Abstract

This research was conducted to know the implementation of an immersed type of integrated thematic learning model to improve student?s motivation at MI Tahsinul Akhlaq Bahrul Ulum, Surabaya. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection in this research was participant observation category to the teachers and students at MI Tahsinul Akhlaq Bahrul Ulum, Surabaya. The technique of data analysis in this research was data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The preparation processes was i) researcher examined everything that could improve student?s motivation, ii) researcher examined the basic competencies (KD) contained in the syllabus book, iii) researcher examined the teacher's book and student's book, iv) researcher examined the learning model that could improve student?s motivation, and v)  researcher arranged Lesson Plan (RPP). The lesson plan was implemented in thematic learning at MI Tahsinul Akhlaq Bahrul Ulum, then analysis was conducted to relate the improvement of student?s motivation before and after thematic learning with Immersed type. The result showed that the integrated thematic learning with Immersed type could improve students? motivation at MI Tahsinul Akhlaq Bahrul Ulum.

Abstract

Research has been done to develop the kind of integrated science teaching type webbed (Syllabus, Lesson Plans, Student Work Sheet, Student Book, Student Achievement Test) with guided inquiry model that aims to teach self directed learning and life skills junior high school students. Learning materials developed by four D model there are define, design, develop, and disseminate. Learning materials were validated by the experts to determine the validity of the materials and tested on 35 students of grade VII junior high school odd semester academic year 2015/2016 using the One Group Pre-test and Post Test Design. The data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative-qualitative. The results are: 1) The validity of the materials is very valid category (score 3.63); 2) Readability worksheet shows 100% the content interesting and easy to understand, 82.86% Student Work Sheet attractive appearance and legibility Student Book legible and suitable for use in junior high school students with an average number of sample sentences readings taken by researchers is 5.93 sentence in 100 words with the average number of syllables 145.2; 3) the successful is very good (average score of 3.71); 4) The students responded very positively (97.14%); 5) Student’s activities are student centered type; 6) increased student learning achievement (N-gain 0.74); 7) The self directed learning and improve students' life skills. The conclusions of this research are integrated science teaching materials types based guided inquiry type webbed developed is feasible to use in teaching self directed learning and ability of life skills junior high school students. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed (Silabus, RPP, LKS, Buku Siswa, Tes Hasil Belajar) dengan model inkuiri terbimbing yang bertujuan untuk melatih kemandirian belajar dan kecakapan hidup siswa SMP. Perangkat pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model 4D (four D model) terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan penyebaran (disseminate). Perangkat pembelajaran divalidasi oleh para pakar untuk mengetahui validitas perangkat dan diujicoba pada 35 siswa kelas VII SMP semester gasal tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan rancangan One-Group Pre test and Post test Design. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan hasil: 1) Validitas perangkat kategori sangat valid (skor 3.63); 2) Keterbacaan LKS menunjukkan 100% isi LKS menarik dan mudah dipahami, 82.86% penampilan LKS menarik dan keterbacaan Buku Siswa terbaca dan layak digunakan untuk siswa SMP dengan rata-rata jumlah kalimat sampel bacaan yang diambil peneliti adalah 5,93 kalimat dalam 100 kata dengan rata-rata jumlah suku kata 145,2; 3) Keterlaksanaan sangat baik (skor rata-rata 3.71); 4) siswa merespon sangat positif (97.14%); 5) Aktivitas siswa bersifat student center; 6) Hasil belajar siswa meningkat (N-gain 0.74); 7) Kemandirian belajar dan kecakapan hidup siswa meningkat. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan sudah valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan kecakapan hidup siswa SMP.

Abstract

This research aims to know how the science learning process in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at MI Roudlotul Ulum Surabaya. This research focuses on the process of planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes and obstacles faced by the teacher in implementing science learning of the 2013 curriculum.  The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data analysis in this study is reducting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Based on the data analysis it can be concluded that the science learning in implementing of 2013 curriculum in MI Roudlotul Ulum Surabaya uses the scientific method. Moreover, the assessment uses authentic assessment that is consistent with the 2013 curriculum which includes aspects of attitude, aspect of knowledge, and aspect of skills. The obstacle faced by teachers in the learning process is students have a different absorption and understanding of a teaching material. It can be overcome by guiding by the teacher when guiding work in a group

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu tujuan pendidikan adalah menyiapkan peserta didik untuk mampu berkontribusi dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Siswa menerapkan apa yang dipelajari di sekolah yang memberikan pengalaman belajar terencana ke masyarakat dan memanfaatkan masyarakat sebagai sumber belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan analisis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian adalah bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL diawali dengan pemberian masalah. Hal ini untuk merangsang siswa agar mampu berpikir kritis dalam menyelesaikan masalah dan menemukan solusi yang tepat. PBL ditandai dengan siswa yang bekerjasama dengan siswa lain dalam kelompok yang mendatangkan motivasi untuk keterlibatan berkelanjutan dalam tugas-tugas kompleks dan memperkaya kesempatan berdiskusi, serta untuk pengembangan keterampilan-keterampilan sosial. Berdasarkan pemaparan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan sosial siswa.Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Keterampilan Sosial Abstract: One of the aims of education is for preparing students to contribute in social life. School is part of society that provides planned learning experience, students apply what is learned in the school to society and utilize society as a source of learning. The purpose of this research is to describe the analysis of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in developing critical thinking ability and social skills. This research uses library research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The result of this research shows that PBL model begins with giving a problem. It stimulates students to think critically in solving problems and find the right solution. PBL is characterized by students who collaborate with the other students in groups that increase their motivation for ongoing involvement in complex tasks and enrich discussion opportunities, moreover for the development of social skills. Based on that, it can be concluded that PBL learning model can be used to develop students' critical thinking ability and social skills.Keywords: Problem-Based Learning, Critical thinking ability, Social skill

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan pada semua kalangan (termasuk di dalam pondok pesantren) merupakan upaya yang harus dilakukan untuk menyesuaikan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Agama memberikan perhatian khusus terhadap pondok pesantren dengan mengeluarkan peraturan tentang pendidikan keagamaan islam termasuk di dalamnya Pendidikan Diniyah Formal (PDF) Wustha yang merupakan pendidikan formal setara SMP di dalam pondok pesantren. PDF Wustha dalam kurikulumnya mencantumkan pelajaran umum termasuk IPA. Namun dalam prakteknya pelajaran ini seolah hanya menjadi pelengkap sehingga motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa sangat rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berorientasi model pembelajaran pemaknaan untuk melatih motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan hasil implementasi: 1) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran; 2) respon siswa ; 3) aktivitas siswa ; 4) motivasi belajar siswa; serta 5) hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 35 siswa kelas VII PDF Wustha Al Fithrah Surabaya semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018 dengan rancangan One-Group Pre test and Post test Design. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan hasil: 1) Keterlaksanaan sangat baik (skor rata-rata 3.78); 2) siswa merespon sangat positif (97.05%); 3) Aktivitas siswa bersifat student center; 4) Motivasi belajar siswa meningkat; 5) Hasil belajar belajar siswa meningkat (N-gain 0.76). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa PDF Wustha dapat ditingkatkan secara efektif menggunakan model pembelajaran pemaknaan.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran pemaknaan, Motivasi belajar, Hasil belajar

Abstract

Indonesia is a diverse nation with various ethnicities, languages, traditions, and social classes, even in the religious aspect. The fact is that Indonesians have problems figuring out how to manage multikulturalism to minimize conflict caused by the term "difference". One of the strategic plans to instil multikultural values is to implement it through an educational process that teaches multikultural and human rights. The purpose of this research is to describe multikultural education in Islamic institutions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, which is located at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Ichsan Surabaya, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this research is from data collection and conclusions. The result of this research indicates that there is awareness of the existence of multikultural education, a curriculum with a multikultural perspective, and madrasa culture to appreciate differences. Multikultural education is implemented in the classroom and through outdoor education with various activities that emphasize teamwork. The impact of multikultural education on students is the realization of students' daily habits that show multikultural appreciation, live in harmony, and can minimize various conflicts between students.   Keywords: Education, Multikultural, Islamic Educational Institutions

Abstract

This research is motivated by the inactivity of students in following the lessons given by the teacher because the teacher only uses the same method in every teaching and learning activity, always uses a monotonous teaching method so that it makes students bored which results in low learning outcomes of students in Elementary School. which is marked by the learning outcomes of students who have not reached the minimum completeness criteria. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of learning using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on thematic learning outcomes. This research uses a qualitative research approach with the type of literature research or literature review (Literature Review or Literature Research), which is research where the object of research is explored through a variety of library information (books, encyclopedias, scientific journals, newspapers, magazines, theses, theses and documents). The data used are 10 primary data from journals and theses, supported by secondary data, namely supporting and complementary references to primary sources. According to the literature review, it was found that learning using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative model had a positive effect and a significant increase on students' thematic learning outcomes when compared to learning that did not use the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model. As a Elementary School, it really needs varied, interesting and innovative learning because students at Elementary School age are very fast to get bored and very active. This cannot be separated from the role of an educator in the learning outcomes of students in the learning process. Therefore, educators are required to be able to use and develop learning models that are in accordance with the learning process in the school where they teach.

Abstract

 Artikel ini merupakan hasil observasi terkait dengan kurangnya minat siswa dalam menulis serta siswa kesulitan dalam mendeskripsikan sesuatu. Hal ini terlihat ketika siswa mendapat tugas untuk membuat laporan berdasarkan pengamatan pada sebuah gambar. Siswa kesulitan dalam menuangkan buah pikirannya, hanya menulis benda-benda yang ada dalam gambar dan belum mampu membuat sebuah kalimat yang baik. Untuk itu, guru perlu membiasakan siswa dengan kegiatan menulis deskripsi dan menjadikan kegiatan menulis deskripsi sebagai suatu hal yang menyenangkan untuk mencapai standar kompetensi keterampilan menulis laporan sederhana dan menumbuhkan budaya menulis deskripsi pada siswa. Hal tersebut diperlukan proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan yakni dengan menerapkan sebuah media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, salah satu media yang dapat digunakan adalah media gambar seri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, metode kuantitatif ialah metode penelitian yang berlandaskan pada filsafat positivisme, digunakan untuk meneliti pada populasi atau sampel tertentu. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pra-eksperimen atau pre-experimental. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah “One Group Pretest-Posttest Design”. Hasil penelitian penggunaan media gambar seri efektif dalam melatih keterampilan menulis laporan sederhana siswa MI kelas rendah. Hal ini ini dapat dilihat dari tes hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan pembelajaran menulis laporan sederhana melalui media gambar seri menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan yaitu lebih tinggi 87,58 dibanding dengan pretest atau sebelum dilaksanakan perlakuan yakni 55,41. Berdasarkan uji t test, t hitung > t tabel atau -  13,5 > 1,714 dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa penggunaan media gambar seri efektif dalam melatih menulis laporan sederhana.
