Abstract

The General Elections Supervisory (BAWASLU) plays a role in supervising the implementation of elections in accordance with the laws and regulations in order to realize people's sovereignty as well as the application of democratic principles or values ​​for the realization of the ideals of a democratic Indonesian society. This research is a qualitative descriptive study which choose the BAWASLU Office of South Lampung Regency as a research location. The focus of the research is the strategy of strengthening human resource capacity by using a strategic management process. The purpose of the research is to find out how the strategy is to increase the human resource capacity of the elections Bawaslu of South Lampung Regency. The results of the study indicate that the strategy carried out by the Bawaslu of South Lampung Regency has been running in accordance with the strategic planning made. Based on the SWOT analysis, which produces quadrant I, which supports an aggressive strategy, it shows that the Bawaslu of South Lampung Regency has great strengths and opportunities in favorable situations so that they can take advantage of existing opportunities and minimize weaknesses and threats around them.

Abstract

Psikologi dalam sastra mengandung fenomena-fenomena yang tampak lewat perilaku tokoh-tokohnya. Tujuan psikologi sastra adalah memahami aspek-aspek kejiwaan yang terkandung dalam karya sastra. Dalam penelitian ini hanya menganalisis aspek psikologis  tokoh utama bernama Nafisya dalam novel Assalamualaikum Calon Imam menggukan metode deskripif analitik Cerita novel “Assalamualaikum Calon Imam” karya Ima Madaniah adalah mengenai perjuangan hidup Nafisya. Alur ceritanya merupakan peristwa-peristiwa yang terangkai secara padu dan dipertimbangkan secara matang oleh pengarang. Peristiwa- peristiwa inilah diberi tekanan untuk membentuk karakter tokoh dalam cerita. Tokoh/Penokohan yang terdapat dalam novel terdiri dari tokoh utama yakni Nafisya dan tokoh sampingan. Latar yang tersajikan di dalam novel menggunakan latar waktu, latar tempat, dan latar suasana. Pengarang menggunakan sudut pandang tokoh Nafisya berperan sebagai tokoh utama yang menjadi pelaku cerita.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago with thousands of islands scattered across the country. Among of these islands are small islands and outer islands of Indonesia territory which has sea border with neighboring countries. This research is a legal research. The source of data are secondary data. The research data are analyzed by qualitative approach. The results of this research show that the growing issue of climate change in the global world, cause the existence of small islands are in a high risk situation because of erosion and sea level rise. As a result, there will be pressure on the coastline so that some small islands are in the risk of losing some part of its land and even some islands are threatened to sink completely. Shoreline retreat in the outermost small islands could potentially result in a change in Indonesian maritime boundaries with neighboring countries and undermine Indonesia’s claim over the sea area. Moreover, Indonesia is still manage to establish some international agreements through bilateral diplomacy with neighboring countries, related to maritime boundaries with neighboring countries. This bilateral international agreement on border is absolutely necessary to strengthen claims over sea boundaries in Indonesia. Therefore, mitigation and adaptation strategies in deal with climate change issues are important to be integrated into the management policy of outermost small islands so that it will deliver a management concept that is resilience to climate change.

Abstract

Trade liberalization has consequences with the opening of global market access widely.. Along with the development of the era, international trade activities have begun to move towards the digital economy, one of which is reflected in the practice of digital multinational companies (digital MNEs). State revenue with the potential of the digital economy has also increased, where in 2023 the value of Indonesia's digital economy will reach US$82 billion. This study aims to identify the implementation of digital taxation on digital multinational companies in terms of GATS provisions. This paper uses a prescriptive legal research method using a statutory approach which in this case examines legal regulations relating to the imposition of digital taxes in international trade practices. The results of the study indicate that the imposition of digital taxes on multinational companies as per the concept of the Two Pillars of Tax Policy can be classified as a form of NTB. However, if the digital taxation policy that will be implemented in Indonesia has been adjusted to the idea of ​​the OECD Two Pillars of Tax Policy Concept, it is hoped that it will not conflict with the rules or principles of international trade, especially in GATS.

Abstract

Hobin is a teenager who was initially considered weak and often became a victim of bullying at school because of his poor physical condition. Hobin's life changes began when he discovered the Newtube channel which provided fighting guides. Hobin utilizes this platform to create his personal fighting content, not only as entertainment, but also as a means of positive change in his life. His decision received a positive response, bringing significant changes to his popularity and resulting in impressive physical and mental growth. This article aims to conduct a study of the intrinsic elements of this comic, exploring aspects of character development, storyline, and moral message, especially through Hobin's journey of transformation, which creates a strong basis for an in-depth study of the comic "How To Fight" by Park Tae Jun.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the forms of language style in the Central Kalimantan folktales by the 10th-grade students of SMAN I Damang Batu and to investigate their implications for literature learning in high schools. The research technique used was qualitative descriptive research with content analysis. Based on the analysis conducted by the author, the research findings revealed the existence of language style in the Central Kalimantan folktales by the 10th-grade students of SMAN I Damang Batu, namely emotive language style with four quotes, connotative meaning with four quotes, hyperbole with four quotes, metaphor with five quotes, and personification with five quotes. Therefore, the dominant language style used in the Central Kalimantan folktales by the 10th-grade students of SMAN I Damang Batu is the metaphor and personification style.

Abstract

This article discusses effective sentences in Indonesian for successful communication, particularly in two common situations encountered in professional and educational environments. Case analyses involve examining real-life cases from various communication situations in daily life. These cases may include situations in both professional and educational settings. This analysis will assist researchers and readers in understanding the application of effective communication concepts in practical contexts, as well as reinforce understanding of the importance of effective sentences in communicating in the Indonesian language.

Abstract

The comic "Lookism," is a narrative that follows the journey of Park Hyung Seok, a teenager who experiences bullying because of his appearance. His decision to change houses and schools brings about a drastic transformation when he wakes up with a perfect new body. Despite gaining a popular social life at a new school, Park Hyung Seok is still faced with the challenge of adapting to changes in his body and environment. The uniqueness of this story lies in the ability to return to one's original body, reminding that physical appearance is not everything. The main message of "Lookism" is the importance of self-acceptance and the realization that success in life does not only depend on appearance, but also on personality and abilities. This comic illustrates that every change brings new adventures. Life is a journey full of mysteries and challenges that shape a person's character. The comic "Lookism" teaches that true happiness and success in life lies in self-acceptance and the development of true personality and abilities.
