Abstract

The actualization of the commitment of the Muslim University of Indonesia (UMI) that caresabout the environment is manifested by the efforts of community development in the village ofPampang located adjacent to the campus of UMI, conducted through the application of technology.The objectives of the technology implementation activities are (1) to provide training to womenreligious groups (Majelis Taklim) in Pampang on environmental hygiene, sorting and processingwaste for composting for vegetable cultivation; (2) provide vegetable training and skills byVerticulture system to womens religious groups (Majelis Taklim) in Pampang so that communitygroups become more economically independent. The two types of activities are the main activitiesgiven to womens religious groups (Majelis Taklim) to utilize their free time. Both types ofactivities received positive responses from the trainees and the accompaniment reflected in theirattendance and antuasiame responses in each meeting. Organic waste processing activities need tobe increased into business scale which will also increase the family income and also support theMakassar city government program.

Abstract

are targeted to serve the people who live in Borikamase Village. The village of Borikamase is amilkfish producing village that is sold in fresh condition without processing to the local market orsent to other places in the vicinity. This potential needs to be developed into a business of milkfishpresto. The purpose of this activity is to provide skills: (1) read the Quran correctly, eloquently,and in accordance with the makhraj to the partner groups; (2) management of religious group(Majlis Taklim) systematically; (3) good presto fish processing method.The expected output targets of this activity are the literate and correct literacy skills of the Quran;the increasing management of the Majelis Taklim and the business establishment of a group ofPresto milkfish production. It is expected that partners can produce quality Presto fish products interms of product durability, taste, and packaged and hygienic, then partners become independent inthe business management of presto milkfish.

Abstract

Youth Organization (Karang Taruna) is a forum for the development of nonpartisan young people,who grow on the basis of awareness and sense of social responsibility from, by and for thecommunity, especially the younger generation in Borikamase Village, Kecamatan Maros Baru,Maros Regency. The youth organization is engaged in social welfare, helping to prepare youth inefforts to create jobs and the ability to manage businesses. Duck farming is one of the businessesthat are in demand in Borikamase Village. The location of the village is in the swamp area, so it isvery potential to cultivate laying ducks. In addition, the community's need for eggs is also veryhigh, as a source of protein. The objectives of the activity are (1) to form and developeconomically independent partners in Borikamase Village (2) The provision of training andcounseling in the form of youth management management theory. The results of the activityconcluded that this activity received a positive response from the training and mentoringparticipants reflected in the attendance response of Karang Taruna members in each meeting andtheir enthusiasm in participating in the competition held.

Abstract

Availability of pepper seeds continuously, good quality, and free from stem rot disease is still limited at the farmer level. This study aims to determine the composition of the planting medium and the best concentration of organic fertilizers in spurring pepper seeds' growth. The study was compiled using a two-factor factorial design based on a randomized block design. The first factor is the media's composition for planting sand, compost, and soil in 5 levels, namely 1:0:1, 1:1:0, 1:1:1, 1:2:1, and 2:1:1. The second factor is applying liquid organic fertilizer (POC), made from forage. It consists of three levels of concentration, namely POC 10 ml, 20 ml, and without POC (control). Fifteen treatment combinations were repeated three times. The results showed that the combination of POC and the composition of the planting medium could stimulate pepper seedlings' growth. POC 20 ml/liter and the composition of the media of sand + compost + soil 1:1:0 and 1:1:1 resulted in the best shoot lengths, namely 13.91 cm and 13.23 cm, respectively. The planting medium of sand + compost + soil with a composition of 1:1:1 was able to spur the emergence time of pepper cuttings faster, namely 19.13 days after planting, and the number of leaves was higher, namely 5.40.

Abstract

Desa Sanrobone merupakan desa Mitra Binaan Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) dan menjadi daerah pengembangan cabai rawit di Kabupaten Takalar, Sulawesi Selatan. Produksi cabai rawit di daerah ini mengandalkan penggunaan pupuk kimia dan pestisida kimia dosis tinggi  pada tanaman cabai rawit hibrida. Jenis cabai hibrida membutuhkan pupuk dengan dosis yang tinggi untuk dapat berproduksi secara optimal. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada kegiatan ini yaitu penerapan teknologi budidaya cabai rawit semi-organik untuk mencapai peningkatan produksi cabai rawit dan menjaga kualitas lahan petani. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa: (1) Transfer  teknologi Budidaya cabai rawit semi-organik melalui pengurangan dosis pupuk kimia dan disubtitusi dengan penggunaan pupuk organik/Bokashi; (2)  Penanaman  cabai  bukan  hanya  di  lahan  pertanian/sawah melainkan juga di pekarangan kelompok mitra menggunakan polybag; (3) Pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan pupuk organik berupa kompos yang dimanfaatkan pada budidaya tanaman cabai rat. Metode yang digunakan pada Program Pengembangan Desa Mitra (PPMD) ini berupa partisipasi aktif (pemberdayaan) masyarakat melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penanaman cabai rawit pada lahan petani. Hasil yang dicapai dari program ini diharapkan dapat mengubah pola pikir masyarakat  terutama petani dalam budidaya cabai rawit semi-organik.  Kata kunci: Pengembangan desa mitra, cabai rawit semi-organik.  ABSTRACT Sanrobone Village is a the Partner Village of the Indonesian Muslim University and is an area for the development of chilli pepper in Takalar District, South Sulawesi. The production of chilli pepper in this area relies on the use of high-dose of chemical fertilizers and pesticides on hybrid crops. The hybrid crops requires high doses of fertilizer to produce optimally. The objectives to be achieved in this study are the application of semi-organic chilli pepper cultivation technology to achieve increased production of chilli pepper and maintain the quality of farmers' land. The solutions offered are: (1) technology transfer Cultivation of semi-organic chilli pepper through the reduction of chemical fertilizer doses and substituted with the use of organic fertilizer / Bokashi; (2) Chili cultivation not only in agricultural / paddy fields but also in the yard of partner groups using polybags; (3) Training and assistance in making organic fertilizer (compost) which is used in the cultivation of chilli pepper. The method used in this Program is development of active participation (empowerment) of the community through training and assistance in the cultivation of chilli pepper on the field. In addition, a comparison was also made between production of the chili pepper cultivation using chemical fertilizers (inorganic) with semi-organic chilli pepper cultivation. The results achieved from this program expected can change the mindset of the village people, especially the farmers  in semi-organic chilli pepper cultivation. Keywords: Partner village development, chilli pepper, semi-organic.

Abstract

This research was carried out at the Darul Mukhlisin Islamic Boarding School in Padang Lampe, Muslim University of Indonesia, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi, which took place from March to September 2019. The study was aimed at analyzing the effect of the composition of N: P: K on the growth of pepper seedlings, analyzing the effect of the concentration of Organic Fertilizers Liquid (POC) on the growth of pepper seedlings, analyzing the interaction between giving the composition of N: P: K and giving POC on the growth of pepper seedlings. This research was compiled using a Randomized Group Design (RBD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the composition of N: P: K consisting of: N: PK 1 : 0 : 0 / plant, N: P: K 1 : 1 : 1 / plant, N: P: K 2 : 1 : 1 / plant and N : P: K  2 :1 : 2 / plant. The second factor is the concentration of Liquid Organic Fertilizer consisting of no POC, POC 0.05% / liter of water, POC 0.10% / liter of water and POC 0.15% / liter of water. The results showed that the best effect on the use of the composition N: P: K on the length of the shoot, number of leaves and leaf area of pepper seedlings. The use of liquid organic fertilizer concentration of 0.10% / liter of water gives the best effect on shoot length, number of shoots, and number of leaves and leaf area, and there are significant interactions between the composition factors of N: P: K and POC concentration on the shoot length variable of pepper seedling growth.

Abstract

The Pamukkulu watershed is one of the Jeneberang-Kelara Sub-watersheds, which is one of the 108 Priority Watersheds in Indonesia determined based on the 2017 Ministry of Environment and Forestry Performance Report which is prioritized as a location for Forest and Land Rehabilitation activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze changes in land cover in the Pamukkulu watershed in 2008 and 2017, the effect of land cover changes in the Pamukkulu watershed on fluctuations in major river flows and analyze the health level of the Pamukkulu watershed based on analysis of major river discharge and changes in land cover. The study was conducted in February to April 2018. Data collection was carried out by taking secondary data in the form of land cover data in 2008 and 2017, climate data and Pamukkulu River discharge data. The results showed that based on the results of the analysis of the Land Cover Index (IPL), the condition of Pamukkulu watershed land cover in 2008 was at 19.38% and 16.96% in 2017 so that it was categorized as bad. The results of the hydrological analysis (river water discharge) on the River Regime Coefficient in 2008 were 125 and in 2017 amounted to 119.6 so that the KRS is also categorized as bad. While the results of the analysis of the Variant Coefficient (CV) in 2008 amounted to 144.90% and in 2017 amounted to 87.5% then the CV was categorized as poor. Based on the analysis of the value of the Land Cover Index, River Regime Coefficient and River Regime Coefficient in the Pamukkulu Watershed in 2008 and 2017 which are in the poor category, the performance of the Pamukkulu Watershed is in the poor category.

Abstract

Red chili plant a bush-shaped plant and is widely used as a flavor enhancer in food spicy. Demand for the chili continue to increase in line with population growth. This research was conducted at the location of Farmers Group Source Rezeki, Toddopulia Village, District Tanralili Maros which lasts from March to June 2016. This study aims to analyze the effect of the concentration and frequency of urine sapii applications on the growth and yield of curly red pepper. This study was conducted using a randomized block design with factorial 2 factors. The first factor is the treatment of cow urine concentration consisting of three levels ie 20 ml / liter of water, 40 ml / liter of water, and 60 ml / liter of water. The second factor is the frequency of application of cow urine which consists of two levels ie 2 weeks and 4 weeks. The results showed that the concentration of 40 ml / liter of water and frequency of fertilizer application of cow urine in 2 weeks give better effect on the growth and yield of chilli curls with the highest plant height of 85.83 cm, the number of branches stalk 44.42, the fastest flowering age 46 02 days, the number of fruit per plant fruit 143.62, weighs 625.42 grams of fruits per plant and fruit production per hectare of 11.47 tonnes.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to find out type of organic fertilizer and urea doses to improve the yield of celery. The experiment was arranged using Randomized Block Design with factorial design.The first factor were cow manure, compost and chicken manure and the second factor were urea dosage 240 kg/ha, 270 kg/ha and 300 kg/ha.The results showed that organic fertilizer treatment in the form of chicken manure and urea 300 kg/ha resulted in plant height, leaf number, number of tillers, root volume and wet weight in celery were highst. The highest number of tillers was 6.27 plants and wet weight 14.69 g per plant.

Abstract

This research aims to 1) get the best effect of organic kascing fertilizer on growth and production of tomato plants. 2) Getting the best concentration of Lestari Green liquid organic fertilizer on growth and production of tomato plants. 3) Obtain a combination of organic kascing fertilizer dosage and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer Lestari Green on growth and production of tomato plants. This research was conducted from January to April 2017 in Sudiang  Biringkanaya district., Makassar City, South Sulawesi, design with a  two factor randomized block design was observed, the dose of kascing fertilizer consisted of 4 levels: control  0  , 5 tons / ha, 7.5 tons / ha and 10 tons. The liquid organic fertilizer factor consists of 4 levels: Control, 5cc / L water, 10 cc / L water, 15 cc / L water. The results showed that 1) The use of  Kascing organic fertilizer with a dose of 10 tons / ha gives the best effect of average height of plants that is 46.04 cm, the fastest flowering age of 31.14 days, productive branches as much as 2.30, the number of fruit tebanyak is 28.28 plant, 1.69 kg of plantation, and fruit / hectare production of 11.11 ton / hectare, 2) The use of Lestari Green liquid organic fertilizer with concentration of 15 cc / L water gives the best influence on the average of good plant height that is 43.01 cm, the fastest flowering age of 31.69 day, productive branch as much as 2.23, fruit weight as much as 1.65 kg of crop, weight of fruit per plot of 6.03 kg and fruit / hectare production of 41.86 tons / hectare, 3) Combination of organic fertilizer treatment of kascing and liquid organic fertilizer Lestari Green which can improve growth and increase the production of tomato plants is the treatment of organic fertilizer kascing 10 tons / hectare and concentration p liquid organic fertilizer Lestari Green 15 cc / L water on parameter Number of leaves and number of fruit.
