Abstract

The manufacturing industry has a system for applying machinery, labor, equipment and raw materials to be transformed into a product that has a sale value. Production machinery and equipment are the main resources that cannot be separated from the overall resource system owned by the company. At PT. Sumber Wovens Utama production machines are used nonstop and cause a decrease in performance of these machines which include frequent breakdowns, loss of ideal speed, and poor quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the overall value of the effectiveness of the production machinery at this time, to find the root cause of the overall equipment effectiveness value is not as expected, and to provide an improvement to the cause of the low value of the overall equipment effectiveness of the non-wovens fabric production machine. The method used in this research is the Overall Equipment Effectiveness Method to calculate the level of effectiveness and productivity of production machines, Fishbone Diagrams to solve problems in projects and Analysis of 5 why to provide improvements to the level of productivity of these machines. The results showed that the average overall equipment effectiveness value for the period November 2018 - April 2019 was 83.2%, this value was still below the world class standard of 85%. Therefore, it is given an improvement over the overall equipment effectiveness value not being achieved by making regular maintenance schedules for production machines, making standard product changeover procedures, making standard parameters for each type of product and updating it every 1 month, etc. so that it gets good results, namely increases the overall equipment effectiveness value of the production machine to be 88.30%.Keywords: Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Fishbone Diagram, 5 why analys, Mesin Produksi, Kain Non-wovens, Production Machine, Non-wovens Fabric

Abstract

PT. GMF Aeroasia, Tbk is a company engaged in aircraft maintenance services. The aircraft maintenance lead time is regulated according to the agreement set forth in the agreement in the form of a work order, when the maintenance process takes place there is almost always a delay when working on the aircraft, both in terms of physical work or delivery of documents. These problems are several forms of waste, where waste is any activity that does not provide added value. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the type of waste and determine the factors that cause waste in the delivery process of aircraft c-check maintenance documents. The method used in this study used a fishbone chart, cause failure mode effect, failure mode and effects analysis and problem identification and corrective action. Fishbone chart and cause failure mode effect are used to find waste that causes delay in document delivery, then analyzed using failure mode and effects analysis, three causes of the highest delay were found, namely stamps on incomplete documents (RPN 16), waiting for customer approval (RPN 16) and material certificates not available (RPN 12). Corrective Action was prepared as a recommendation to improve the delivery process for aircraft c-check maintenance documents. By knowing the types of waste and the factors causing waste in the delivery process of aircraft c-check maintenance documents at PT. Abstract

In the fabrication process always maintain and improve the quality and capacity of the company, but in the fabrication process there are several obstacles that affect product delivery to the project. Because the achievement of the productivity of the company PT Prakarsa Langgeng Maju Bersama is less than optimal because there is still a lot of waste (waste) in the fabrication process. The waste contained in the fabrication process is motion waste, inventory waste, defect waste. Based on the data obtained, there are 245 hours of excess work. For this reason, waste is carried out using a Lean Manufacturing approach, namely the WRM Waste Relationship Matrix and WAQ Waste Assessment Questionnaire by 5W + 1H which is used to support waste and also to find out the relationship between the seven wastes so that existing waste can be eliminated. the highest was Motion at 25.4%, followed by Inventory at 18.4%. and Disability by 15.1%. Proposed improvements related to productivity, need SOPs in machine setup, standardize all processes and inventory management, provide control training to the workers concerned, improve coordination between departments, make tools to standardize all processes and Poka yoke, increase work motivation, improved supervision and implementation of Poka Yoke.Keywords: Lean Manufacturing, Waste Relationship Matrix, Waste Assesment Quesioner, Fishbone Diagram, Poka Yoke

Abstract

PT. Panarub Industry is a company that produces shoes with the world famous brand, ADIDAS. This study aims to identify internal and eksternal environmental factors that affect the company's business and formulate a type of strategy that is appropriate and can be applied by PT. Panarub Industry in facing business competition. Therefore, companies must determine new strategies to be able to compete in the market. Data collection techniques used were observation, and documentation. To determine new strategies there are several analytical methods that can be used including the IFAS Matrix, EFAS Matrix, SWOT Matrix, and data from the three matrices are analyzed with Cartesian Diagram SWOT Analysis to determine the best and most suitable strategy to be implemented at PT Panarub Industry. Based on the results of the analysis using the IFAS matrix, EFAS, SWOT matrix and Cartesian Diagram SWOT Analysis, the strategy obtained is the strategy that is in quadrant I which means that the strategy used is the Strengths – Opportunities strategy which is also referred to as an aggressive strategy where the position it is a very favorable situation. PT. Panarub Industry has strengths and opportunities so that they can take advantage of existing opportunities. The implementation is maintaining the quality of shoes products, utilizing online marketing to market products by placing advertisements in online shopping applications, social media, and creating corporate websites, and increasing products that are more innovative and varied in order to compete with other shoes companies.Keywords: Strategy, IFAS Matrix, EFAS Matrix, SWOT Matrix, Cartesian Diagram SWOT Analysis

Abstract

PT. Mayora Indah Tbk merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam sector indusutri makanan dan minuman. Dalam menjalankan kegiatan produksinya, perusahaan selalu berupaya untuk menghasilkan produk yang baik dan menekan terjadinya reject. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya reject hasil biskuit roma sandwich dan bagaimana pengendalian kualitas produk biskuit roma sandwich di PT. Mayora Indah Jatake 2 dengan menggunakan metode statistik. Analasis pengendalian kualitas dilakukan menggunakan metode statistik berupa check sheet, histogram, peta kendali, diagram sebab-akibat dan metode Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA). Hasil analisis menggunakan checksheet menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses produksi masih terdapat reject biskuit yang tinggi sebesar 19,28%, kemudian hasil dari peta kendali menunjukan bahwa adanya titik berfluktuasi sangat tinggi dan tidak beraturan yang menunjukkan  bahwa proses produksi masih mengalami penyimpangan, oleh sebab itu masih diperlukan analisia lebih lanjut dengan menggunakan diagram sebab-akibat (fishbone diagram). Dari analisis sebab-akibat dapat diketahui faktor penyebab penyimpangan/reject berasal dari faktor manusia, metode, dan material. Selanjutnya berdasarkan analisis menggunakan metode FMEA prioritas utama perbaikan berdasarkan nilai RPN tertinggi yang harus dilakukan oleh PT. Mayora Indah diantranya yaitu Membuat jalur biskuit dan menurunkan packing table lebih rendah dari output mesin sandwiching dengan nilai RPN sebesar 168, Membuat standar diameter teflon dan revisi pengecekan kondisi teflon di setiap minggu dengan nilai RPN sebesar 105, dan Merubah jalur stacking dari yang tidak berlawanan arah menjadi berlawanan arah nilai RPN sebesar 72

Abstract

PT. Prisma Engineering Unggul is an engineering company and manufacturer of engineering transportation equipment, designing and manufacturing engineering products specifically for off-road applications used in the mining, oil and gas, agroforestry and transportation sectors. Production machine layout at PT. Prisma Engineering Unggul has not followed the layout of the production area in accordance with the flow of the material handling process. So the machines are still very close together or far apart, so that a lot of materials and products are scattered about in the wrong place, causing buildup and making it difficult to walk in the production area. Objectives To find out the best spacing layouts for arranging production machines using the systematic layout planning (SLP) method and ARC (Activity Relationship Chart),ARD (Activity Relationship Diagram tools using field study methods, linear studies, brainstorming (brainstorming/feedback). Based on the method (SLP) can determine the relationship between the activities of the relationship between machines can produce machine layout to be based on production flow. For the proposed layout of the machine distances that have been made, it can be seen that the machines are neater in sequence with the flow of material. So that the activity of moving material is lower and the total time is relatively short, production results can also be placed not scattered and make it easier to walk in the production area.Keywords : SLP, ARC, ARD, Layout, Machine Distance.
