Abstract

Recently, many anti-pancasila cases have appeared in the mass media, both in print and in electronic form. The place is not only the village community, but also the city people who actually have the character of a plural society, are aware of the differences and even have an individualistic attitude. In rural communities, it usually holds the values of togetherness, mutual love and upbringing and respect-respect and respects each other. In fact, a slight difference can lead to a case of intolerance. This study aims to determine how the views and attitudes of rural communities in West Aceh, an area that enforces Islamic law against the values of Pancasila. It also aims to find out how the loyalty of rural communities in West Aceh to the ideology of Pancasila. This research uses a qualitative method. The informant is determined by purposive sampling, that is selecting the community as an informant according to the expertise, and the mentioned expertise is meant to understand the problem that becomes the subject of this study. The results show that Pancasila is only known by the older generation and this generation understands that the values of Pancasila run as a tolerance setting, so that citizens do not discriminate against the existence of people outside of Aceh, let alone outside the region. This generation also understands that the implementation of Islamic law is a loyalty to the ideology of Pancasila because the first principle is expressed as faith in the Mahaesa. So there is no contradiction between the Islamic Shari'a and Pancasila. Unfortunately, the younger generation does not understand how Pancasila is. This generation has never received socialization about Pancasila and only knows about the flag ceremony, which often reads the Pancasila text. The researcher's interpretation is that after the 1998 Reformation, the community did not experience the socialization of Pancasila values. Unfortunately, some understand that Pancasila and the Islamic Sharia'ah are contradictory. In this narrow sense, it can threaten the existence of Pancasila. But by and large, the contradiction is limited because of the religious differences that can still be harmonized values of unity.

Abstract

Indonesia is a unitary country whose people evolve and live in different tribes, races, religions, cultures and languages. This condition occurs as there is one principle known as Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. This principle, hoever, seems to confront or experience “turbulance” along with teh encreases of regional sentiments and majority and minority disparities. Fot instance, the emergance of intolerant groups has threatened the unity of nation. This problem that should be solved sice the proclamation of Indonesian independence in 1945 emerged due to the fact that the goverment has not touched the local wisdom of the community on how to maintain unity. Therefore, this papes aims at presenting the results or research (a case) with qualitiative methods. The data collection is carried out through field observation and indepth interview (unstructure interview). The results of this study indicate that the “pandhalungan community” in Sumberpakem Village Jember District has a strong social integrity about how to maintain unity. They have a cultural grip called a sangkolan, which is a concept of the ancetral heritage of the community on how to respect and appreciate people of difference religions. Morover, there is also the concept of “ taretan dhibik”, which is a glue or tie among residens. Although they have different religions, they consider others as “taretan dhibik” or they brothers. They also say “ataretan saterrosah” (forever brothers)

The writing of this article aims to explain the shift in the meaning of worship rituals that should be enjoyed but shift to prioritizing busyness looking for a good perspective as a background for taking pictures or recording videos with no regard for the special worship and safety of other worshipers. This study was conducted qualitatively, data obtained through observation and interviews, the results of this study found that social piety is better able to eliminate the use of technological tools in worship than ritual piety which tends to explore technological equipment.

Abstract

This study discusses the practice of social exchange at joint prayer activities at the 'X' Orphanage in Sidoarjo. The joint prayer activities at the 'X' Sidoarjo Orphanage were routinely carried out by two main donors who at the same time became one of the main informants of this study. The purpose of this study is to know how to practice social exchange using the social exchange theory of George C. Homans. There are five propositions presented by Homans in his exchange theory which are the main discussion in this study. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with the subject of research as many as three main informants consisting of orphanage owners and two main donors to the orphanage. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that social exchanges that occur between orphanages and donors in prayer activities together wrap exchanges that are actually economic. Where, both donors carry out joint prayers as a manifestation of the implementation of CSR programs and the obligation to pay zakat. This then has the effect of peace of mind for the two donors over the fall of economic and religious obligations inherent in both.
