Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by several obstacles in the implementation of learning, namely the low participation of students, besides the fact that teachers use learning methods commonly applied in the classroom is conventional learning which tends to minimize student involvement and teachers are more active. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that in the process of implementing the Think Pair Share Cooperative Learning Model in Civics subjects, student participation increased. This success criterion is 75% or more of the 100% percentage range. This success can be proven in the first cycle before the application of the Think Pair Share Cooperative Learning Model, the student participation was only at 45.9% in the low category, after applying the model at the end of the first cycle the percentage of students increased to 60.5% in the sufficient category. In the second cycle the percentage of student participation increased again to 65.8% in the good category, but had not reached the desired target and in the third cycle the student participation increased from the second cycle, which was 79.1% in the good category.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between understanding the values ​​of God Almighty and the religious attitudes of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Jambi City. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using the correlational method carried out at SMP Negeri 17 Jambi City in class VIII students with a sample of 61 people. The data in this study were collected through a questionnaire, processed by a simple correlation test using a t-test with Microsoft Excel 2010 and SPSS version 24. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there is a relationship between understanding the values ​​of the One Supreme God and religious attitudes. Calculation of the coefficient r_xy calculate the correlation value of 0.437 or in the moderate category and the t-test is significant, the value is t_count = 3.728 > t_table = 1.670. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the data on understanding the values ​​of the Almighty God and the religious attitudes of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Jambi City.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the massive use of social media, especially Instagram among students of the Jambi University Civics Study Program, moreover, Instagram social media is used as a source of political information, especially during the 2019 Presidential Election. The purpose of this research is to test whether there is an influence between communication Political participation through social media Instagram on the level of political participation of students from the Civics Education Study Program at the University of Jambi in the 2019 Presidential Election. This research is an Ex Post Facto study with a quantitative approach which is generally carried out in the Pancasila and Citizenship Education study program at the University of Jambi. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire (questionnaire). Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out using a simple linear regression model with the help of the SPSS version 24 application, it is evident that the variable of political communication through social media Instagram (X) has a significant influence on political participation (Y). The magnitude of the influence between variables in the analysis of political communication through Instagram social media on political participation can be seen from the coefficient of determination R² which is 0.409 meaning that the effective contribution given by political communication through Instagram social media to political participation is 40.9% while the remaining 59.1% is a contribution from other variables outside of the variables studied by researchers.

Abstract

Abstract: The results of the study are the description of the honesty attitude of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Jambi City can be said to be still low. Based on research findings from researcher interviews, not all students are able to apply the value of honesty in Civics learning. It can be seen from the daily tests that many students cheat, and when online, students do assignments and tests and tests at home, it is not necessarily the student who actually does it if it is reflected by the behavior of students at school before going online where when the teacher is off guard they cheat on each other. The conclusion of this study is that if you look at the learning outcomes, from online learning due to the covid-19 pandemic, student learning outcomes are still low, but after students do remedial, student scores can reach the KKM, and add the value of the assignment. However, if the test scores or exam results, on average, there are still many who are below the KKM. This is based on a clarification from a PPKn teacher at SMP Negeri 19 Jambi City. Because there are still many who are below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), so teachers need to add value from assignments, and teachers give tolerance to students, due to the Covid-19 pandemic obstacles that have not been completed during the class promotion exam.

Abstract

The results of the initial observations of researchers during the pandemic period, SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City continued to carry out the teaching and learning process as usual, but by using an online learning system. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of online learning courses during the pandemic covid PPKn-19 in SMP 16 terkhususnya class IX D, F IX and IXG. This research was conducted with a qualitative procedure with data and data sources obtained from informants, namely PPKn teachers who teach in class IX D, IX F and IX G and 2 students in class IX D, 2 students in class IX F and 1 student in class IX G. at SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out, the findings and conclusions of this study are as follows: (1) on the convenience of learning during the pandemic as time goes by, teachers and students have become comfortable and accustomed to online teaching and learning. (2) teachers' digital literacy skills are quite good. (3) the level of adaptation of students to online learning is very good even though there are obstacles but students can overcome them by themselves. (4) the adequacy of the devices used are quite capable, such as cellphones, computers/laptops,applications WhatsApp, Google Classmeet and Google Classroom, although there are still some students who do not have cellphones personal. (5) the internet connection for teachers and some students is adequate because they use facilities Wifi at home and get assistance quota from the government, while some of the other students still use quotas personally and do not get quotas from the government, especially transfer students. (6) the cost of online learning has been fulfilled, both from parents and from the government. (7) The comfort level of the application is very comfortable to use so that students can understand and understand the Civics material delivered by the teacher. (8) online commitment after the pandemic pandemic is not very attractive because teachers and students are more interested in learning offline or face-to-face.

Abstract

One of the problems in this research is the low learning motivation of students at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This is thought to be due to the low level of parental education. To examine this problem, the researcher conducted a study by distributing a questionnaire to selected respondents who were representative of the population at other research sites. This study aims to analyze the educational level of parents and the motivation to study the Civics Education subject for grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Muiaro Jaimbi. The type of research in this research is ex post facto quantitative research. Where this research was conducted to determine the value of the two variables, between the independent variable and the dependent variable. By looking for the effect of this independent variable with the dependent variable. This type of research is used by researchers to find out the influence of the level of parental education on the learning motivation of class XI students in SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi from November 2019 to September 2020. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents (as the main data). After the questionnaire was returned, the data was processed quantitatively using SPSS. The results of the study showed that out of 77 respondents who were selected to fill out a questionnaire, the influence of their parents' education level on the learning motivation of students in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. There are results in the high category of 38.4% of parents' education level and the high category of 37.1% of learning motivation. The conclusion is that after conducting research by distributing research questionnaires to 77 respondents at SMA Neigeri 1 Miuaro Jamibi, students' motivation to learn has high results because of the influence of parental education. Based on the results of the research carried out, it is recommended that it be investigated in other topics of discussion in a wider scope.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the existence of problems at SMAN 2 Muaro Jambi, namely the low learning motivation of students in Class XI IPA 3 SMAN 2 Muaro Jambi. Then the teacher has difficulty in developing teaching materials that can make students interested in learning.The purpose of this research is to develop E-Module-based Civics Education teaching materials on human rights materials and to increase student motivation in class XI SMAN 2 Muaro Jambi.This research is a development research and uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. This study develops Civics teaching materials by giving tests to determine students' learning motivation. The instruments used in this study were a questionnaire on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and linguists, teacher and student responses and student learning motivation questionnaires.Based on the results of research conducted by providing a student learning motivation questionnaire at the end of the learning activity, 28 students were found whose learning motivation increased with a percentage of 81.7% KeywordS : Motivation, e-Module, Human Rights

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the problems that exist in society that show the problem of bad morals of street children. Where street children do not behave in accordance with existing norms, and perform deviant behavior. The purpose of this study was to collect data on how the Social Service of Jambi City in implementing the moral development of street children, as well as the obstacles that hindered the implementation and the efficacy of moral counseling of street children in the Social Service of Jambi City. Using a combination of interviews and documentation, the qualitative data collection method of this study was considered reliable. A descriptive qualitative approach will be used in this study. Moral education for street children is still not well implemented, concludes this research conducted by the Jambi City Social Service. This is indicated by the existence of obstacles in the implementation of guidance both from facilities and infrastructure in the form of facilities, human resources, officers, or repetition of ignoring the rules on street children in the form of going down on the streets. The conclusion in this study is that the implementation of moral guidance for street children at the Jambi City Social Service is still less effective, which is indicated by the obstacles or problems found by researchers, namely the lack of human resources or officers, lack of facilities/facilities, ineffective time to provide guidance, and the lack of public awareness and attention of parents to their children.

Abstract

Based on the results of initial observations that have been made by class VIIIstudents of SMP Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi, it shows several problems regarding studentmotivation in the medium category and student activities in the school environment whichcan be said to be regulations in the form of bringing motorbikes to school, hanging outoutside class when the teacher does not come in, the dishonesty of students whentransacting with traders at school and the class atmosphere is not conducive when theteacher is not in.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the character of the integrityvalue of students to the learning motivation of class VIII students in Civics subjects at SMPNegeri 1 Muaro Jambi.This study uses qualitative data collection methods in the form of observation,questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study weredescriptive and qualitative descriptive statistics. This research was carried out in 3 stages,namely the pre-field stage in October to November 2021, the field work stage in December2021 to January 2022 and the data analysis stage in February to month March 2022. Theinformants in this study consisted of 10 grade VIII students and 2 PPKn teachers.The results of this study indicate that out of 10 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 MuaroJambi, only 2 people have the character of integrity values. These 2 people consist ofstudents with very high learning motivation and students with moderate learningmotivation. The 8 students who do not yet have the character of the complete integrityvalue consist of students who have very high learning motivation, high learning motivationand low learning motivation.The conclusion in this research is that students who have high or even very highmotivation do not rule out the possibility that these students have integrity withinthemselves. This is because students are only pegged to get good grades, so they justifyprohibited methods to get good grades. In addition, the lack of self-awareness of theimportance of a healthy process or struggle in order to get maximum results also makesstudents not care about what they are doing wrong or right.

Abstract

This study aims to find out if there are problems experienced by class XI IPS students at SMAN 8 Jambi City for the 2021/2022 academic year when students experience teaching and learning activities. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 Jambi City on October 17 2022. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to students (as the main data) and interviewing teachers in the field of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (as supporting data). After the questionnaire was returned, the data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively by percentage. The results showed that in the process of teaching and learning activities students did not pay attention when the teacher explained the material due to the lack of teaching materials that made students interested. The average score that did not reach the KKM was 132 or 54% of students and only 112 or 46% of students who reached the KKM. it uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), develops digital pocket book teaching materials for administering tests to determine student learning outcomes. The instruments used in this study were media expert assessment questionnaires, material experts, linguists, teacher and student responses as well as student learning outcomes. Based on the results of research conducted by giving tests in the form of questionnaires on student learning outcomes at the end of the lesson, 28 students obtained complete grades and only 2 students did not complete out of a total of 30 students so that 93% of students achieved KKM. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the digital pocket book teaching materials that have been made can improve student learning so that this digital pocket book teaching material can be used by teachers and students of class XI IPS SMAN 8 Jambi City on PPKn material.
