Abstract

Finding jobs for university graduates is becoming more difficult as the number of job opportunities available is not proportional to the number of graduates. This situation is aggravated by the low interest of the Indonesian population in entrepreneurship, which is at roughly 3.1%. This study aims to investigate the effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, creativity, attitude toward entrepreneurship, social media, entrepreneurial culture, and motivation on student’s entrepreneurial intentions. Social media is warranted in the study as the respondents are in the group of millennials. A quantitative method was used. The data analysis employed Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The participants were undergraduate students from universities in Malang City and Surabaya, Indonesia, recruited using an online questionnaire. The research sample included 315 respondents. This study used self-efficacy, creativity, attitude, culture, and motivation as the determinants of student’s entrepreneurial intention. It proposed six hypotheses that reflect the impact of each determinant on entrepreneurial intentions. The study revealed that of the six hypotheses tested, all had a significant impact on explaining the determinants of student’s entrepreneurial intention. Social media is proven to be the catalyst for student entrepreneurial intention. Educated students recognize and assume that social media can help run a business without requiring a large investment. This study also suggests that lecturers' involvement enables students to acquire entrepreneurial skills in classroom learning and organizations. Thus, students with a greater level of entrepreneurial insight will find it easier to foster an entrepreneurial attitude and think more imaginatively to commercialize new ideas in the form of product development before they realize their entrepreneurial potential.

Abstract

This study examines how digital information facilitates communication in the tourism industry to spur innovation in rural communities. Digital platforms have helped Pentingsari Village improve its tourism economy and document its development. This study used content analysis on social media and online reviews to examine Pentingsari Village's change from the New Regime era to the present day. Our research reveals minor alterations in popular perceptions towards village tourism and its effects on local culture and land ownership - effective use of Internet platforms has changed negative perceptions about the tourism industry's exploitation of indigenous land and culture. This approach is viewed as an innovative means of achieving sustainable development while preserving the cultural heritage of local communities and bolstering their economies. This study is a blueprint for how other rural communities can harness similar insights to enhance their well-being. It demonstrates how rural towns can draw inspiration from Pentingsari's utilisation of digital communication to stimulate creativity, showcase their unique attractions, and monitor their progress via digital platforms, which is instrumental in attracting tourists and investors to these areas.

Abstract

Abstract The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation systems in the digital world challenges agricultural extension. This study investigates the contemporary significance of diverse and productive agriculture, specifically focusing on agricultural extension. This study investigates the implementation of agricultural extension services in Indonesia's automation, digital, and adapting environments through a comprehensive review of existing literature. Studies have indicated that agricultural extension plays a crucial role in mitigating climate change. This study assesses the effectiveness of agricultural extension services in different environments in Indonesia through qualitative research methods. Information was gathered by conducting interviews, surveys, and field observations. The results demonstrate the indispensability of agricultural extension in all types of environments, particularly in addressing climate change. It has been ascertained that each environment necessitates distinct educational approaches. Digital environments prioritise acquiring technical knowledge, automation environments necessitate education in sustainable agricultural practices, and adapting environments prioritise integrating field experience and local knowledge. This study provides an extensive review of the functions of agricultural extension. It demonstrates that agricultural extension can combat climate change. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of employing educational methods and approaches tailored to the specific environment, as this will influence the development of agricultural extension education.

Abstract

The constraints of local food development are the lack of derivative products that are easily accepted, accessible to the community and the implementation is not optimal. The purpose of Community-Based empowerment with the scope of Community Partnership Empowerment (PbM-PkM) is to empower the community through partners KWT Teratai and Poktan Kertaraharja III Gunajaya Village, Manonjaya District, Tasikmalaya to increase the diversification of derivative products from Talas Pratama to increase community income. This activity was carried out from May to December 2024. Gunajaya Village is the centre of Talas Pratama producers with productivity/ha around 30-40 tonnes, but most of it is sold raw so that the added value is low. There is an effort to diversify Talas Pratama into several derivative products, but until now it is still constrained by limited knowledge and skilled personnel to process products. This activity uses methods of socialisation, counselling, product processing diversification training, evaluation, grant assistance and mentoring. This activity has had an impact on the socio-economic conditions of the participants in the form of psychological assets, informational assets, organizational assets, material assets, financial assets, and human assets. Partners have produced various taro derivative products including taro flour which is processed into Cilok, Crackers, Bolu, Perkedel
