Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship parenting pattern and socioeconomic status through parent?scommunication on children's language ability in Kindergarten of Anjir Muara District. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods. The population were 300 children and sample were 173 people using the proportionate random sampling technique. Data colection uses quesioners and observation. Hypothesis testing uses Path Analysis. The results (1) there is significant relationship between parenting pattern and parent communication (2) there is significant relationship between the socioeconomic status and parent communication (3) there is significant relationship between parents parenting pattern and children's language ability (4) there is significant relationship between family socioeconomic status and children's language ability (5) there is significant relationship between parent communication and children's language ability (6) there is significant indirect relationship parenting pattern, parent?s communication on children's language ability (7) there is significant indirect relationship between socioeconomic status through parental communication on children's language ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh tingkat pendidikan orang tua terhadap pola asuh, pekerjaan orang tua terhadap pola asuh, tingkat pendidikan orang tua terhadap kemandirian anak, pekerjaan orang tua terhadap kemandirian anak, pola asuh terhadap kemandirian anak, tingkat pendidikan orangtua melalui pola asuh terhadap kemandirian anak, dan  pekerjaan orang tua melalui pola asuh terhadap kemandirian anak. Sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan simple random sampling sebanyak 212 orang orang tua dan anak. Pengolahan data dilakukan melalui bantuan komputer program IBM SPSS versi 24.0. Hasil penelitian: Ada pengaruh  langsung:  (1) Tingkat pendidikan orangtua terhadap pola asuh di TK Gugus Kecamatan Alalak (2) Pekerjaan orangtua terhadap pola asuh di TK Kecamatan Alalak (3) Tingkat pendidikan orangtua terhadap kemandirian anak di TK Kecamatan Alalak (4) Pekerjaan orangtua terhadap kemandirian anak di TK Kecamatan Alalak. (5) Pola asuh terhadap kemandiran anak di TK Kecamatan Alalak Tidak ada pengaruh tidak langsung (6) Tingkat pendidikan orangtua terhadap kemandirian anak melalui pola asuh di TK Kecamatan Alalak (7) Pekerjaan orangtua terhadap kemandirian anak melalui pola asuh di TK  Kecamatan Alalak

Abstract

Children’s learning while at home requires guidance from parents. One of them is in the use of gadgets and parental knowledge as the main factor in developing children’s literacy skills. The ability of children’s literacy is the ability to read. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of parental education on children’s reading literacy skills during pandemics. The method used in this study is quantitative method. The data were collected by using questionnaire, observation, and interviews. The results of the study are that parental education has an influence on early childhood reading literacy skills in pandemic times. Parental education plays a role in helping children in learning, especially in improving children’s reading skills. Learning can be applied through storytelling activities.
