Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dinamika kepribadian tokoh Ranta dalam “Sekali Peristiwa di Banten Selatan” karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan menggunakan psikologi behavior Skinner dengan stimulus-respons. Penelitian ini tidak terkait pada tempat tertentu. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Fokus penelitian ini adalah menemukan perubahan kepribadian dari tokoh Ranta dalam “Sekali Peristiwa di Banten Selatan” menggunakan teori behavior Skinner, stimulus-respons. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menemukan bahwa psikologi kepribadian tokoh Ranta dipengaruhi oleh stimulus dari tokoh dan lingkungan dimana dia tinggal. Peneliti mendapatkan dua perubahan dalam penelitian ini, (1) perubahan yang terjadi pada Ranta yang pertama adalah kepribadiannya yang introvert menjadi ekstrovert (2) kelas sosial Ranta juga terjadi perubahan yang tadinya hanya warga kampung biasa pada akhir cerita Ranta menjadi Lurah di kampungnya. Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan kelas bawah pada tokoh Punakawan dalam komik karya Tatang S. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yaitu menjabarkan gambaran cerita secara lengkap. Sema banyak dua puluh buah judul komik penelitian ini coba menafsirkan tanda- tanda kekelasbawahan yang ada di dalamnya. Dengan menggunakan konsep- konsep teoritis yang mencakup pola fungsi aktan, representasi dalam kajian budaya, pendekatan semiologi Rolland Barthes, konsep kelas bawah dalam tokoh Punakawan. Skripsi ini mengajukan kesimpulan bahwa peranperan tokoh punakawan dalam komik Tatang merupakan representasi konstruksi kelas bawah dalam kondisi masyarakat dimana komik tersebut dibuat. Penelitian ini menemukan beberapa ciri kelas bawah yang ditandai dalam beberapan hal yang terkategorisasi pada pola kemunculan hantu, kisah asmara, kisah kepahlawanan, dan humor yang ditawarkan dalam cerita. Abstract

The paper is to explain linguistical image of Rudyard Kipling in the poetry “The Ballad of East and West” and to relate with family of language over the world. It is found, the words “west” and “east” refer to the different location but it is from the similar pronounciation. It like “atala” in Sanskrit, “od” in Greek, and has relation with the word “atlantic” in English. The data will be approached by the philosophy of language, particularly in the perspective of the fixed thing (Greek: esse) and the changed thing (percipi). The result, the word has the same essence. The trace of family of the word “east” and “west” could be proved in the language of Autronesian, particulary in Javanese poem. There is hibridity of reality in the area of language in the world. It could be recommended that the evidence in language is a medium of learning related with education, culture, and reality of Austronesian.

Abstract

Background: Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) is an inflammatory biomarker of cardiovascular disease. Framingham score is currently a widely used risk stratification tool for detecting the incidence of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), although it is not very sensitive. Adding Lp-PLA2 to the Framingham score can raise the odds ratio (OR) for AMI, but requires further research.Objectives: In this study, we examine the role of Lp-PLA2 in increasing the sensitivity of the Framingham score for detecting the incidence of AMI.Methods: This study was a case-control study of 97 male patients, 60 of whom had AMI and were treated in the intensive care unit as test subjects, and 37 of whom were non-AMI patients with normal treadmill test used as controls.Results:Lp-PLA2 activity was found to be higher in the AMI group than that in the control group (83.97 ± 27.15 nmol/ml/min vs. 55.04 ± 31.99 nmol/ml/min). Eighteen patients (30%) with AMI were included in the high-risk category according to the Framingham score; this number increased to 36 patients after the addition of Lp-PLA2 activity to the Framingham score. Analysis using a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) showed a cut-off value for Lp-PLA2 activity associated with AMI of approximately 74.21 nmol/ml/min with an accuracy of 67%. The OR for detecting AMI incidence increased after the addition of Lp-PLA2 activity from 1:01 (CI 95%, 0.414–2.48) to 4.67 (CI 95%, 1.88-11.61).Conclusions:   The addition of Lp-PLA2 activity may increase the sensitivity of the Framingham score for detecting the incidence of AMI.

Abstract

A woman deserves to get respect and equal position with a man in the feminist view. This study aimed to find out misogynism in the novel Kim Ji-yeong, Lahir Tahun 1982, written by Cho Nam-joo. The method was qualitative. The collected data was from words, phrases, clauses, and sentences, whether directly or indirectly stated by women characters in the novel affected by misogyny. Data analysis based on Bogdan & Biklen model (2007) was categorized and coded; afterward, it was interpreted and displayed descriptively. The result revealed three situations described they were misogyny in the domestic area, society, and institution. This study implies in the feminist perspective that it is crucial to avoid or prevent misogynism in lives.
