<![CDATA[Abstrak; The purpose of carrying out this research was to find out the teacher's role in improving the soft skills of students at MTsN 3 Muaro Jambi. This research was conducted at MTsN 3 Muaro Jambi from 8 February to 16 April 2022. The method for obtaining data used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis performed was of a qualitative nature. The results obtained after the implementation of the research, namely the role of PPKn teachers in improving the Soft Skills of students at MTsN 3 Muaro Jambi, were not optimal, this was caused by several factors such as the urgency of implementing learning aimed at hard skills not soft skills, teachers did not really understand about soft skills, teachers do not know and understand various methods and strategies in improving soft skills in learning and have an impact on the monotony of the methods used during the implementation of learning and foster boredom in students, the teacher does not understand the character of students, causing the teacher to find it difficult to manage students and make learning not conducive. The advice given after this research was carried out was that the teacher should further improve his Soft Skills and exemplify students with a good attitude. This is because the teacher is at the forefront of students in finding references to soft skills and good character.]]>

<![CDATA[This study intends to examine how the UPTD for the Protection of Women and Children helps victims of domestic violence in Jambi City to obtain legal protection. A qualitative research methodology was used. Through the use of primary and secondary data, this research is descriptive in nature. Interviews and documentation are used as primary data collection methods, then the data will be analyzed qualitatively. The findings of this study indicate that the role of the UPTD for the Protection of Women and Children in providing legal protection for women victims of domestic violence has been going well, but not yet optimal. This is because there has been an increase in violence against women, and there will be a decrease in case data in 2022 because victims will tend not to report their experiences. In addition to providing legal protection for women victims of domestic violence, the UPTD for the Protection of Women and Children also functions as a mediator between victims and perpetrators. The task of the UPTD for the Protection of Women and Children is reduced to being a companion if the legal and religious courts are successful. In order to provide legal protection for women victims of domestic violence, the UPTD for the Protection of Women and Children must overcome challenges from victims, families of victims or perpetrators, and society. Based on this, the UPTD for the Protection of Women and Children seeks to provide this legal protection, in particular by conducting socialization and collaborating with related social organizations.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the problem of poor compliance among land taxpayers and community structures in the Tabir area of Merangin Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between land and building taxpayer compliance in Tabir induk sub-district, Merangin district is influenced by the knowledge of land and building taxpayers. Quantitative methodology was used in this study, the data collection tool used a questionnaire. Quantitative research is a research method used to answer the truth of the hypothesis. The conclusion of this research data analysis shows that the taxpayer awareness variable (X) has an effect on land and building taxpayer compliance (Y). The coefficient of determination R, which is 38.9 percent, indicates the degree of impact between factors in the examination of taxpayer awareness and compliance among land and building taxpayers. It is hoped that the recommendations in this study will increase the sample size of the study, expand the sample of researchers, and allow researchers to conduct studies in other locations or provinces so that the findings can be extrapolated to a larger population. This research contributes to the creation of courses, especially in the field of taxpayer awareness and taxpayer compliance. In addition, researchers are expected to focus their studies on additional elements that may affect taxpayer compliance outcomes that have not been included in this study.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of poverty and income on divorce among people in Jambi Province. The divorce rate among people in Jambi Province for the 2018-2021 period has increased. In 2018 the divorce rate in Jambi Province was 4183, in 2019 there were 4979, in 2020 there were 7587, in 2021 there were 10,000 divorce rates. This research is a quantitative research using the Ex Post Facto research method conducted in 10 regencies/cities in Jambi Province in period 2018-2021. The research data is secondary data obtained from publication data by the Jambi Central Bureau of Statistics. The data was analyzed by Panel Data Regression Test through Eviews 12 software. The results showed that simultaneously poverty and income affect divorce in people in Jambi Province with a probability value of f-statistic, namely 0.007123 <0.05, also seen from the R-Square value, which is 0.0234, meaning that poverty and income contribute to influencing divorce by 23.4% and the rest influenced by other factors outside of this study. Poverty partially has no effect on divorce as evidenced by the probability value of the t-statistic, namely 0.0548 > 0.05. Income partially has a significant effect on divorce with a probability value of t-statistic 0.0411 <0.05.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the application of democratic values in learning Pancasila and citizenship education (PPKn) in class X IPS SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci. This research is focused on the application of democratic values through learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education in class X IPS SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci. Democratic values in learning include the value of cooperation between students, self-confidence, freedom of opinion, mutual respect and respect for differences of opinion. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci in March 2023 to completion. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive research type. The sampling technique that researchers used in this study was the snowball sampling technique. Data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions are data analysis techniques that researchers use in this study. The results of this study are that SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci in class X IPS 1 and 2 the application of democratic values in Civics learning is not fully good enough, this can be seen from the many student behaviors that do not reflect democratic attitudes. The behavior of students in learning activities in class X IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci is not fully in accordance with the indicators from Zamoni, there are several indicators according to Zamoni which students have not been able to apply in the learning process such as cooperation between students which is still in a poor category, then also attitudes respecting opinions between individuals who are still classified as not good enough, from this, class X IPS has not fully implemented democratic values. So that during the learning process it can be seen that the democratic values highlighted by students are not fully good. On the other hand, the method used by the teacher is the same method every time so it is possible for students to become bored and boring]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to determine family relationships in community political behavior during the 2022 Aro Village Election. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this research. It can be concluded that the sociological approach is influential in this research, namely that family relationships have a strong relationship in politics. Researchers found in the field that the people of Aro Village made their political choices during the village elections based solely on family relationships. The level of kinship/kinship in Aro Village is based on three (3) levels, namely the first kinship level, the second kinship level, and the third kinship level. Of the three levels of kinship, the one that has the most influence on vote acquisition is the second type of kinship, namely kinship/kinship based on the descent of the paternal and maternal grandmothers. The family of candidate one will be used as the winning team for the 2022 Aro Village Election. Likewise with candidate two. When compared with candidate two, the family of candidate one has a strong influence on vote acquisition. So that candidate one succeeded in winning the 2022 Aro Village Election. The public considers when choosing based on Subjective Emotional, namely making a choice because they have family ties, kinship, even friendship.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to determine and analyze the effectiveness of law enforcement against traffic violations with Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) in the Jambi City Resort Police area and the obstacles to implementing Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (E-TLE) in enforcing traffic regulations in Jambi City. This research was conducted at Jambi Police. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach. The resulting data will be in the form of descriptions in the form of words and images and does not emphasize numbers. Research data was obtained by conducting interviews with police, community offenders and the general public. The informants who were used as subjects included: 3 Jambi City traffic police officers, 4 community offenders, and 4 members of the general public. The results of the research are that law enforcement against traffic violations in the city of Jambi through electronic traffic tickets or Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) based on Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation is carried out according to the rules but is not enough to be said to be effective. Inhibiting factors in implementing the E-TLE program include: 1. Law enforcement, 2. Facilities and infrastructure factors, 3. Community factors.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to identify barriers to achieving environmentally conscious behavior in Kasang Village, Jambi City, and how to improve river-based eco-citizenship to foster environmentally conscious character in the community. A descriptive approach was used in this qualitative research. Interviews, observations and documentation were the data collection methods used in this research, which involved two RT heads and ten residents as informants. The data analysis methods used include reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that strengthening river-based ecological citizenship in Kasang Village, Jambi City, researchers carried out additional outreach regarding strengthening ecological citizenship regarding rivers, ethical and moral procedures for the community in dealing with the environment and overcoming environmental problems. The community is aware of the obligation to protect rivers by disposing of rubbish in temporary dumping sites and recycling rubbish for learning in schools and the obstacles in strengthening ecological citizenship. There are no special government programs for protecting the river environment. There are only environmental programs around the river basin]]>

<![CDATA[Online gambling games among teenagers are a disturbing phenomenon. Actions that are detrimental to the teenager or other people. This research was conducted in Pematang Kandis Bangko Village. This research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The informants in this research are 8 teenagers who play online gambling, parents of teenagers who play online gambling and 2 residents, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the majority of teenagers have a low level of legal awareness regarding the legal consequences of their participation in online gambling games, this cannot be separated from the factors that cause them to commit crimes in online gambling games, these factors are situational, social factors. and economics, perceived probability of winning and family factors. The impact of this lack of legal awareness can be seen in the behavior of teenagers who tend to ignore the laws related to online gambling even though they are aware of these laws. They may engage in gambling activities without considering the legal implications.]]>

<![CDATA[The aims of this writing is to identificate the influence of the Inquiry Based Learning Model on Students' Critical Thinking Ability in Class X Civics Subjects at SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This writing implemented a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment design, a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design. Class X SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi was the population used, it was made up of 2 classes, namely class X E2 as the experimental class and class Meanwhile, data was acquired from tests in the form of questions given to students. After obtaining answers from the test, quantitative analysis is then carried out. The data analysis method used is the experimental class and control class t-test in order to ascertain how the IBL learning model affects students' critical thinking abilities. According to the data analysis derived from the output of independent sample t-test that used in hypothesis testing, the tcount>ttable value was obtained, the ttable value was 1,669. then tcount > ttable, namely 9.386 > 1.669 and a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 > 0.005 is obtained, it show that the IBL learning model impacts students critical thinking abilities in Class X Civics subjects at SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year."]]>
