Abstract

Academic burnout is the condition in which an individual feels physically, mentally, and emotionally tired due to work done over a long period time. Final year nursing student of Faculty of Nursing are at risk of experiencing academic burnout due to the many routines and tasks performed during the course. One factor that can affect academic burnout is the spiritual level. Method: The method in this study uses a descriptive design of correlation with the total sample of 142 respondents taken based on the inclusion criteria with total sampling techniques. The measurement tool used is the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey questionnaire which has passed the validity test with a count r value starting from 0.332-0.724 and Cronbach's alpha value of 0.895 and the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale which has passed validity tests with a table r value of 0.514 and r count of 0.804-0.874. The majority of respondents are aged 22 (55.6%), the majority are female (89.4%), and they are moslem (88.7%). A high spiritual level with a total of 59.2%. Academic burnout was 74.6 percent. The results of the statistical test chi-square obtained p-value = 0.536 (p>0.05). Conclusion: There was no link between the spiritual level and academic burnout in the final students of the University of Riau Faculty of Nursing.

Abstract

Background: Early adolescence is the gateway to psychosocial problems. Adolescence is a transitional period of change both physically and psychologically. Psychosocial problems that occur in adolescents can cause low self-esteem, impaired self-image, and depression. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and psychosocial problems in early adolescents at the Pekanbaru City Islamic Boarding School. Methods: This study used a correlation descriptive design and a cross sectional approach. The instruments used in this study were the Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS), and the Pediatric Symptom Checklist-Youth Report (PSC-Y35). The research sample consisted of 194 respondents who were taken based on inclusion criteria using a simple random sampling technique. The analysis used was bivariate analysis using the chi square test and simple logistic regression analysis. Result: There are 19.1% of adolescents who have high category social support, as many as 27% of adolescents experience psychosocial problems. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a significant relationship between social support and psychosocial problems in early adolescents at Islamic boarding schools with a p value (0.007) <alpha (0.05). Conclusion: Social support has a significant relationship with psychosocial problems in adolescents in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Lansia dikatakan sebagai tahap akhir dari kehidupan manusia. Setiap manusia tidak akan lepas dari kehidupan sosial untuk berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Interaksi sosial memiliki pola yang terdiri dari; pola kerjasama, persaingan, pertentangan dan persesuaian. Pola tersebut terbentuk berdasarkan bagaimana sikap individu beriteraksi dengan orang lain Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah 174 responden diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara terstruktur berdasarkan kuesioner pola interaksi sosial yang dimodifikasi kemudian dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat. Hasil: Hasil analisis univariat mayoritas usia responden penelitian berada pada usia elderly 60-74 tahun (93,1%), berjenis kelamin perempuan (58,6%), berada pada tingkat pendidikan dasar (51,1%) bekerja sebagai IRT (42,5%). Responden memiliki pola kerjasama (27%) persaingan (25%), pola pertentangan (27%), pola persesuaian (21%), Kesimpulan: Lansia di daerah lahan basah memiliki pola interaksi sosial berupa pola kerjasama, pola persaingan, pola pertentangan dan pola persesuaian.
