Abstract

Abstrak:Kabupaten Takalar berkontribusi terhadap tingginya angka stunting di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Salah satu Desa yang cukup tinggi adalah Desa Palalakkang, Kecamatan Galesong. Berdasarkan survey awal bahwa kelompok ibu memiliki kecenderungan kurang memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mencegah stunting. Tujuan   pengabdian   kepada   masyarakat   ini   adalah   untuk meningkatkan gizi anak sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting melalui pembuatan MP-ASI berbahan pangan lokal yaitu ikan mairo. Metode sosialisasi dalam bentuk interaktif dialog dan demonstrasi membuat makanan tambahan MP-ASIuntuk mencegah stunting yang kaya gizi dan mudah diolah.  Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta dengan 51% mengenai stunting dan pengolahan makanan tambahan berbahan lokal. Setelah kegiatan dilakukan, dapat dilihat bahwa terdapat perubahan perilaku peserta dalam mengolah dan memilih makanan tambahan untuk anak dalam mencegah stunting. Abstract: Takalar Regency contributes to the high stunting rate in South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. One of the villages that is quite high is Palalakkang Village, Galesong District. Based on the initial survey that the group of mothers have a tendency to lack knowledge and skills in preventing stunting.  The purpose of this community service is to improve children's nutrition as an effort to prevent stunting through the manufacture of MP-breast milk made from local food, namely mairo fish. Socialization methods in the form of interactive dialogues and demonstrations make mp-breast milk supplemental foods to prevent stunting that is rich in nutrients and easy to process.  This activity succeeded in increasing participants' knowledge with 51% about stunting and processing additional food made from local materials. After the activity, it can be seen that there is a change in participants' behavior in processing and choosing additional food for children in preventing stunting.

Abstract

Abstrak: Angka kejadian Stunting di Indonesia, khususnya di Sulawesi Selatan kian meningkat dari tahun ke tahun, termasuk di Kota Makassar sebagai bagian penting wilayah penangan stunting. Survei awal yang dilakukan terkait pencegahan stunting masih kurangnya ibu balita atau ibu nifas memberikan ASI eksklusif pada bayinya dan cara merawat payudara. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan ibu nifas atau ibu balita terkait pemberian ASI ekslusif dan perawatan payudara sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting pada anak. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah ibu nifas atau ibu yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pattingaloang kecamatan Ujung Tanah Kota Makassar karena terkait dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penyuluhan, dialog interaktif dan praktik perawatan payudara. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra sebesar 70% mengenai pemberian ASI eksklusif dan praktik perawatan payudara sebagai pencegahan stunting pada anak serta perubahan perilaku dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayinya.Abstract:  The incidence of stunting in Indonesia, especially in South Sulawesi, is increasing from year to year, including in Makassar as an important part of the stunting management area. The initial survey conducted regarding the prevention of stunting is mothers of toddler or postpartum mothers still a lack to provide exclusive breastfeeding for their babies and how to care for breasts. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of postpartum mothers or mothers of toddlers regarding exclusive breastfeeding and breast care as an effort to prevent stunting in children. The target of this activity is postpartum mothers who are in the working area of the Pattingaloang Community Health Center in the Ujung Tanah sub-district, Makassar city, because they are related to exclusive breastfeeding. The methods used in this community service are counseling, interactive dialogue and breast care practices. This community service activity succeeded in increasing partners' knowledge by 70% regarding exclusive breastfeeding and breast care practices as a prevention of stunting in children as well as behavioral changes in exclusive breastfeeding for their babies.

Abstract

Stunting (short) is a linear growth disorder caused by malnutrition of chronic nutrient intake or chronicor recurrent infectious diseases indicated by a z-score of height by age (TB/U) of less than -2 elementaryschool. The purpose of this study is to find out the analysis of risk factors that affect stunting in Sub-DistrictHealth Center Galesong Takalar Regency. The types of research used in this study are stunting case studiesin toddlers as dependent variables whereas the independent variables studied are birth weight, energy intake,protein intake, age and gender of toddlers, maternal education, number of household members, residentialareas and family economic status. The sample is a baby that has complete data according to the researchvariables (nothing is missing). As recorded in Sub-District Health Center Galesong Takalar Regency 2019using Lemesshow formula N = 298. The results showed that psychosocial stimulation affects stuntingproblems with a risk of 33.84 times. These results showed that the four free variables tested found nocorrelation with each other, so they were declared free of multicollinearity.
