Abstract

Abstract: Student delays in completing thesis are problems that are always faced by students in the final semester. In the process of education as a student to obtain a bachelor's degree, students will be faced with a thesis final project. Thesiis is a terim usied to define a scientific paper in the form of an explanation of the results of undergraduate researich that diiscusses a proiblem or phenomienon in a partiicular fiield of science by usiing applicable rules. Students who are able to write and compile theses are considered to be able to combine their knowledge and skills in understanding, analyzing, describing, and explaiining problems related to the scientiific field they take. However, ini realiity miany studeints have diifficulty in completing their thesis, so it is not uncommon for studenits to complete theiir thesis beyond the allotted time or more than four years. This study aiims to identifiy and describe the factors that cause studeints to be late in completing their final project (thesis). This research was conducited using qualiitative reseairch methods wiith source analysis techniques and Miles and Hubermen model analysis. The results showed that the factors that caused students to be late in completing their final assignments (thesis) in the Pancasila and Civic Education study program at Jambi University were influenced by two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. The first is the lack of motivation to graduate on time and assumes that writing the thesis is difficult, the second is the individual's self-intelligence (IQ), emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence. The third is external factors, namely the lack of availability of learning resources in libraries such as books, journals, and articles. scientific as a source of reference in the thesis. The fourth factor is the environmental factor of peers or playmates. Another factor that is also a support is the family's economic factor that requires students to work for extra money and also the hard upbringing factor of parents which makes students depressed.

Abstract

This iresearch was motivated by the low learning creativity of class XI TBSM students at SMK Negeri 4 Kerinci which was obtained by 16.90% who were creative in learning. Then the learning model used by the teacher when learning takes place does not have a tendency to improve students' creative thinking skills, students tend to be monotonous, students' knowledge is only limited to what is obtained from the teacher, students have difficulty in developing the knowledge gained from learning and students do not dare to express ideas, ideas or opinions. The purpose of this study is to find out that the inquiry learning model can ncrease the learning creativity of class XI TBSM students on Civics subjects at SMK Negeri 4 Kerinci. The design of this research is action research conducted by the teacher in the classroom. This research procedure is designed for 3 ciycles, where each cycle is carried out in 3 (three) face-to-face meetings. The action design in each cycle in this classroom action research is divided into 4 (four) stages, namel. Based on the results obtained during the implementation of classroom action research, it can be explained that the results of increasing student learning creativity in cycle I in this study showed the average percentage value of student learning creativity was 50%. Then classroom action research was carried out in cycle II where the average value of the percentage of student learning creativity became 64% which means it has increased but has not reached the KKM. Next, classroom action research is carried out in cycle III where the average value of the percentage of student learning creativity increases to 75% . This figure has shown that the average percentage value of student learning creativity has reached the KKM criteria of 75. Then it can be concluded that the application of the inquiry learning model at SMK Negeri 4 Kerinci can increase the learning creativity of class XI TBSM students in Civics.

Abstract

Abstract: The results of the initial observations of this study were the teacher's obstacles in the implementation and learning activities of Civics in grade VII which were accompanied by low student cognitive learning outcomes. This study was conducted with the aim of describing the problems of learning Pancasila and citizenship education for class VII.E at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data and data sources were obtained from informants, namely PPKn teachers who teach in class VII.E and 10 students in class VII.E with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out, the findings and conclusions of the results of this study are as follows: First, on planning activities. The problem that occurs is the difficulty of teachers in preparing RPP in accordance with the principles of RPP preparation. Second, on implementation activities. The problems that occur are a) the teacher has difficulty controlling the condition of class VII.E in the last lesson, b) the ability to understand and think critically of class VII.E students is still low, c) lack of availability of PPKn learning media. Third, on the assessment of learning outcomes. The problems that occur are a) the teacher does not assess attitudes and skills, b) the cognitive learning outcomes of class VII.E students in PPKn subjects

Abstract

One of the problems in this research is the low learning motivation of students at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This is thought to be due to the low level of parental education. To examine this problem, the researcher conducted a study by distributing a questionnaire to selected respondents who were representative of the population at other research sites. This study aims to analyze the educational level of parents and the motivation to study the Civics Education subject for grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Muiaro Jaimbi. The type of research in this research is ex post facto quantitative research. Where this research was conducted to determine the value of the two variables, between the independent variable and the dependent variable. By looking for the effect of this independent variable with the dependent variable. This type of research is used by researchers to find out the influence of the level of parental education on the learning motivation of class XI students in SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi from November 2019 to September 2020. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents (as the main data). After the questionnaire was returned, the data was processed quantitatively using SPSS. The results of the study showed that out of 77 respondents who were selected to fill out a questionnaire, the influence of their parents' education level on the learning motivation of students in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. There are results in the high category of 38.4% of parents' education level and the high category of 37.1% of learning motivation. The conclusion is that after conducting research by distributing research questionnaires to 77 respondents at SMA Neigeri 1 Miuaro Jamibi, students' motivation to learn has high results because of the influence of parental education. Based on the results of the research carried out, it is recommended that it be investigated in other topics of discussion in a wider scope.
