Abstract

Dakwah tidak dapat ditinggalkan dari keberadaan masjid sebagai pusat ibadah dan pengembangan keilmuan. Transformasi pemanfaatan media digital telah merambah ke berbagai kebutuhan komunikasi, termasuk didalamnya strategi dalam berdakwah secara virtual dengan memanfaatkan media social. Dakwah tidak lagi dilakukan oleh kelompok-kelompok yang dianggap mumpuni dalam pemahaman agama namun setiap individu dapat melakukan dakwah virtual ini. Dalam kerangka memakmurkan masjid, Remaja Masjid Mubasysyirin (REISMI) Setiabudi Jakarta Selatan mulai memanfaatkan media social untuk menyebarkan nilai-nilai positif keagamaan namun belum diiringi dengan kesadaran pentingnya konsep dan strategi yang kuat dalam pesan-pesan persuasif dakwah virtual sehingga mereka sangat membutuhkan penguatan-penguatan. Metode dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan memperkuat konsep dakwah virtual, branding remaja masjid, dan pelatihan audio visual untuk membuat konten kreatif media social yang menarik perhatian kaum muda milenial. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan adanya kesadaran social REISMI untuk merancang strategi dakwah virtual melalui konten kreatif media social dan meningkatnya kreatifitas dalam menentukan ide dalam rangka menebarkan nilai-nilai agama bagi remaja.

Abstract

This research is the result of a tracer study survey of 2022 graduates of the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA. The results showed that 39% participated in filling out the tracer study, meaning that it did not reach the target set by 50%. Then, on the side where large graduates are large, there are 64% working in private companies, and the suitability of the field of science with work shows 58% (medium), 38% (high), and 4% (low). This marks most of the relevance between the field of science and the world of work. However, in terms of other aspects, 70% of practicums during college support jobs for 2022 graduates, and 21% (low)/does not support graduate employment. These tracer study output aspects can be a comprehensive evaluation; maximizing practicum, curriculum, and lecture aspects. Keywords: Alumni, Tracer Study, Communication Science, Working World

Abstract

This qualitative study explores the resilience of Cipaku's displaced communities through narrative communication, shedding light on the unique sociolinguistic dynamics of development-induced displacement. Anchored in the Communication Theory of Resilience (CTR), it delves into how displaced individuals employ communicative processes. The study focused on interviews with 12 individuals selected using snowball sampling technique from Cipaku Village who have lived through displacement more than 10 years due to forced migration, and supported with field observation to gain documentation in capturing their memories and subsequent positive adaptations. Data was analyzed using the NVivo 12 Plus software, which facilitated the organization, coding, and thematic analysis relevant to the study's objectives. The findings of this research delves into how displaced individuals employ communicative processes; crafting normalcy, affirming identity, maintaining networks, employing alternative logics, and foregrounding positive actions to navigate the upheavals of displacement. It highlights how displaced populations actively reconstruct their social realities, preserve cultural identities, and sustain community cohesion through narrative communication. This study also points to gaps in understanding the erosion of linguistic diversity within displaced communities and recommends further exploration of digital communication's role in sustaining displaced communities' communicative networks.

Abstract

Film merupakan salah satu media yang dapat menyampaikan berbagai informasi dan pesan di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk perjuangan seorang Ibu yang terdapat pada film ‘Air Mata di Ujung Sajadah’ yang menjadi film box office. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori perjuangan oleh Joyomartono yang mencakup sebanyak enam poin nilai-nilai perjuangan; nilai rela berkorban, persatuan, menghargai, sabar, semangat pantang menyerah dan kerja sama dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif serta metode penelitian analisis isi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa indikator nilai perjuangan yang dominan pada film ini yaitu nilai persatuan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe movie Sleep Call tells the story of Dina (Laura Basuki) as the main character in the movie. Dina does not have someone who can be relied upon in dealing with her various problems. This study aims to describe the resilience of individuals contained in the movie Sleep Call. The type of research used is a descriptive qualitative approach with observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the theory of resilience by Reivich Shatte which includes 5 aspects of resilience, namely; emotion regulation, impulse control, problem cause analysis, and self-efficacy. The results of this study found 10 scenes of resilience aspects, respectively 1 scene of emotion regulation aspects, 3 scenes of impulse control aspects, 2 scenes of problem cause analysis aspects, 2 scenes of empathy aspects, and 2 scenes of self-efficacy aspects.Keywords :  Individual Resilience, Sleep Call Movie, Content Analysis ABSTRAKFilm Sleep Call mengisahkan Dina (Laura Basuki) sebagai pemeran utama dalam film tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori resiliensi oleh Reivich Shatte yang mencakup 5 aspek resiliensi yaitu; regulasi emosi, pengendalian impuls analisis penyebab masalah, dan efikasi diri. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji makna kehilangan seorang ayah dalam film pendek "Tenang" yang disutradarai oleh Yandy Laurens dan diproduksi oleh Yura Yunita. Menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis semiotika model Roland Barthes, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami representasi kehilangan dan proses berduka yang ditampilkan dalam film. Analisis fokus pada penggunaan simbol, metafora visual, serta integrasi lirik lagu yang berperan dalam menggambarkan emosi dan pengalaman tokoh utama, Gus, dalam menghadapi kehilangan ayahnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa "Tenang" secara efektif menggunakan elemen audiovisual untuk mengekspresikan tema kehilangan dan berduka. Ketidakmampuan Gus untuk mendengar suara ayahnya dalam mimpi menyoroti kekosongan emosional dan kehilangan kenangan, sementara usahanya untuk memulihkan rekaman video simbolis terhadap perjuangan dalam mempertahankan kenangan yang ada. Film ini berhasil menyampaikan pesan bahwa kenangan, sekecil apa pun, dapat memberikan kenyamanan dan pemahaman dalam proses berduka. Penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa film dan bentuk seni lainnya dapat berperan penting dalam membantu individu mengelola dan memproses kehilangan. Para pembuat film diingatkan untuk melanjutkan eksplorasi tema kehilangan menggunakan media seni, memberikan wawasan yang tidak hanya berharga bagi individu yang mengalami kehilangan tetapi juga bagi profesional di bidang psikologi dan kesehatan mental dalam menggunakan film sebagai alat terapeutik. Kesimpulan ini menegaskan peran penting seni dalam terapi dan pendukung sosial, menawarkan cara baru bagi individu untuk menghadapi dan berbagi pengalaman kehilangan yang mendalam.

Abstract

Communication has a very important role in human life, one of which is interpersonal communication. For final year students, interpersonal communication with the supervisor becomes important as an interactive process of exchanging the meaning of messages in order to produce an explanation for the research that is being carried out by students. In line with the purpose of this research, it is to find out whether the communication competence possessed by students during college supports the process of working on the thesis properly and completely. In order to know the purpose of the study, the researcher used qualitative research methods in order to be able to construct the subject's statement so that the arguments from the results of this study were relevant to the competence of final year students in the process of completing the final project. After conducting in-depth observations and interviews based on the background of the problem and theory in this study, the researcher constructed the answers from the informants regarding the motivation, skills, and knowledge possessed by students during college and the contribution of these three things in the process of completing the final project. The results of the research based on the theory of communication competence explain that oneself is the main impetus in working on the thesis and other encouragement such as parents, spouse, and friends who accompany it. With the encouragement factor, it can be concluded that in the process of completing the final project, University Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka final year students have good communication competence. Thus, this study confirms that communication competence is an important thing for final year students in the process of working on and completing the final project.

Abstract

Social media is used by various organizations, including private universities, for various promotional activities. Muhammadiyah University Prof. Dr. HAMKA (UHAMKA) as one of the largest universities in Jakarta Indonesia uses social media to share various kinds of information. This paper analyzes the use of Instagram in promoting private universities. This study uses a qualitative approach, supplemented by content analysis based on big data, accompanied by in- depth interviews with members of the UHAMKA Bureau of Promotion and New Student Admissions who are responsible for managing promotional content on the @uhamkatv Instagram account. The findings reveal that there are several factors that have a significant influence on the performance of Instagram content, namely (1) post type: according to Virol’s application analysis, images tend to perform better than videos in terms of engagement and reach. ; (2) format: albums tend to perform better than other formats, such as stories or reels; (3) the theme has a significant impact on engagement; (4) emotion: content that makes people feel happy, inspired, or entertained is usually better than other types of content; and (5) consistency: consistent posting frequency and timing are critical to maintaining audience interest and expanding its reach.

Abstract

The movie Galaksi is a movie adapted from Poppi Pertiwi's novel is a movie that tells about life and romance in high school. In the movie, there are many scenes of violence and this research aims to describe the forms of violence contained in the movie "Galaksi" which is popular on Netflix. This study uses the theory of violence by Weiner, Zahn and Sagi with a qualitative approach and the research method used is qualitative content analysis. The results showed that in this movie the dominant indicator of violence is physical violence in the form of beatings, beatings. Then there is also psychological violence and sexual violence. This research is expected to be a reference material for further researchers in analyzing forms of violence in films. Keywords: Violence, Content Analysis, Galaksi Movie.
