Abstract

Background: Family is two or more individuals who are joined by blood relations, marital relations or adoption and they live in one household, interact with each other and in their respective roles create and maintain culture. Signs and symptoms of gout are an increase in serum uric acid, severe pain that comes on suddenly, stiff movements, easily tired and lethargic. skin rash, sore throat, decreased appetite, red tongue. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019, 81% of sufferers of Gout Arthritis in Indonesia only 24% went to the doctor. while 71% tend to immediately consume over-the-counter pain relievers. Method: The method used in collecting this data is interview. Case study by carrying out nursing care for 5 days in the family of Mr. A especially Mrs. U by doing non-pharmacological therapy with warm compresses of lemongrass. Purpose: the purpose of doing this warm lemongrass compress is so that pain in the fingers and palms of the patient decreases. Results: After intervention with hot lemongrass compresses for 5 days, the pain was reduced, the patient's uric acid decreased to 4.7, and no tingling was felt. During the intervention, patients were also given education on how to manage their diet and a clean and healthy lifestyle. Conclusion: The conclusion drawn is the importance of regulating diet and maintaining a clean and healthy lifestyle in order to avoid diseases, especially gout.

Abstract

Background: Elderly is a closing period in a person's life span, namely a period when a person has moved from a more useful and productive time. With increasing age, physiological function decreases due to the aging process so that joint disease appears in the elderly. One of the joint diseases in the elderly is gout arthritis. There are two ways to reduce uric acid, pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Non-pharmacological can be done by giving ginger compresses to reduce pain levels. Objective: The purpose of this paper is to determine the effectiveness of ginger compresses to reduce pain levels in the elderly with gout problems. Method: Case study design using nursing care. The case study sample used 1 patient. Results: Based on the implementation results on Mr. S with the application of ginger compress therapy for 7 days the pain scale decreased, the first and second days a pain scale of 5, on the third and fourth days a pain scale of 4, on the fifth and sixth days a pain scale of 2 and on the seventh day a pain scale of 1 with uric acid levels on day the first was 8 mg/dl and on the seventh day the uric acid level was 7.3 mg/dl, so a nursing diagnosis of chronic pain, it can be concluded that there is a change towards improvement, this shows the effect of giving ginger compresses on reducing pain levels.

Abstract

Background: The results of a survey by the United Nation International Children Found (UNICEF, 2019), the most common diseases in the elderly are non-communicable diseases, including hypertension, joint disease, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, stroke, and Gout Arthritis. This can happen considering that the elderly have a declining body work system and there are still many poor lifestyles, eating patterns, and sleep patterns in the elderly, sleep pattern disturbances are a problem that often occurs in the elderly. There are two ways to treat sleep disorders, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Non-pharmacological can be done with SEFT (Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique) complementary therapy to improve sleep quality. Purpose: the purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of nursing care for Gout Arthritis patients who experience sleep pattern disturbances with the SEFT intervention on sleep quality. Method: case study design using nursing care. The case study sample used 1 patient. Results: based on the implementation results on Tn.S with the application of SEFT therapy for 7 days, data were obtained on the first day of the PSQI scale, namely 23 (≥5, meaning poor sleep quality), then on day 7 it dropped to a PSQI score of 14 (moderate sleep quality). it can be concluded that with changes towards improvement, this indicates the effect of SEFT (Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique) therapy on sleep quality in elderly patients with Gout Arthritis.

Abstract

Gout or gout arthritis is a disease associated with high levels of uric acid in the blood. There are two ways to reduce uric acid, pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Non-pharmacological can be done by giving pineapple juice Pineapple has a very high vitamin C content, pineapple also has a very good vitamin C content. This vitamin works by helping the system associated with the kidneys to excrete more uric acid. Besides that, it is also useful for keeping purines from being produced into uric acid. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of nursing care for gout arthritis patients in reducing uric acid levels by administering pineapple juice. Method: Case study design using nursing care. This case study sample used 1 patient who was intervened for 7 days. Results: based on the implementation results on Mr. J by applying pineapple juice for 7 days, data on uric acid levels were obtained in Mr. J on the third day it decreased from 8.3 mg/dl to 8.0 mg/dl and uric acid levels on the 7th day were 7.3 mg/dl. So that the diagnosis of health maintenance is not effectively resolved and it can be concluded that there is a change, this shows the effect of giving pineapple juice in reducing uric acid levels.

Abstract

Background: Cholesterol is a condition where the amount of blood cholesterol exceeds normal limits. Cholesterol is one of the indicators in blood vessels and is a top priority in the management of health problems in developed and developing countries. The cause of cholesterol is unhealthy food intake, such as consuming high fat, low fruit and vegetable consumption, obesity, low physical activity, hypertension, stress, smoking, and alcohol use. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of nursing care for cholesterol patients in lowering cholesterol levels by administering red guava juice. Method: Case study design using nursing care. This case study sample used 1 patient who was intervened for 7 days. Results: based on the results of implementation on Ny. M with the application of guava juice for 7 days obtained data on cholesterol levels in Ny. M on the third day decreased from 288 mg/dl to 199 mg/dl and cholesterol levels on the 7th day 190 mg/dl. So that the diagnosis of acute pain is resolved and it can be concluded that there is a change, this shows the effect of giving guava juice in lowering cholesterol levels

Abstract

Background: Families with adult children or discharge are the stages that begin when the first child leaves the house. Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal which can result in morbidity and mortality. The estimated number of cases of hypertension in Indonesia is 63.309.620 people, while the death rate in Indonesia due to hypertension is 427.218 deaths. Hypertension gymnastics is a sport that one of the aims is to increase blood flow and oxygen supply to the active muscles and skeleton, especially to the heart muscle, so that it can help reduce blood pressure in people with hypertension. Objective: to determine the effect of hypertension exercise to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Method: by way of interviews and nursing care. Results: The case study was obtained after the client was given hypertension exercise therapy to reduce blood pressure in Mrs. K with significant results, where there was a decrease in blood pressure from 184/94mmHg to 140/80mmHg. Conclusion: Hypertension exercise has an effect on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients.

Abstract

Background: The family is the smallest unit in society which is the entry point in an effort to achieve optimal public health. The family is also referred to as a social system. Hypertension can be defined as persistent blood pressure where the systolic pressure is above 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is above 90 mmHg. Hypertension almost affects 26% of the adult neurological population worldwide, even by 2025, it is projected that 29% of the world's population (1.56 billion adults) will have hypertension. Data from WHO in 2013 showed that there are 9.4 million people in the world every year. Tomato juice as a non-pharmacological therapy or herbal as an alternative treatment of high blood disease. Tomatoes are fruits that contain lots of potassium, potassium can also affect the angiotensinogen renin system as an inhibitor of production. Objective: to know the intervention of tomato juice to lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Methods: by means of interviews, assessments and nursing care actions. Results: Case study obtained after clients were given nonpharmacological therapy tomato juice in Mrs. S significant results, where there was a decrease in blood pressure from 150/90mmHg to 120/80 mmHg. Conclusion: Tomato juice has an effect on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a health problem characterized by an increase in blood glucose levels that has a systemic impact. Diabetes mellitus is a family health problem because its prevalence continues to increase and causes high mortality. The family as a subsystem that is the goal of public health care has a duty to maintain the health of its members, including the management of diabetes mellitus in the family. The purpose of writing is to provide an overview of providing family nursing care with the intervention of giving soursop leaf boiled water to lower blood glucose. The method used with the family nursing care process which consists of assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The results show that family nursing problems that arise are ineffective family health management, the risk of unstable blood glucose levels, and sleep pattern disturbances. The implementation results show that giving soursop leaf boiled water can reduce blood glucose levels in people with diabetes mellitus from 210 mg/dL before the intervention to 180 mg/dL after three days of giving soursop leaf boiled water. Suggestion nurses can facilitate families to provide soursop leaf decoction water therapy to lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Introduction at Hypertension is a non-communicable disease which is a family health problem because it causes adverse effects. The family as a subsystem that is the goal of public health care has a duty to maintain the health of its members, including the management of hypertension in the family. The purpose of writing is to provide an overview of providing family nursing care with foot massage interventions to reduce blood pressure in hypertension. The method used with the family nursing care process which consists of assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The results show that family nursing problems that arise are pain, ineffective family health maintenance, and sleep pattern disturbances. The implementation results show that foot massage therapy can reduce pain and reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients from 180/90 mmHg to 150/85 mmHg after three days of foot massage therapy. Nurses can provide foot massage exercises to family members to deal with hypertension in providing family nursing care.
