SHAHIH: Journal of Islamicate Multidisciplinary is an Islamic Study Research Journal published by the Department of Research and Public Service (LPPM) of the State Islamic Institute of Surakarta ( IAIN Surakarta). First published in 2016, SHAHIH is published twice a year (June and December). The released articles are the publication of Islamic Study Research that consist of fieldwork as well as text that is reviewed from various perspectives, in terms of health sciences, social sciences and humanities, material sciences and engineering, life and biomedical sciences, etc. This journal is dedicated to explore and socialize various creative and innovative new ideas from the researchers, academics, and practitioners who focus on the development of Islamic Study.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is intended to describe the relationship between religion and State in handling the Halal products certification in Indonesia and Thailand. Halal certification in Indonesia was initially civil society movement that supported by the state, which is taken by LPPOM MUI.  The main objective was to protect Muslim from Haram products.  However, by coming out of law no. 33 2014 about halal product guarantee, the halal certification will be carried out by the state institution, that is Security Agency Halal Products known as BPJPH. While in Thailand, Halal product certification is the authority of Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT) which is similar to the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). In Thailand, Halal product certification has much giving supports to the government economic, especially for the purpose of exporting food to the Muslim countries and also to attract Muslim tourist to visit Thailand. Keywords: Religion, Country, Halal Certification  AbstrakPenelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan antara agama dan negara dalam penanganan sertifikasi produk halal di Indonesia dan Thailand. Indonesia pada awalnya sertifikasi halal merupakan gerakan civil society yang didukung negara, yaitu LPPOM MUI. Tujuan utamanya adalah melindungi umat islam dari barang-barang haram. Namun dengan keluarnya Undang-undang Nomor 33 Tahun 2014 Tentang Jaminan Produk Halal, penanganan sertifikasi halal akan dilakukan oleh lembaga negara, yaitu Badan penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH).  Sedangkan di Thailand sertifiksi halal menjadi wewenang penuh Central Islamic Council Of Thailand (CICOT), semacam MUI di Indonesia. Di Thailand sertifikasi produk halal sangat membantu negara di sektor ekonomi, terutama untuk kepentingan ekspor makanan ke negara-negara muslim serta menarik wisatawan muslim ke Thailand. Kata Kunci: Agama, negara, sertifikasi halal

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of this article is to explore the concept of Islam Nusantara (IN) observed from the structural theory of Islam and local culture relation, along with the reason why IN is developed into the concept of the Islamic proselytizing Rahmatan lil’alamin by the intellectual Nahdhatul Ulama (NU). It comes from the NU Intellectual’s claim that IN is the mediator in the controversy of Islam and local culture relation, moreover in the global scale it is going to be proselytized in the International, whereas the IN is still regarded as an issue and has not fulfilled the knowledge standard yet.  Through philosophical approach, socio-anthropolinguistics based on the data in www.nu.or.id and topic analysis as its data analysis, it is found that the intellectual of NU used eight approaches to concept the IN. The IN set that Islam influences Indonesian culture and the IN’s success and ability to dialogue with Indonesian culture trigger the intellectual NU to promote it to the International. Keywords:  Islam, Nusantara, culture, Indonesia, Value  AbstrakTujuan tulisan ini adalah mengkaji konsep Islam Nusantara ditinjau dari struktur teori relasi Islam dan budaya lokal serta alasannya dijadikan sebagai konsep dakwah Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamiin oleh intelektual NU. Ini berangkat dari “claim” intelektual NU bahwa konsep ini adalah penengah dalam perdebatan relasi Islam dan budaya lokal, bahkan dalam skala global ingin didakwahkan di dunia Internasional. Padahal Islam Nusantara baru sebatas wacana yang belum memenuhi standar keilmuan. Dengan pendekatan filosofis, sosio-antropolinguistik berbasis data situs nu.or.id, dan analisis wacana ditemukan, bahwa dalam konsep Islam Nusantara menggunakan delapan pendekatan, yang memposisikan Islam memengaruhi budaya Indonesia dan keberhasilannya dalam berdialog dengan budaya Indonesia. Kata kunci: Islam, nusantara, budaya, Indonesia, nilai.

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of this study was to test which one of the two methods (TPR and DM) were more effective to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery. The population of this study was all of the fifth graders of SD Islam Sultan Agung 4 Semarang in the academic year of 2015/2016. The instrument of the study was vocabulary test consisted of multiple choice items and matching items. Before treatment was given, pre-test was conducted to both groups. Meanwhile, post-test was conducted after the treatment had finished. The result showed that the mean of the experimental and control group in pre-test were 64.35 and 65.30, respectively. After being given the treatment, post-test was conducted in both groups. The t-test calculation showed that there was a significant difference. So, Total Physical Response method was more effective than Direct Method in learning English Vocabulary to the fifth graders of Elementary Students. Keywords: Total Physical Response, Direct method, and Vocabulary AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji mana dari dua metode (TPR dan DM) yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penguasaan kosa kata siswa.  Subjek penelitiannya adalah semua siswa kelas 5 SD Islam Sultan Agung 4 Semarang Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Instrumen penelitiannya berupa tes kosa kata yang terdiri dari pilihan ganda dan menjodohkan. Sebelum perlakuan diberikan, kedua grup diberikan pre-test. Sedangkan post-test diberikan setelah perlakuan selesai. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata grup eksperimen dan kontrol berturut-turut adalah 64.35 dan 65.30. Setelah diberikan perlakuan, kedua grup diberikan post-test. Nilai rata-rata untuk kedua grup berturut-turut adalah 78.65 dan 71.70. Perhitungan t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang mencolok. Jadi, metode Total Physical Response lebih efektif daripada Direct Method dalam pembelajaran kosa kata Bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas lima sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci:  Total Physical Response, Direct method, and Vocabulary

Abstract

AbstractAlong with the surge of “religious” studies, we apparently have to be selective in attending it, because nowadays many people who attending the Islamic study feel worry about  what is delivered by the religious teacher, which is considered as “ingkar sunnah”, that is, abandoning the prophet’s hadits, in the explanation of his speech. Similar to what Minardi Mursyid from Surakarta did about his lesson on hadits which has ruined up and spoiled the principles of Islamic aqidah. The investigation of the Fatwa Team of Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Surakarta on Minardi Mursyid’s lesson and the LPPA Tauhid activities found out that Minardi Mursyid’s lesson is similar to the ingkar sunnah sect which has been declared as deviant by MUI and their activities are prohibited by the government. Keywords: inkar as-sunnah, deviant sect, Minardi Mursyid’s lesson Abstrak Seiring dengan maraknya gelaran kajian-kajian “agama”, kiranya kita tetap harus selektif dalam mengikutinya, karena kini tidak sedikit para jamaah yang hadir dalam sebuah kajian tersebut sudah mulai merasa resah dengan apa yang disampaikan oleh beberapa narasumber yang disinyalir “Inkar Sunnah/ menafikan hadits Rasulullah Saw.” dalam paparan kajiannya. Seperti yang dilakukan oleh Minardi Mursyid dari Surakarta mengenai ajaranya tentang hadits yang telah merusak sendi-sendi aqidah Islam dan menodainya. Kajian tim fatwa MUI Surakarta terhadap ajaran Minardi Mursyid dan kegiatan LPPA Tauhid menyimpulkan, bahwa ajaran Minardi Mursyid serupa dengan aliran ingkar sunah yang telah difatwakan sesat oleh MUI dan dilarang kegiatannya oleh pemerintah. Kata Kunci: Inkar as-sunnah, aliran sesat, Ajaran Minardi Mursyid

Abstract

AbstractThis article is the result of the library research on the divining manual book, usually known as Kitab Primbon Atassadhur Adammakna written by Pangeran Tjakraningrat. Kitab Primbon commonly consists of mystical lessons, magical practices, and oracles or fortune-telling.  However, Kitab Primbon Atassadhur Adammakna precisely explains the Javanese philosophy which adopts the Islamic lessons, especially tasawuf.  The lessons of God, human, and universe are appropriately described with the Javanese tradition and culture.  Keeping the harmony of the relationship between human and universe is an obligation, since it also means keeping the harmony with the God, as the Creator of the universe.      Keywords     : God, Human, Universe, and Kitab Primbon  AbstrakTulisan ini merupakan hasil kajian pustaka (library research) terhadap Kitab Primbon Atassadhur Adammakna karya Pangeran Tjakraningrat. Abstract

AbstractOne of the phenomena experienced recently by the Islamic community is the incomprehension in the aqidah and other conviction problems, and the community incomprehension on the Islamic methods and practices. This phenomenon draws the researcher’s attention to conduct study on the role of ASWAJA NU CENTER Banyuwangi in fortifying Aqidah Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah. The result showed that ASWAJA NU CENTER could give the best service to the Muslim society in facilitating the comprehension of truthful aqidah correspond to the lesson of the Prophet SAW which is called Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah by giving motivation in constructing a more qualified and noble education, giving speeches in mushollas and mosques, and conducting trainings on Aswaja.Keywords: Aswaja NU Center, Aqidah, Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah  AbstrakSalah satu fenomena yang dialami umat Islam sekarang ini adalah ketidakpahaman dalam masalah aqidah dan masalah-masalah keyakinan lainnya, serta ketidakpahaman umat akan metodologi dan pengamalan Islam. Abstract

AbstractObvious learning quality standardization is necessary in order to raise the quality of the Institute, starting from lesson plan, learning process, until its evaluation. This article is going to investigate the comparison of learning quality standard between IAIN Surakarta and Kasem Bundit University. In the implementation, whether IAIN Surakarta and Kasem Bundit University have formulas related to the learning quality standard starting from lesson plan, learning process, until its evaluation. However, there is a big difference in the available documents. In IAIN Surakarta the documents are more administrative in purpose since it is in the form of procedure guidelines and have not completed yet. While the documents in Kasem Bundit University are more quality manual in purpose which formulate various learning quality standard of many components, indicators, and  its indicator descriptions. Keywords: Learning quality standard, plan, implementation, evaluation  AbstrakUntuk mengangkat mutu lembaga dibutuhkan standarisasi mutu yang jelas mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, sampai dengan evaluasi pembelajarannya. Artikel ini mengkaji perbandingan standar mutu pembelajaran di IAIN Surakarta dan Kasem Bundit University. Dalam pelaksanaannya baik di IAIN Surakarta maupun di Kasem Bundit University memiliki rumusan-rumusan terkait standarisasi mutu pembelajaran mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, maupun evaluasinya. Namun demikian terdapat perbedaan yang cukup besar, yaitu di IAIN Surakarta dokumen yang sudah tersedia lebih bersifat administratif karena berupa pedoman prosedur dan itupun belum lengkap. Sementara itu di Kasem Bundit University dokumen yang ada lebih bersifat manual mutu yang merumuskan berbagai standar mutu pembelajaran dalam berbagai komponen, indikator, dan deskripsi indikatornya.  Kata Kunci: standar mutu pembelajaran, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi

Abstract

This study attempts to reveal meaning of symbols embedded in lyrics of shalawat songs by utilizing semiotics perspective. So far, sholawat is considered as hymne to remind human to God but there is no research about meaning of javanese sholawat songs. This study employs qualitative method to describe the analysis. The analyzed data is based on literature review of the lyrics of sholawat songs. The obtained data is analyzed in semiotic perspective structurally. The result shows us that semiotics is able to reveal meaning of lyrics of javanese sholawat songs. In addition, the results elaborates that lyrics of javanese sholawat songs refer to values of humanity and message of life.

Abstract

Islamic thought in the Javanese philosophy of the concept of God begins with the existence of three continuities between (1) the background of Islamization in Indonesia, through cultural approaches, (2) philosophical phrases in the Javanese philosophy as a part of the characteristic Javanese literary works that are educational (didactic) and sublime (piwulang), and (3) the similarity between the concept of tri hita wacana means harmonious relationship of man with God (habluminallah) in Islamic teachings related to the concept of insan kamil. This study uses qualitative methods based on literature study data and descriptive analysis as a whole (integral). The results obtained from this study is the similarity of thinking between the philosophical expressions of Java in the Javanese philosophy with Islamic thought in the verses of the Quran as part of the teachings of Islam in understanding the three concepts of the nature of God that is (1) the concept of tan kena kinaya gapa means that God cannot be imagined circumstances and forms, but the absolute power, (2) the concept of Gusti Allah orah sare means God is not sleeping and always awake in every period; Understanding of the concept raises an attitude of being cautious in acting, acting, and fully aware of Gods supervision, and (3) the concept of sangkan paran which has an understanding that the beginning of the creation of man and the universe comes from God (sangkan) and the end of creation Man and the universe will return to God (paran).

Abstract

The study aims to determine the strengthening of the entrepreneurial and character education values in preparing graduates in a synergy with competency standard of Junior High School (SMP) students for the Undergraduate Students of the Islamic Education Department (PAI), Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training (FITK) of IAIN Surakarta 2016. The study used quantitative approach. It was conducted in the second-semester students of the PAI Department of FITK IAIN Surakarta 2016. The data was collected using questionnaires given to 159 respondents. The data was processed using the requirements and hypotheses test. The result of the study indicates that all questionnaires items declared valid and reliable.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penguatan nilai-nilai kewirausahaan dan pendidikan karakter terhadap penyiapan lulusan sinergi dengan standar kompetensi lulusan jenjang SMP bagi mahasiswa strata satu Jurusan Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan (FITK), IAIN Surakarta, Tahun 2016. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester genap Jurusan PAI, FITK IAIN Surakarta tahun 2016. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang diberikan kepada 159 responden. Data diolah dengan menggunakan uji persyaratan dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh item-item angket dinyatakan valid dan reliabel.
