Method: This research is descriptive analytical with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all  restaurant workers in the Batoh Community Health Center working area, totaling 55 workers. Sampling was carried out using the random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by interviews from 18 to 22 January 2021. The statistical test used was the chi square test using the SPSS 23 computer program. Results: The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p value=0.011) and length of service (p value=0.003). And there is no relationship between training (p value=0.343) and personal hygiene among restaurant workers. Recommendation: It is recommended that puskesmas officers can increase counselingr and training about personal hygiene for restaurant workers  and the community in the Batoh Puskesmas working area so that they can increase public’s knowledge of the importance of maintaining personal hygiene.

Abstract

Background:  The Global Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) commitment targets reducing the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) to 102 per 100,000 live births by 2015, followe by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) setting a new target of 70 per 100,000 live births in 2030. For a decade or ten years of observations of maternal mortality trends in North Aceh Regency  still show fluctuations. Method: This study examines the relationship between socio-cultural factors and cases of maternal death. Qualitative research by conducting (1) in-depth interviews with 10 key informants, namely midwives who provide services; (2) Focus Group Discussion with Puskesmas Management and Program Responsible Persons on maternal death case audit activities; (3) Documentation study of the track record of maternal deaths in the decade period 2013-2022. Result: The results shows that there is a downward trend although fluctuations of increase and decrease still occur within a decade of observation. The main immediate causes are due to bleeding and hypertension in pregnancy, the predominant place of death is in the hospital. The characteristics of multiparity mothers, ‘4 too’ pregnancies and delays in recognizing problems and making decisions indicate that socio-cultural factors are very influential on maternal mortality in North Aceh. Recommendation: Innovation is needed to reconstruct socio-cultural disadvantages such as late decisions making and the ideal number of children in a family.

Abstract

Averrhoa bilimbi/Bilimbi leaf extract has anti-inflammatory activity in several studies. Development of bilimbi leaf extracts ointment can maximize anti-inflammatory therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the phytochemical compounds and evaluate bilimbi leaf extract ointment. Method: The leaf compounds examined by phytochemical screening and ointment tests were for their physical properties including pH, organoleptic, and dispersive tests. The organoleptic test and pH test were analyzed descriptively. Spreadability data were analyzed using Kruskal Wallis. Results: Qualitative analysis of bilimbi leaf extract showed a positive reactions of alkaloids to Mayer, Wagner, and Dragendorff, steroids, flavonoids, phenols, terpenoids, and saponins.Meanwhile leaf do not contain tannins. Organoleptic test showed the green ointment with a distinctive aroma of leaves. The pH of the leaves is classified as weakly acidic, close to neutral, which is 5-6. The spreadability of the ointment was not significantly different based on the Kruskal Wallis test. Conclusion: The resulting ointment is predominantly green in color and the ointment formulation has no different in dispersion.

Abstract

Background: Kadarzi (Nutrition Aware Families are families with balanced nutritional behavior that who are able to recognize, prevent and overcome nutritional problems in every member of their family. Families are said to have good Kadarzi behavior if they have implemented the five Kadarzi indicators, weigh themselves regularly, give exclusive breastfeeding, eat a variety of foods, use iodized salt and consume nutritional supplement. The national target for nutrition-conscious families is 80%. Reubee Community Health Center, of the five indicators of Kadarzi, two indicators that have not reached the target are exclusive breastfeeding (75%) and the indicator of using iodized salt is only 12%. Methods: This research is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional design. Univariate and bivariate data analysis with Chi Square test. Results: Research showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p value=0.001), family income (p value=0.004), with levels of Kadarzi behavior of mothers with toddlers and there was no relationship between husband's support (p value=0.288) and the behavior of Kadarzi of toddlers mothers. Recomendation: To the Reubee Health Centers staffs to be able to increase counseling activities about the importance of implementing the Nutrition Awareness-Family for mothers of toddlers in the working area of Community Health Centers, in order to increase their knowledge of toddlers nutritional healt.

Abstract

Background: Chromolaena odorata leaves have been used by the people of Aceh Besar as traditional medicine. The chemical compounds from the leaves of this plant act as antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and wound healers. The aim of the research was to determine the phytochemical content of C. odorata leaves using qualitative methods. Methods: The extraction method used is maceration and testing of bioactive compounds using a color test. The results showed that the yield percentage is 6.05%. Result: The results of the analysis of phytochemical compounds obtained seven phytochemical compounds contained in C. odorata, namely flavonoids, phenolics, alkaloids, terpenoids, saponins, steroids, and tannins. Recommendation: It is recommended to identify chemical compounds using the GC-MS test to obtain specific compounds that play an active anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial role.
