Abstract

AbsractThis research is based on the willingness of the researcher to find out the polymetric in music?s acompaniment of Ngeruai Kenemiak dance of Dayak Kantu? tribe, Kapuas Hulu. Polymetric is the use of two different time signature signs of each instrument that played simultaneously in one composition. The purposes of this research are: 1) The descriptioning of the structure of music?s acompaniment of Ngeruai Kenemiak dance of Dayak Kantu? tribe, Kapuas Hulu, 2) The analysis of the polymetric in music?s acompaniment of Ngeruai Kenemiak dance of Dayak Kantu? tribe, Kapuas Hulu. A method used in this research is analysis descriptive method with musicological approachment. The data is analyzed qualitatively. According to the data analysis, music?s accompaniment of Ngeruai Kenemiak has four parts: tebah bujang berani in the opening, tebah kumang gaga in the middle?, and tebah ansing-ansing in the ending. The polymetric used in the composisition composed by the use of time signature signs in gerumong  instrument 5/4 and 3/4 are different with what used in bebenai, tawak, and ketebong instruments (4/4). Advisor I Ismunandar, S.H., S.Sn., M.Pd., And Advisor II Asfar Munir, M.Pd. This research is motivated by the writer's interest as a choreographer of the uniqueness of the lamp cannon lamp which is one of the popular historical items in the Royal Palace of Matan Tanjungpura in Ketapang Regency and then elevates it to an arable dance work. The purpose of this study is to re-introduce a unique event from the sound of the cannon that is turned on when welcoming the holy month of Ramadan is in the Royal Palace of Matan Tanjungpura that is able to turn off the lamp in the vicinity of the ketapang area affected by the sound bias from the cannon. The method used is the method of exploration, analysis and evaluation. Research data is the result of observation and interviews. The type of dance set is a dramatic dance type with a pattern of new dance creation, because the writer as a choreographer presents dynamics, conflict, tension, moral values, and others. The framework of the dish is divided into scenes by presenting five acts, namely the daily life of the Ketapang community, the custom of turning on the cannon to go out the lamp and when the coming of the holy month of Ramadan. The theme of this dance work is literary because it takes some of the impression from a series of events. The analysis of dance works starts from ideas / concepts, frameworks, the selection of dancers, the selection of composers and musicians, the operatives used, as well as choosing what instruments are used to support the dance work. Keywords: Meram Padam Pelita(Tradition)

Abstract

AbstractMusic minmalism is one of the contemporary art that exist at this time. The music departs from an experimetal style with minimal concept but maximum result. That is, the concept of minimalism music in general only uses minimal processing patterns and then there is a change gradually and gradually so as to obtain  a complete musical composition. The autor tries to apply the technique in the work of minimalism music as a treatmen of harmony in his work. Formulation of the idea of creation of the work entitled ?Music for 13 Musician? was to apply aspect of musical work minimalism, toapply aspect of polytonal, and to apply multivalent aspect of musical instrumentation of Western and Indonesian traditions. The purpose of the work entitled ?Music for 13 Musician? was tohow to create ofminimalism music, to applypolytonal applied, and  to apply multivalent applied music intrumentation of Western and Indonesian traditions. Abstract

AbstractThis research based on the lack of interest for traditional art which is an ancestors heritage and the need for some effort to learn and preserve traditional music. One of traditional art from Batak Toba tribe wich exist in Sintang, West Kalimantan is Gondang Batara Guru in wedding ceremonial of Batak Toba tribe in Sintang West Kalimantan. The purpose of this research is to describing shape and music melody of Gondang Batara Guru music in wedding ceremonial of Batak Toba tribe in Sintang West Kalimantan. The method that used in this research is qualitative descriptive method and use musicology approach. Data contained in this research is the result of direct observation and interview with informant about shape and melody of Batara Guru music. Along with the times, and religion comes, Gondang Batara Guru music is more focused as dance music and to entertain in wedding ceremonial and as the thanks for the god ceremony in Batak Toba tradition especially Music Batara Guru music in wedding ceremonial in Sintang West Kalimantan Keywords: Analysis, Gondang Batara Guru Music, Batak Toba Tribe, Sintang, West Kalimantan.

Abstract

AbstractThis research analyzed the form of Totokng Padi Dance Musical Accompaniment Performance on Samalantan Sub-district in Bengkayang Regency. The problem of this research were (1) How was the form of Totokng Padi Dance Musical Accompaniment Performance in Naik Dango Event on Samalantan Sub-district in Bengkayang Regency (2) How was the contribution of Totokng Padi Dance Musical Accompaniment Performance as the teaching material in teaching learning process at school. Descriptive metho in qualitative research with ethnomusicology approach was done to execute this research. The source of the data were Titus Jaman, Markus, and Sumiati. The data in this research were obtained through the interview and observation result in the form of voice records, photos, and videos about Totokng Padi. The technique in collecting the data were observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Moreover, to test the validity of the data, the research used Triangulation (Triangulation Resources) The result of the research were music instument, player, stage arrangement, makeup, fashion, sound arrangement, lighting arrangement, formation, and the order of performance. These results were expected to be a contribution to the teaching material about Totokng Padi, to comprehend about the Totokng Padi Musical Accompaniment, uniqueness of Totokng Padi and exhibition (?) for grade 10 of first Semester in 2013 Curriculum.  Keywords: the form of the performance, Musical Accompaniment, Totokng Padi, Samalantan Sub-district.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by the importance of preserving traditional arts, especially in this study, namely Belangkah dance. The method used was a descriptive method with a form of qualitative research and using a musicology approach. Data collection technique used observation and interview techniques while the data collection tools used were interview guidelines, observational guidelines and research guidelines as well as assistive devices in the form of camcorders, mobile phones and notebooks. All data obtained in this research were analyzed using musicology review with content analysis techniques. Testing the validity of the data of this study used source triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicated that the musical scales used in the Gasep song were A minor harmonious scales on the natural basic note (A Minor), with an Adante tempo between 80-108 BPM and the bar used was 4/4 and had a three-part song form. In the melody motif there was a literal repetition, repetition at other levels (sequences up and down), magnification of the interval, decrease the interval and enlargement the value of the tone. AbstractThis research is conducted by the researcher's willingness to find out the form of presentation  of music structure of Raddat Koko dance in Sekuduk Village, Sejangkung District, Sambas Regency. The specific problem is how does the form of presentation of music of Raddat Koko dance in Sekuduk Village,Sejangkung District, Sambas Regency? What are the instruments presented in music accompaniments of Radat Koko dance in Sekuduk Village, Sejangkung District, Sambas Regency?. The method that used in this research is descriptive-explorative in the form of Qualitative. The data that used are from the observation result with the informants and figures who understand about the Raddat Koko dance in Sekuduk Village,Sejangkung District, Sambas Regency. The results of the research are: 1. The presentation structure of the music of Raddat Koko dance in Sekuduk Village,Sejangkung District, Sambas Regency included all the musician plays in the Raddat Koko art, the stage that used, the wardrobe and make up that used, sound system, lighting concept, composition and form of presentation structure. 2. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe the history of silotuang, describe silotuang organology, describe the music system of silotuang and the design of the lesson. Due to this importance, analytic descriptive method in form of qualitative under the approach of ethnomusicology was needed. The sources of the data were three interviewees and one validator with the technique of observation, interview, and documentation. The validity of the data was obtained through three types of tringualation, they were; source, technique, and time, with the technique of the anlysis of Spradley model. The result of this research was in 1985 Silotuang was considered traditional music instrument in Jagoi Dayaknese. Based on shape, Silotuang is still original it has not modificated yet. The basic material of Silotuang is Bamboo Toling Manah Basah. Silotuang is functioned as the to nurturing instrument in rituals of curing and Gawai. The conclusion of this research is Silotuang as origin music instrument of Jagoi Kindau exactly in 1985, which made from Toling Manah Basah and played by rhytmicKey Words: Silotuang, Music Art, Traditional Music Instrument

Abstract

AbstractThis research based on the need of cello extended techniques literature in Indonesia that is not directly proportional to the existence of contemporary music works using this technique. The aims of this research are 1) the description of the simplest form of music composition Hnnoh III, 2) the description of musical notation of the cello extended techniques on the music composition Hnnoh III, 3) the description of how to play and the preparation to play the cello extended techniques on the music composition Hnnoh III. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method and using musicology approach. The data contained in this study are the results of unstructured observation, interviews to expert informants namely Nursalim Yadi Anugerah who also a composer and cellist in the music composition Hnnoh III, document techniques and literature studies related to the cello extended techniques. The results of this study are the free form music on the music composition Hnnoh III and the cello extended techniques used include the Col Legno Tratto, Col Legno Tratto combined Tapping / Striking Left Hand, Very Fast Vibrato Harmonic, Doublestop Harmonic, Doublestop Clusters / Quarter Tones and Glissando Tremolo. Keywords:  Music Composition Hnnoh III, Contemporary, Cello, Cello Extended Techniques.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to describe the history and the development and the concept of learning by pukulan gantung of Hadrah Hubbul Wathan Group.This research used qualitative historical descriptive method and history approach. The sources of this research are Awaluddin Hamdan, Anwar Dja’far, and Abdul Halim who knew about pukulan gantung of Hubbul Wathan hadrah group also several hadrah artists who lived in every districts in Pontianak. The technique which used were observation, interview, and documentation. According to the data analyzed, it can be concluded that pukulan gantung is a syncopation from the term of tar instrument played in Pontianak. It was created by Hubbul Wathan hadrah group in 2002 till 2005. This hit has its own uniqueness to Hubbul Wathan hadrah art group and another hadrah artists in Pontianak. They interpretated that hit as the climax in hadrah playing. In 2009 to 2013 pukulan gantung started to spread out to another different art groups in every districts in Pontianak until now.     Keywords: history, pukulan Gantung, Hubbul Wathan.
