Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design an intelligent monitoring system to monitor CCTV installed on the highway using internet of things (IOT) technology. CCTV monitoring was previously used only for monitoring and recording events from objects caught by CCTV and can be accessed through an application provided by the supplier of the CCTV brand so that it is not difficult to configure according to the needs of the user. In this research designing CCTV smart power monitoring apart from monitoring and recording objects, this smart power system can find out time, address, code, voltage, electric current, total kwh and electricity costs which display variable values ​​that are measurable and can be controlled through an application that can and accessed using the internet and smartphones. The resulting data can be used as a reference..

Abstract

Along with the significant development of life progress, the competition that occurs requires people to follow the flow of adjustments as well as the world of education which now provides many alternative choices and levels of quality. Educational institutions need to develop their competitive advantage in order to survive, compete and sustain their survival properly. The resources needed to maintain its survival are not solely from traditional resources but must also come from intangible resources, namely knowledge. To benefit from the knowledge they have and what knowledge they must have, educational institutions / organizations must manage their knowledge through knowledge management. Consciously, educational institutions must know the knowledge they have and their benefits to improve performance and increase innovation and creativity. To achieve superior educational institutions, knowledge management is needed, namely the ability to create and maintain value that is greater than the competitiveness of the core institution. Knowledge and experience are able to create, communicate and apply knowledge about various things to achieve organizational goals, namely to become a superior educational institution.

Abstract

This research designs and implements a website-based goods inventory application using the Sequential Search (SS) algorithm in Steel Ship UKM. The aim is to overcome problems that often occur in the process of borrowing and returning goods, frequent loss of goods, and to be more efficient in recording outdoor equipment. Implementation of this sequential search algorithm to search for items based on the date the user borrowed and returned the item. This evaluation was carried out on the logistics bureau division in recording goods, borrowing and returning goods in real world conditions within the organization and externally. The results of this research show that the application Website-based inventory of goods that utilizes the sequential search (SS) algorithm can provide an effective solution for recording outdoor equipment and borrowing and returning outdoor equipment transactions both internally and externally at UKM Kapal Baja.

Abstract

Activities in a company or institution are something that is usually done, the forms of these activities are generally training, socialization of new regulations, inauguration, and so on. These activities need to be recorded and the data managed as documentation or reference and consideration in subsequent activities. This activity requires planning starting from preparation, scheduling, distributing invitations via email, to implementing and recording the attendance of invited participants. The case study was conducted at PT Pelni Indonesia as an Indonesian National Shipping company that often carries out internal activities within the company. The problem that occurs in the management of company activities at PT Pelni is that so far it is still using the manual system. The participant registration process, participant data collection, sending invitations, recording participant attendance and so on are carried out in handwriting and stored in an excel file. Of course, this makes it difficult to search and manage data, and allows data loss or document slippage to occur. One solution that can be used to overcome these problems is to build an information system for managing company activity data. The management system can assist the HRD for data management needed in the implementation of activities carried out by the company. QR Code technology is also used to encrypt participant invitation numbers, verify participant data and to record attendance. The result of developing this system is a data management system for company activities by utilizing Quick Response Code (QR Code) technology. The generated QR Code can store various participant data in only 1 code and is used to verify participant data.

Abstract

This study aims to design an automated system tool for freshwater crayfish aquaculture based on the Internet of Things (IoT). In lobster cultivation, it is necessary to pay attention to important factors for the success of cultivation, namely environmental conditions, feed and water quality. Water quality that must be considered from the water temperature and pH of the water. In thisautomatic system, sensors are made that can monitor pH, temperature and feed automatically. The design of this tool for monitoring pH, temperature and feed can be controlled through the Blynk application and using the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) method can help in calculating the distance to the expected water quality. The tool made can be run remotely with a micro device called Wemos D1 as the central controller which is connected to the application and the temperature sensor used is a Thermocouple and a pH meter sensor. With this automatic system tool, it can be used properly so that it can produce lobster with good quality.

Abstract

Feature extraction techniques are applied to obtain features that will be useful in classifying and recognizing images. Feature extraction techniques are very helpful in various image processing applications. Many studies show the effectiveness of feature extraction before classification. There is also research showing that a feature extraction method may be good for certain classification approaches but may also be preferable. The impact of the sample and its size can also determine the results of the application of feature extraction techniques in the classification process. In this study, the author aims to prove the effectiveness of the application of the HOG feature extraction technique on the classification with the SVM method on flower images. The experiment was carried out on two groups of images, where the first group was image classes with relatively uniform colors and shapes, both in shape and color. and the second group is image classes with relatively different colors and shapes in the same class. The results showed that image datasets with relatively uniform colors and shapes do not require the application of any feature extraction to produce high accuracy. For classification by performing feature extraction in this study it gives different results for the two interest groups.
