Abstract

The objective of this research was to know effect of citric acid, aluminum, and their itsinteraction on the seedling growth of hibrida maize (Zea mays L.) Var. Bisi-18. Theexperiment was conducted during January 2016 in Plant Physiology Laboratory,Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, University ofLampung. The experiment was implemented in 2x3 factorial experiments. Factor A wasAluminum with 2 levels: 0 mM, 5 mM. Factor B was Citric Acid with 3 levels: 0 mM, 5 mM,and 10 mM. After selected corn seeds were soaked in citric acid solution for 24 hours, andgerminated in plastic tray. After 7 days seedlings were planted in plastic containers thatcontain aluminum solution. Variables in this research were shoot length, seedling freshweight, shoot root ratio, and relative water content after 7 days of growing period. Analysisof variance was conducted at 5% significant level. If interactions between aluminum andcitric acid was not significant, main effect was determined at 5% significant level with LSDtest. If interactions between aluminum and citric acid was significant, simple effect wasdetermined at 5% significant level with F test. The result showed that no aluminum effectobserved on all variables, and citric acid affected negativly all variables. No interctionsbetween aluminum and citric acid on all seedling growth variables of maize hibrida Var.Bisi-18. It is concluded aluminum 5mM was not able to cause stress in maize seedling. Inno stress condition citric acid has negative effect on maize seedling growth.Keyword: Citric acid, Aluminium, Maize Seedling, Shoot Length, Seedling Fresh Weight.

Abstract

Labor force dynamics will always change by job opportunity in agriculture sector and out side agriculture sector which change every time. The goal is this research is to show labor dynamics in micro in farming based of irrigation field. From the research which is comparing labor force in 2007 with 2010 showed performance of labor force participation in 2010 was higher than 2007. Such also with labor force education level in 2007 and 2010 same which is dominated by lower than 6 years education, but in 2010, the amount of labor force was increasing become upper than 10 years education. The development of labor force by source of livelihood in agriculture sector is 70 percent until 80 percent in 2007 becoming 50 percent until 60 percent. So that needs to develop job opportunity which have an industrial in agribusiness system to decrease the burden of labor force in agriculture sectors as job opportunity in villages Keywords: Dynamics of labor force in agriculture irrigation field

Abstract

Rice is the staple food of Indonesia's population. Widespread food shortages in a country will lead to economic insecurity, social and political. Assemble new type of rice varieties for high yield, biotic and abiotic stress resistance, with good quality rice is a solution to cope with food shortages. Polinela been assembling some new strains of rice germplasm by using superior character in quantity and quality. Research purposes (1) Knowing what superior character possessed by a new strain of rice Polinela assemblies, (2) Knowing where the strain that has a high yield potential. The study was conducted in Polinela April to August 2012. Research conducted with Randomize Completly Block Design (RCBD). Treatment consisted of 10 new strains of rice assemblies Polinela 4th generation (F4), repeated three times. To know the differences between the treatment then continued with Least Significant Different (LSD) on stage 5%. The variables measured were: maximum plant height, maximum number of shoots, number of productive shoots, number of grains per panicle, number of filled grains per panicle, panicle length, grain 1000 grain weight, grain yield per clump, and grain yield per hectare. Organoleptic tests carried out on the aroma and texture of rice or rice flavor. Results showed (1) All new rice strains quantitatively Polinela assemblies have a high yield potential, which is between 7.4 tonnes /ha until 10:34 tonnes /ha, (2) Strain B3, D2, D3, F2, and F3 have high yield potential between 8.4 tons / ha to 10.3 t / ha, as well as having quality taste fluffier rice with a slightly fragrant aroma (rather sweet) until fragrant (fragrant). Abstract

Isolates of Lactic Acid Bacteria isolates assembled into a mixture of LAB as probiotics . LAB probiotic drops introduced through the mouth with the aim of suppressing pathogens and is expected to improve the health status of rooster type of medium . Isolates in the digestive tract will undergo adaptation by temperature , acidity and pH changes in the gut . The health status of the chicken can be expressed as growth to form the body weight , and the growth of LAB . In addition , AI and ND vaccination in healthy chickens conditions will produce antibodies to both . The success of vaccination can be evaluated from the results of the formation of chicken blood serum titre of research . Analysis of descriptive data on the dynamics of the growth of LAB , the formation of antibody titer and body weight gain 24-31 day old chickens . Based on the results of this study revealed that isolates of LAB can be used simultaneously in bercoccidiostat feed . LAB isolates may develop in the digestive tract rooster medium type as probiotics. The dynamics of the growth of a population produces a mixture of isolates of LAB isolates (mixture of B1, B3, B4, B5 as probiotics) in the highest reaches of the ilium and jejunum 14.00 x 10-6 13.5 x 10-6 CFU/ml. Test isolates viability of probiotic candidates in all isolates produced distilled water medium can live up to 72 hours of incubation . In addition, there is a synergy results in the formation of antibody titers ND uniform T3 treatment. T3 treatment is given probiotics 2x chicken every week for 3 weeks . In AI vaccination resulted in antibody titers are not uniform. Body weight gain reached the age of 24-31 days in a row 75.83 g, 76.54 g, 81.58 g, 87.04 g. Weight age of 31 days the average value obtained successively from the highest 329.16 g, 328.54 g, 325.54 g and 324.08 g lowest .
