of Sport Science Padang State University were amount 110 people. Random sampling was used to obtain 12 people samples of 10-15% of the total population. The data of the handstand were collected by observation sheet tables of assessment by the jury or the assessment team. The results of the analysis of the data showed that There is an effect of direct spotting toward handstand on students training’s departement of the Faculty of Sport Science Padang State University t test (83.9)> t (1.796).

Abstract

This research aims to know 1) the increase in the ability of mathematical representations of students through guided discovery methods GeoGebra software assisted and guided discovery method without software GeoGebra, 2) the interactionbetween the learning and early mathematical ability of students on increase students' ability of mathematical representations. This study is a quasi-experimental research. The instruments used are mathematical representations ability tests. The data obtained was analyzed using analysis of covariance with SPSS. Based on the analysis concluded that 1) the increased ability of mathematical representations of students through guided discovery learning methods GeoGebra software assisted higher than the increase in the ability of mathematical representations of students through guided discovery learning method without software GeoGebra. There is no interaction between the learning and early mathematical ability of students on increase students'ability of mathematical representations. Students activity in learning by using guided discovery method with software Geogebra was better than students activity without Geogebra software.

Abstract

This study uses action research (action research) as much as two rounds. Each round consists of four phases: design, activities and observations, reflections, and revision. This research target is class VI SD Negeri 002 Bangun Purba. The data obtained as the result of formative tests, observation sheet teaching and learningactivities. From the analyst found that student achievement increased minimum completeness criteria from the first cycle to the third cycle, namely, the first cycle (34.62%) and the second cycle (76.93%). Cycle III 100%. Conclusions from this research is a model of teaching mind mapping can be a positive influence on achievement, interest, attention, and participation, motivation to learn Class VI SD Negeri 002 Bangun Purba and this model can be used as an alternative learning mathematics.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the activity and results of learning English through the method of administration tasks for Class X SMAN Rambah Hilir Rokan Hulu. This type of research is a classroom action research investigators. The model used in this study is a model cycle. The strategy used in this study is  classroom action research strategy with measures to hold action planning, observation or observation, carry out analysis and reflection. Data collection techniques used to obtain data inthis study, among other tests, as well as direct observation. The results showed that activity and increased student learning outcomes, in the first cycle obtained an average of learning outcomes, namely 76%. In Cycle II obtained an average value ofvalues of learning outcomes, namely 89%. From the results of these studies concluded that learning by using the method of administration tasks can increase the activity of students in learning English, and learning outcomes in students of Class X SMAN 02 Rambah Hilir to provide reinforcement and allow more students to participate in learning.

Abstract

It concluded that the teaching modelof collaboration can be a positive influence on learning achievement of learning class IV SDN 002 Bangun Purba and this model can be used as an alternative learning civics.

Abstract

he successfull degree of teachers’ training and education faculty students’ of Pasir Pengraian University in educational process is influenced by Intelectual factor and Non-intelectual factor. Intelligent, interest, and talent are included to intelctual factor. The indicator to indicate it, we can see from report score and educational beackground of students. Non-intelctual factor; such as environment conditions and learning method also influence learning successfull of FKIP UPP students. The conditions of learning environment are like the home status, the large of classroom, the light, and the interaction with the environment. Beside that, the method and learning time also support the learning successfull of FKIP UPP Students’.

Abstract

Expected competencies in science learning requires students to maximize learning. To achieve these objectives required a great effort from the teachers and students. Strategies and learning model that has been used so far have not been able to increase the activity and student learning outcomes. The work done to overcome this problem with the application of multimedia learning. The results showed that learning by using multimedia to improve learning outcomes in the material science of natural events and natural resources in the classroom VA SD Negeri 002 Rambah, which is in the initial conditions before the results of actions by the average value of 77.31 (enough). In the first cycle by using multimedia to an increase so that the average value of the class into 85.19 (good). In the second cycle showed an increase in average earned 85.96 (good). Classical learning completeness students has increased that the first cycle of 76.92% (enough) increased in the second cycle into 88.46% (good), average student activity ranging from the first cycle to the secondcycle which is 94.47% (excellent ) with very good category. The average teacher activity first cycle that 87.5% (good) and cycle II had risen to 96% (excellent).

Abstract

The puposes of this study was to provide an overview of the effectiveness of leadership in FKIP UPP. The effectiveness of leadership will be seen from the style in giving orders, force in giving the award, the style in taking decisions and style ofdelegating authority.This research was quantitative descriptive. The population of this study wasFKIP UPP Lecturers. Questionnaires were distributed to all lecturers and returned about 32 pieces. The sample was taken by total sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire with Likert scale model. Data was analyzed by using descriptive analysis.The result of the research shows that generally, the leadership style in FKIP UPP was a democratic leadership style (48.89%). The styleof leadership in providing the order was the democratic style (57.03%). Leadership style in giving the award was laissez faire style (51.04%). Style of leadership in taking decision was the democratic style (46.87%). Leadership style in delegating authority was democratic style (43.75%).

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning ability is one of the important and fundamental skills in mathematics. Mathematical reasoning skills students can improve through a learning that requires involvement of the student in building his own knowledge. One isthrough problem based learning. This research is a descriptive qualitative with the aim to determine the level of mastery of mathematical reasoning abilities of students after participating in problem based learning and determines the range of the mistakes made by students in answering questions of mathematical reasoning abilities. The method used is method of testing, observation, and interviews. The results showed that students' mathematical reasoning skills after participating in problem-based learning is good. Variety mistakes made by students are do not understand of questions, misconceptions, mistakes perform arithmetic operations, and error using the formula.
