Abstract

Tolerance has become very important amid the decline in the spirit of nationalism among students lately. Previous studies show that the influence of radical understanding that leads to acts of terrorism has entered the campus area, even the alumni from one of the tertiary institutions in Indonesia are involved in terrorism cases. But not all of the students in tertiary institutions have this attitude. Students at the Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, as the best private tertiary institution in Kopertis Region 8, are able to establish tolerance well. This paper aims to identify and analyze the quality of tolerance education among the students of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional. Therefore, phenomenological approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation are applied to accomplish the purpose of this study. The quality of tolerance education in this study is seen from five dimensions. First, the quality of students? understanding of tolerance education based on their religion. Second, the quality of empathy among students. Third, the quality of tolerance education among students in the learning process. Fourth, the quality of tolerance education among students in organizational activities. Fifth, the quality of tolerance education among students in religious and cultural activities. Based on the observations and interviews, the quality of tolerance education among the students of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional can be stated as good.

Abstract

The urgency of this research is based on the phenomenon of foreign investment which is currently criticized by development theorists and practitioners, in which efforts for a take-off needs capitalization in the form of savings. This is primarily intended to create investment and accelerate economic growth as well. This research aims at revealing influences of United States dollar exchange rate, regional autonomy, and foreign investment of the previous year to foreign investment in Bali simultaneously and partially. This research uses the time series data of the period of 1993 – 2017 by applying dynamic econometrics analysis model of partial adjustment model. This study concludes that US dollar exchange rate, regional autonomy, and previous year’s foreign investment have simultaneously influenced foreign investment. US dollar exchange rate does not significantly influence foreign investment, while regional autonomy and previous year’s foreign investment have positively and significantly influenced the foreign investment. Regional government, therefore, should take real policies on solving the problems of foreign investment. In formulating the policy for the upcoming years, it is important to take exchange rate, regional autonomy, and previous year’s foreign investment into account as real indicators influencing foreign investment in Bali. The foreign investment increase should be achieved in order to be absorbed in all sectors for accelerating economic and development growth in Bali. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of brand destination based on Tri Hita Karana to word of mouth and intention to revisit Nusa Penida tourist destination. The research used descriptive and quantitative analysis with a total sample size of 100 tourists, both domestic and foreign who had visited Nusa Penida. The results of the study stated that brand destination based on Tri Hita Karana had a positive and significant effect on word of mouth and and intention to revisit Nusa Penida tourist destination. It is recommended that tourism development in Nusa Penida be carried out by collaborating traditional values, social, cultural, and local wisdom of the community while maintaining harmonization of God, human and environmental relations as the Tri Hita Karana philosophy

Abstract

Honey is a unique product of insects, and is beneficial for health. MSME Honey YBS is a micro business that sells supply honey products from honey seekers at the foot of Mount Agung (Selat District, Karangasem Regency, Bali). Honey products sold by MSME Honey YBS have been marketed to several restaurants, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the temporary suspension of tourism activities, the demand for honey products has decreased drastically. MSME Madu YBS has limited promotional costs, and has not utilized online media which is currently widely used. Therefore, this community service aims to provide a website for YBS Honey SMEs. The website will be a medium for disseminating information about the business units and products of YBS Honey SMEs, and is equipped with a contact menu for the owner. Aside from being a promotional medium, this website will also help consumers who want to buy products, as well as other parties who plan to partner with MSME Madu YBS (product distributor). Through this community service activity, an understanding of the use of technology will be given to support MSME business activities.

Abstract

During this time, the government and the community in implementing development, explicitly only prioritize economic capital and human capital in an individual perspective only. Not many people have highlighted the role of social capital, which is a necessity, in maintaining the results of development that have been carried out. Mainly, Balinese social capital which is hierarchically shaped through values that are invested from an early age, will grow into an accumulation of social capital which will later contribute positively in maintaining a conducive atmosphere in developing human resources for the Balinese people.

Abstract

BUMDes is a vehicle for running businesses in the village, the problem that occurs in BUMDes in Kukuh Winangun Village is that the lack of member loyalty is caused by other choices that they think are better than BUMDes. The formulation of the problem and the purpose of this research is to determine the effect of organizational culture and organizational commitment on member loyalty. This research was conducted at BUMDes, Kukuh Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency. The population in this study was the total number of BUMDes members in Kukuh Winangun Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency, which amounted to 1,166 members consisting of 8 official banjars, 12 traditional villages, then a sample of 93 respondents was determined. The data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis test, determination, partial (t) and simultaneous (f) significant test. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that partially organizational culture (X1) has a positive and significant effect on member loyalty (Y). Partial organizational commitment (X2) has a positive and significant effect on member loyalty (Y). There is a simultaneous influence of organizational culture and organizational commitment variables on member loyalty. Suggestions that can be given to BUMDes in Kukuh Winangun Village are to improve and strengthen communication patterns between village institutions by holding regular monthly or quarterly meetings to discuss the development of BUMDes so that the development of BUMDes can be known by all parties in Kukuh Winangun Village.
