Abstract

This study aimed to develop and assess the feasibility and effectiveness of teaching materials, specifically Reading Box-assisted materials, for short story texts in class XI SMA. The population comprised 194 students, with a sample of 48. The research utilized a research and development approach and the ADDIE development model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and assessment stages. The study yielded student books for learning and teaching, validated by design and material experts, Indonesian language teachers, and student responses. Validation results indicated an overall percentage of 86%, categorized as "Very Eligible." The effectiveness, assessed through student learning completeness, achieved an overall percentage of 85%. Consequently, the developed teaching materials prove both feasible and effective for implementing Indonesian language learning in class XI SMA, specifically focusing on short story texts.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Describe the development of interactive multimedia for teaching folklore (saga) writing based on literacy for Class X students at SMA Al-Hidayah Medan. (2) Assess the feasibility of the developed interactive multimedia for teaching folklore (saga) writing based on literacy for Class X students at SMA Al-Hidayah Medan. (3) Evaluate the effectiveness of the interactive multimedia product for teaching folklore (saga) writing based on literacy for Class X students at SMA Al-Hidayah Medan. The research follows the DDD-E model (Decide, Design, Develop, and Evaluate). The participants include content experts, media design experts, graphic design experts, Indonesian language teachers, and Class X students at SMA Al-Hidayah Medan. Validation results from content experts indicate very good criteria for content feasibility (81.2%), presentation feasibility (90%), language usage (83.3%), and graphic design (87.5%). The overall assessment places the interactive multimedia for teaching folklore (saga) writing based on literacy in the "very good" category. Design expert validation results also show very good criteria for guidance and information (87.5%), operational software (87.5%), and systematics, aesthetics, and media principles (81.1%).

Abstract

This study aimed to depict the development, validation, and feasibility of employing Scrapbook learning media for biographical text material in class X SIVIA at SMA Istiqlal, Deli Tua. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) approach following the Borg and Gall model, including needs analysis, media development planning, validation, design improvement, product testing, and product revision, involving 150 students. Purposive sampling was employed, with 26 students selected. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected. The outcome is a Scrapbook-based teaching material. Material expert validation I resulted in a "Good" categorization at 79%, while Material expert validation II reached 82%, indicating a "Good" rating. Design expert I yielded an 80% rating, also "Good," while Design expert II achieved a "Very Good" score at 86%. Teacher responses rated at 82% were deemed "Good," and student responses, totaling 87%, were "Very Good." Trial results from 26 students demonstrated improved learning outcomes using Scrapbook teaching materials.

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance short story writing skills among class XI students at SMK Musda Perbaungan. The population comprised 481 students, with a sample size of 32 students from class XI TKJ 1. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Research followed the Borg and Gall's 10-stage research and development (R&D) model. Results indicated that note-taking assisted learning media could improve short story writing skills. Material experts rated the media as "Decent" (84% for expert 1, 78% for expert 2), while media experts rated it as "Very Decent" (91% for expert 1, 90% for expert 2). A field test with 32 students showed the effectiveness of learning media, particularly Google Keep, with an "Effective" rating of 80.09% for short story writing evaluation. This underscores the potential of note-taking assisted learning media in enhancing writing skills, suggesting its viability as an effective tool in classroom instruction for narrative composition.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development process and feasibility of Wordwall learning media in short story texts for XI grade students at MAS Project Univa Medan. The population comprised students from XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, XI IIS, and XI IIA, totaling 100 students, with a sample of 31 students from class XI IIS. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires to explore learning website-based short story material on Wordwall media. Following the Research and Development (R&D) model by Borg and Gall, the study progressed through stages including information gathering, product development, validation test, product revision, and product trial. Results show that Wordwall learning media for short story texts in XI MAS Project Univa Medan are highly feasible. Material experts rated it "Decent" (80%) and "Very Decent" (86%), while media experts rated it "Very Decent" (94%) and (93%), and teachers rated it "Very Decent" (91%). Field implementation tests with 31 students yielded a "Very Feasible" rating (90%). Evaluation tests indicated Wordwall's effectiveness in short story texts, with a "Very Effective" rating (90%).

Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of Render Forest interactive media on negotiation text material for class X at Vocational School Musda Perbaungan. The study involved 32 students as samples and utilized assessments from material and design expert validators. The results showed that the development was categorized as "Feasible." Material expert I rated it 84% ("Decent"), and material expert II rated it 81.33% ("Decent"). Media expert I rated it 94% ("Very Appropriate"), and media expert II rated it 80% ("Decent"). The Indonesian language teacher's assessment was 89.09% ("Very Decent"). The findings suggest that using Render Forest-assisted teaching materials significantly enhances the learning process. Overall, the study concludes that the interactive media is highly effective and suitable for classroom use, providing a valuable resource for improving student engagement and understanding of negotiation texts.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and assess the feasibility of an e-book on exposition text material enhanced by the Canva application using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model for class X students at MA Tahfizh Al-Habibi. Employing the 4D development model by Thiagarajan (1974), which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate phases, the research involved a population of 60 students with a sample of 20 students from class X-3. Data collection methods included questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The findings indicated that the e-book is highly feasible, with material experts rating its validity at 85.6% and 88.8%, respectively, and design experts at 93%. Trials conducted with teachers and students yielded an overall average score of 87% from the Indonesian language teacher and 96% from students, both categorized as "highly feasible." These results suggest that the e-book on exposition text material assisted by the Canva application using the PBL model is valid and suitable for educational use.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the process of development, validation, feasibility, and effectiveness of using Android-based teaching materials with smart apps creators in explanatory texts for class XI SMK. This study was conducted in SMKS PAB 2 Helvetia. The research method is Research and Development (RD) with ADDIE model including: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation with a population as 238 students. This study used a purposive sampling technique with a total of 36 students. The types of data in this study include qualitative and quantitative data. The result of this study is an android-based teaching material product. According to the results of validation from material experts I can be categorized as "Satisfactory" and feasible to be tested (77%). The results of material expert validation II can be categorized as "Very Satisfactory" and feasible to be tested (85%). Meanwhile, the results of media experts I can be categorized as "Very Satisfactory" and feasible to be tested (90%). The results of media experts II can be categorized as "Very Satisfactory" and feasible to be tested (91%). According to the results of the teacher's response, 94% was categorized as "Very Satisfactory" with decent qualifications. While the results of student responses from 36 students get a percentage that has been converted with the qualification "Very Satisfactory" as 92% and it was said to be effectively used. Then it can be concluded that the android-based teaching materials developed are effective and suitable to be used in learning in the classroom.
