Abstract

Writing is one of the basic skills of the English language. It is usually considered one of the most difficulty skill than other skills of foreign language students. Even native speakers feel difficulty in showing good command of writing. In writing, the students need to acquire those first ideas to make sure what they want to write. They have to write about what they think in their mind and state it on paper by using the correct rules. In this research researcher use problem based learning method in teaching writing. The objective of this research to investigate the influence of problem based learning on the studnts’ writing skill in hortatory exposition text at eleventh grade of SMA Saidiyah Arosbaya. In conducting data, the researcher used quasi- experimental design. The population of this research was eleventh grade of SMA Saidiyah Arosbaya and sample were XI IPS 1 as experimental class and XI IPS 2 as control class. The result of this research based on the analysis data of Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) test from SPSS 17.0, the result of ANCOVA test from p-value was 0.035. It was less than the level of significant (0,05). If p-value<from the level of significant (0,05). It showed that the alternative hypothesis (Ha)was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Vitamin C atau asam askorbat merupakan salah satu vitamin yang diperlukan oleh tubuh yang berfungsi membantu proses metabolisme tubuh. Vitamin C  berperan dalam pembentukan kolagen interseluler. Pengukuran kadar vitamin C penting dilakukan, salah satunya dengan menggunakan metode spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Tujuan: Mengetahui kadar vitamin C pada cabai merah (Capsicum annum L.). Metode: Jenis penelitian secara deskriptif eksperimental menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 200-300 nm. Sampel penelitian ini adalah cabai merah yang ditentukan secara random sampling. Hasil: Kadar vitamin C yang diperoleh sebesar 4,463 ppm dan prosentase yang didapat sebesar 0,4463 % b/b. Simpulan dan saran: Hasil menunjukkan bahwa cabai merah (Capsicum annum L.) memiliki kadar vitamin C sebesar 4,463 ppm dan 0,4463 % b/b. Perlu dilakukan uji vitamin C (asam askorbat) pada cabai dengan jenis dan varietas yang berbeda untuk dibandingkan kandungan vitamin C terbesarnya.

Abstract

Reading is one of the inseparable foundations of literacy activities that children have. This study aims to describe the implementation of literacy-based learning at SD Negeri 4 Pecangaan and review the efforts made by the school and teachers in fostering the reading interest of students. This research method is descriptive qualitative with a type of case study. The subjects of the study were students of grade 6 of SD Negeri 4 Pecangaan. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that SD Negeri 4 Pecangaan has implemented literacy-based learning that is shown by the school's efforts in providing infrastructure that supports students' reading interests such as reading corner rooms in each class, library rooms, as well as the application of literacy-based learning models conducted by teachers as an innovation step in fostering students' reading interests Implementation of literacy-based learning models includes introductory, smelting, intra-integration, extra-integration, storage, reminder and communication activities.

Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi adalah kemampuan berpikir menggunakan konsep, prosedur, fakta dan alat matematika untuk menyelesaikan masalah sehari-hari pada berbagai jenis konteks yang relevan. Konteks lingkungan lahan basah dihadirkan sebagai dunia nyata untuk mengukur kemampuan numerasi mahasiswa calon guru matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses perngembangan instrumen tes kemampuan numerasi mahasiswa calon guru matematika dengan konteks lingkungan lahan basah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Dick & Carey. Model ini terdiri atas enam tahapan yang dimulai dengan analisis tujuan, analisis subjek, pengembangan produk, validasi, ujicoba, serta revisi untuk menghasilkan produk yang valid. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur validitas produk adalah lembar validasi ahli. Hasil validasi kemudian dianalisis secara kuantiataif beradasarkan skor dari setiap aspek validasi dan secara kualitatif dengan memperhatikan saran perbaikan yang diberikan. Hasil pengembangan berupa instrumen tes numerasi yang terdiri atas 12 soal dengan sebaran proses kognitif, konten, serta konteks beragam. Instrumen tersebut dikembangkan sesuai dengan tahapan pengembangan produk dan termasuk dalam kategori cukup valid dengan skor validitas rata-rata yakni 74%. Kata kunci: numerasi, instrumen tes, lingkungan lahan basah, mahasiswa calon guru, valid Abstract: Numerical ability is the ability to think using concepts, procedures, facts and mathematical tools to solve everyday problems in various types of relevant contexts. The context of the wetland environment is presented as a real world to measure the numeracy skills of prospective mathematics teacher students. The purpose of this study was to describe the process of developing a numeracy ability test instrument for prospective mathematics teacher students in the context of a wetland environment. This research is development research with the development model used is Dick & Carey. This model consists of six stages starting with objective analysis, subject analysis, development process, validation, testing, and revision to produce a valid product. The instrument used to measure product validity is an expert validation sheet. The results of the validation were then analyzed quantitatively based on the scores from each aspect of the validation and qualitatively by considering the suggestions for improvement. The results of the development are in the form of a numeration test instrument consisting of 12 questions with a variety of cognitive processes, content, and contexts. The instrument was developed in accordance with the stages of product development and was included in the fairly valid category with an average validity score of 74%. Keywords: numeration, test instrument, wetland environment, student teacher candidates, valid

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia has not reached the expected number (<80%) that mothers stop breastfeeding due to lack of milk production, for this reason, giving long bean leaves has the potential to stimulate oxytocin and prolactin hormones such as alkaloids, saponins, polyphenols, steroids, flavonoids and other substances. the most effective in increasing and smoothing the production of breast milk. This study aims to determine the effect of consumption of long bean leaves on mother's milk production. This study is a quasi- experimental study with a random cluster design pretest and posttest. This research was conducted in the Sungai Clear Village, Muara Curb District, Tebo Regency, which was carried out on February 17 - March 5, 2022. The population in this study were all breastfeeding mothers who lived in Sungai Clear Village, Muara Rab District, Tebo Regency, as many as 32 people. The sample in this study were 32 people who were taken by total sampling technique. Collecting data by observing breast milk production. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using Wilcoxon statistical test. The results showed that there is an effect of consumption of long bean leaves on mother's milk production in Sungai Jernih Village, Muara Tabir District, Tebo Regency in 2022 with a p value of 0.000. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide information to health workers, especially midwives, in increasing breast milk production by providing counseling to breastfeeding mothers and recommending consuming long bean leaves as a method with ingredients that are easily available and not harmful to maternal health.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara keaktifan mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dengan sikap bela negara siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional yang dilakukan di SMPN 1 Gedangan Sidoarjo dengan populasi 336 orang siswa dan diambil sampel sebanyak 77n orang siswa. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan wawancara. Untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan dua variabel yaitu hubungan keaktifan mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan sikap bela negara sisa digunakan rumus korelasi product moment dari Karl Pearson. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara keaktifan mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dengan sikap bela negara sebesar 0.800 yang berarti memiliki hubungan tinggi. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa semakin tinggi keaktifan mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka maka semakin tinggi pula sikap bela negara siswa. pembentukan sikap bela negara siswa pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka melalui teori dan praktek. siswa diberikan teori oleh pembina Pramuka, setelah pemberian teori selesai, siswa akan diberikan kesempatan untuk mempraktekkan apa yang dipraktekkan sebelumnya.Kata Kunci : Keaktifan, Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka, Bela Negara AbstractThis study aimed at analyzing the correlation between the activeness of following Scouts extracurricular activities and the Students attitude of state defence. This research used a quantitative approach with the correlational design conducted in Junior High Scool 1 Gedangan Sidoarjo with a population of 336 students and 77 of them were taken as a samples. the data were collected by using questionairre and interview. To know the relationship of two variables between the activeness of following Scouts extracurricular acvitities and the Students attitude of state defence, the researcher used the Karl Pearson product-moment correlation. The result showed that there is a relationship between the activiness of following Scouts extracurricular activities with Students attitude of state defence by the score 0,800 which means having a high correlation. This means that the higher the activeness of following Scouts extracurricular activities is the higher the Students attitude of state defence will be the estabilishing of the Students attitude of state defence in Scouts extracurricular activities was conducted through theory and practice. Abstract

Hasil observasi membuktikan bahwa banyak siswa kelas XI di SMAN 1 Gondanglegi mengalami kesulitan saat belajar persamaan trigonometri. Kesulitan siswa belajar akan menyebabkan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa SMA kelas XI dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan trigonometri menggunakan analisis kesalahan Watson. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: 1) siswa tidak mengenal beberapa simbol matematika dalam persamaan trigonometri dengan baik, 2) siswa tidak dapat menyebutkan apa yang ditanyakan pada soal dengan tepat, 3) siswa tidak mengerti maksud simbol-simbol yang ada pada materi persamaan trigonometri, 4) siswa tidak dapat memilih rumus penyelesaian persamaan trigonometri dengan tepat kerena tidak ingat, 5) siswa dengan kemampuan rendah menuliskan proses penyelesaian yang tidak sesuai dengan penyelesaian persamaan trigonometri, 6) siswa tidak melanjutkan langkah menyelesaikan persamaan trigonometri yang diberikan dengan lengkap, 7) siswa sudah menggunakan operasi yang tepat tetapi tidak dapat menyelesaikan operasi dengan akurat, 8) siswa menuliskan jawaban akhir yang tidak sesuai dengan jawaban yang benar atau menuliskan jawaban akhir yang tidak lengkap, 9) siswa memberikan jawaban yang salah dalam tes keseluruhan kelas tapi memberikan jawaban yang benar pada saat wawancara.

Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of body image and self-acceptance on the mental health of adolescents in sub-districts as wide as the city of Bengkulu. This research uses quantitative methods, the data collection technique is by distributing a questionnaire with 30 items distributed. The samples studied were teenagers in sub-districts as wide as the city of Bengkulu. Data collection was 101 respondents. This research was analyzed using quantitative analysis using spps 22 by testing regression, correlation, normality test, reliability test, and R square. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the influence of body image and self-acceptance on the mental health of adolescents in sub-districts as wide as the city of Bengkulu is in the weak category, namely 26.7%.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of stress coping and self-esteem on the mental health of adolescents at the Darusalam Foundation in Bengkulu City. This research uses quantitative methods, the data collection technique is by distributing a questionnaire of 30 items. The samples studied were teenagers at the Darusalam Foundation, Bengkulu City. Data were collected from 107 respondents. This research was analyzed using quantitative analysis using SPSS by testing correlation regression, normality test, reliability test and R Square. Based on the results of this study, it shows the influence of stress coping and self-esteem on the mental health of teenagers at the Darusallam Foundation, Bengkulu City. is in the weak category, namely 28.3%.

Abstract

This article aims to examine how much influence interest in learning and the quality of peer friendship on self-concept in high school / vocational students of the same level in Pondok Kelapa District, Central Bengkulu Regency. The population in this study was adolescents in SMA/SMK sub-district of Pondok Kelapa, Central Bengkulu. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The sample in this study was 130 high school / vocational students as respondents. The type of data collection used in this study is a Likert scale questionnaire or using questionnaire survey techniques by distributing targets to respondents, as many as 30 statements consisting of 10 statements from self-concept indicators, 10 statements from learning minar indicators and 10 statements from peer friendship quality indicators. The analysis techniques used are Data Normality Test, Reality Test, Correlations Test, Descriptive Statistics Test, Model Summary Test, and Anova Test thus testing is carried out testing is carried out using. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the interest in learning and the quality of peer friendship affect the self-concept of high school / vocational students in Pondok Kelapa district, Central Bengkulu district. The influence of learning interest and friendship quality on self-concept reached 16.7%, while the remaining 83.3% was influenced by other variables.
