Abstract

This research aims to find out how far the Effectiveness of School Principal?s Leadership in Developing Culture of Literacy at Aziziyyah Islamic High School, Tangerang. The methods used is qualitative approach.The results of this study indicate that the design of literacy culture development in MA Aziziyyah Tangerang has been adapted to the GLS guidelines formulated by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Includes stages: Habituation Stages, Development Stages, and Learning Stages. Indicators of achievement in these stages were met with 30 items out of a total of 37 items. These results indicate that each stage in the design of literacy culture development runs optimally in accordance with the objectives to be achieved. Several factors influence the development of literacy culture in MA Aziziyyah Tangerang, including: psychosocial factors, leadership factors, environmental factors, organizational factors, ecological factors, and government policies. These factors tend to have a positive impact on the process of developing literacy culture in MA Aziziyyah. The effectiveness of the principal's leadership is the main foundation for optimizing the development of literacy culture. Indicators of achievement related to the effectiveness of MA Aziziyyah school principal leadership in developing a literacy culture fulfilled 6 items out of a total of 7 items. The results showed that the leadership carried out by the principal was quite effective.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of analyzing the effect of applying the Treffinger learning model on students' higher order thinking skills (HOTS). In fact, low higher order thinking skills (HOTS) of students is a form of applying an appropriate learning model.  Whereas HOTS is one of the abilities that must be possessed by students in the 21st century. Treffinger learning model is suitable to be applied because it is based on the development of the times. The research method used is quantitative research and pre-experimental design. The population in this study were 115 and the sample used is 26 students in class V of elementary school. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling. Data collection techniques using tests and documentation. Hypothesis test using t test. Based on the results of this study, there is a significant effect from the application of the Treffinger learning model on the higher order thinking skills grade students at SD Negeri 1 Triharjo, which is indicated by a significance value of 0.000 (p = 0.05). The Treffinger learning model makes students more active in the learning process and causes changes in behavior in accordance with learning objectives. The Treffinger learning model is expected to be an alternative that educators can use in increasing student HOTS.

Abstract

Utilizing cultivated land as an extracurricular program in schools is an initiative that is relevant to sustainable development goals. This research aims to explore and evaluate the positive impact of implementing the program on aspects of sustainable development. The research method involves main activities and data analysis to understand the impact and obtain the perspectives of the participants and relevant stakeholders. The implementation of this extracurricular program also brings social benefits, such as increasing collaboration between students, forming a responsible attitude towards the environment, and increasing awareness of sustainable development. In addition, involving students in agricultural activities can be a means of developing character and leadership. This research also identified several challenges, such as a lack of resources and support, as well as the need for program integration with the formal curriculum to ensure sustainability and sustainability of learning. Thus, the use of cultivated land as an extracurricular program in schools can be an effective strategy for achieving sustainable development goals, especially in the aspects of environmental education, agricultural skills, and developing social attitudes. Joint efforts are needed from the school, government, and community to ensure the sustainability and success of this program in the long term.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja GuruKepemimpinan menjadi salah satu hal yang harus dimiliki oleh kepala sekolah. Guru memiliki peran penting dalam pendidikan. Kinerja guru pun perlu ditingkatkan. kepala sekolah memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk sekolah, terutama dalam mendorong tingkat kemandirian kelembagaan yang lebih tinggi. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini menganalisis kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Penelitian yang digunakan penulis adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) jenis descriptive review. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder yang berasal dari artikel ilmiah nasional dalam rentang tahun 2019 hingga 2023. Basis data yang digunakan yaitu Google Scholar. Kata kunci yang digunakan yaitu, kepala sekolah, kepemimpinan, kinerja guru. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: Hasil reviu menunjukan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah secara positif dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui fungsi manajemen yang tepat, aplikasi gaya kepemimpinan yang sesuai dan juga pemberian motivasi kepada guru. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, adanya keterbatasan metode yang dilakukan dalam studi yang dilakukan dan juga perlunya pengembangan keilmuan yang signifikan untuk studi lebih lanjut dalam bidang kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Kata kunci:  kepala sekolah, kepemimpinan, kinerja guru

Abstract

Teacher self-efficacy is an individual teacher's belief in his ability to manage, design and plan the activities needed to achieve educational goals. Teachers with high self-efficacy will provide many new ideas in their teaching. This study aimed to analyze the influences of school principals’ managerial skills on teacher self-efficacy, based on a quantitative research with the type of research ex-post facto. Data were collected using questionnaires with a Likert scale from 354 teachers in public elementary schools. The validity and reliability of the instrument were assessed, and the Pearson product moment correlation was used to examine the data. By first verifying normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and linearity, the data collected was analyzed to find the direct correlation among variables. The study’s results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between the school principals’ managerial skills on teacher self-efficacy. The findings may be useful for developing countries seeking to improve teacher self-efficacy and the quality of their education. As suggested by the current research, ensuring teacher self-efficacy in teaching is crucial because of its positive impact on those with lower qualifications, ranks, and experience. The practical implication of this research is that the managerial skills of school principals can be improved continuously because it has been proven to increase teacher self-efficacy.

Abstract

The utilization of digital media in e-learning has become one of the alternatives to conduct teaching and learning activities more efficiently when faced with challenges such as long distances, a lack of physical learning spaces, shifts in class schedules, and so on. One of the innovations in e-learning is the development of multimedia learning materials that can optimize the learning process and output. The research aims to develop interactive multimedia learning media based on Android for e-learning. The research method used is a development-research, which includes: 1) Research and information collecting; 2) Planning; 3) Developing a preliminary form of product; 4) Preliminary field testing; 5) Main product revision; 6) Main field testing; 7) Operational product revision; 8) Operational field testing; 9) Final product revision; 10) Dissemination and implementation. The product was tested in a class G PGSD (Elementary School Teacher Education) at FKIP University of Lampung with 34 students. Based on the research results, the Android-based interactive multimedia developed was found to enhance students' cognitive skills, with an N-gain score of 0.729, categorized as "High". The implications of this research indicate the importance of utilizing technology in developing instructional media. The positive outcomes of using Android-based interactive multimedia in enhancing students' cognitive skills can serve as a basis for further studies aimed at creating engaging, innovative, and enjoyable learning experiences.
