Abstract

Telah dilakukan percobaan penentuan konsentrasi larutan kalium permanganate (KmnO4) yang belum diketahui nilainya menggunakan analisis spektoskopi UV-Vis. Data yang diperoleh yaitu berupa panjang gelombang (λ) dan absorbansi (A) untuk tiaplarutan KMnO4 yang sudah diketahui konsentrasinya yaitu 1x10-5 M, 0.5x10-5 M,0.25x10-5 M, 0.1x10-5 M, dan 0.05x10-5 M. Larutan KMnO4 berbagai konsentrasidiperoleh dari pengenceran menggunakan pelarut aquades. Dari data yang diperoleh kemudian dibuat grafik linear sehingga diperoleh persamaan garis linear. Selanjutnya dapat ditetukan nilai absorbtivitas (a) larutan KMnO4 yaitu sebesar 6.0 .107,yang selanjutnya dapat digunakan untuk menentukan konsentrasi KMnO4 yang belum diketahui nilainya menggunakan hukum Lambert-beer. Konsentrasi dari larutan KMnO4 yang belum diketahui nilainya yaitu sebesar 7.93.10-5 M.

Abstract

Counseling or counseling on gastrointestinal disorders by pharmacists can include a variety of services that focus on pharmaceutical aspects and drug management. Pharmacists play an important role in ensuring patients receive optimal pharmaceutical care in a home environment known as Home Care, in accordance with the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi vision and mission of Universitas Dharma Andalas which makes its students Interpreneur. The purpose of this service is for students to be able to develop interpreneurship talents in themselves, with counseling and education techniques that will later become provisions when graduating into business opportunities and are able to create jobs. This counseling was carried out at SMK Kartika 1-2 and SMK Pratama Padang. It is hoped that through this counseling, students will be wise in managing their own health, especially those related to gastrointestinal disorders

Abstract

The instant drink is processed products in powder form, easily soluble in water, practical in serving, and long shelf life due to their low water content and large surface area. In the current situation, a vitamin or drink that can improve the health of the body is needed. One of the compounds that can neutralize free radicals in the body as a trigger for a disease is β-carotene which has good antioxidant properties. One of the plants that contain high β-carotene is Yellow Pumpkin. It has a high nutritional content and fine fibre; thus, it is easy to digest. The method of making the instant drink is an oven drying method. This study aims to analyze β-carotene in yellow pumpkin, which is useful as an antioxidant using the UV-VIS spectrophotometry method. The absorbance of the β-carotene standard at a wavelength of 450 nm with distilled water as a blank. β-carotene standard is prepared by dissolving 0.2 g of potassium chromate in water to a volume of 100 ml.

Abstract

Merawat tubuh sekarang tidak hanya menjadi kebutuhan kaum wanita saja, akan tetapi hal tersebut sudah menjadi hal yang penting atau primer bagi kaum laki-laki. Limbah yang dihasilkan dari pengolahan kelapa sawit salah satunya adalah cangkang sawit. Cangkang sawit ini memiliki senyawa berupa arang aktif yang memiliki banyak manfaat dalam penggunaannya. Eyebrow cream merupakan kosmetik yang memiliki fungsi dapat mempertegas bentuk alis dan mengisi bulu-bulu alis yang kosong. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui arang aktif yang terkandung dalam cangkang sawit dapat di formulasikan menjadi eyebrow cream dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan konsentrasi mempengaruhi warna dalam pembuatan eyebrow cream. Formula dari sediaan eyebrow cream ini yaitu meliputi 1%, 3% dan 7%. Dalam pembuatan eyebrow cream peneliti mengelompokkan bahan menjadi dua. Fase minyak dan fase air yang kemudian dihomogenkan hingga membentuk eyebrow cream. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sediaan eyebrow cream stabil karena tidak adanya perubahan pada uji organoleptik, homogen, memiliki nilai pH 6,3-7,04, nilai viskositas 10798-14277 m.pa.s, nilai daya sebar 5,25-5,55 cm , nilai daya lekat 3,53-4,27 detik, tidak adanya efek iritasi pada kulit dan formula 3 paling disukai. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan arang aktif dari cangkang kelapa sawit dapat di formulasi menjadi eyebrow cream dan konsentrasi sebanyak 3% yang paling banyak disukai panelis.

Abstract

Breast self-examination (SADARI) is the development of a woman's awareness of the condition of her own breasts. This action comes with specific steps to detect breast cancer early. This activity is very simple and can be done by all women without the need to feel embarrassed to the examiner, does not require cost, and for busy women only need to provide time for approximately five minutes. Its sensitivity rate (its ability to detect breast cancer) is around 20-30%. The purpose of this PkM is to socialize and train women on how to detect breast cancer early with breast cancer self-detection techniques (SADARI). The special target of this PkM activity is to provide assistance by training PKK Bhayangkari women of Makassar Port, South Sulawesi. The method of this service activity is carried out by providing assistance to the examination of PKK Bhayangkari women of Makassar Port, South Sulawesi, who can perform SADARI properly and correctly. Based on the results, a significant thing was obtained, namely that the cadre mothers understood the dangers of breast cancer, and performed SADARI correctly.

Abstract

Antibiotics are drugs used to prevent and treat infections caused by bacteria. People mistakenly assume that antibiotics cure all diseases and are not careful in consuming or providing complete antibiotic therapy. Inappropriate use of antibiotics can increase medical costs because resistance makes the drugs more toxic. This Community Service activity aims to provide knowledge about the proper and correct use of antibiotics, providing knowledge about antibiotic resistance. This service activity is carried out by providing education and also providing leaflets about the use of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance. This activity was carried out by GOR H. Agus Salim, Padang City. The results of the activity where the number of participants was 80 people, there were still some who did not understand how to use drugs and antibiotic resistance. The activity was carried out by 6 lecturers assisted by 6 students from the Pharmacy Study Program at Dharma Andalas University. From this service activity, it is hoped that the people of Padang City will receive education about the use of antibiotics and be aware of the dangers of antibiotic resistance.
