Abstract

This study used Littoraria scabra as a model of research that attempted to understand how the species optimize their survival in mangrove area. It was aimed at investigating the reproductive significance of oviviparous L. scabra and larval release periodicity in order to maintain their survival in mangrove ecosystem. Reproductive observations of L. scabra were done by looking at mating, larvae releasing rate. Results showed that the reproductive significance of L. scabra was observed as follows: a) there were 64.58% of mating pairs on the stem of S. ovata; b) Mating L. scabra releasing the larvae did not have gonad reduction; c) L. scabra released significantly larger female larvae than male.Specific significance of ovoviviparous species L. scabra with reproductive patterns, i.e mating, larvae releasing rate, was to optimize their reproductive significance in extreme three-dimensional mangrove habitat. This study concluded that the reproductive significance of male L. scabra possessed a uniqueness and very rare in nature larva storing system and quickly released larvae. This study support research 2016, also found the reproductive significance in which males and females, while mating, released larvae with bi-lunar and tidal cycles.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to know various species of gastropods and gastropod community structure through species density, percent density, dominant species, and association of species of gastropods on seagrass ecosystem. Research with the method of quadrat transect is put perpendicular to the coastline. Gastropod species are found in the seagrass ecosystem on the Makalisung coast consist of 9 species, 7 families, and 4 ordos. Gastropod community structure on seagrass ecosystem is found with species density is highest Cymbiola nivosa as big as 0.64 (ind/m2) with highest percent density 34.04 %. Diversity of species of gastropods on four-station that H’> 1 highest in fouth station as big as H’= 1.72. The dominance of species is highest Cymbiola nivosa as big as C=0.44, where the result of research in generally dominancy C < 0.25 belong to low. Association of species of gastropods on seagrass ecosystem found three characteristics, (1) classifying of positive association is Cypraea tigris and Monetaria annulus, Cypraea tigris and Cymbiola nivosa, Strombus labiatus and Cyclope pellucida, Strombus labiatus and Cymbiola nivosa, Monetaria annulus and Cerithiun nodulosum, Cymbiola nivosa and Cerithiun nodulosum; Cerithiu nodulosum and Angaria dephinus and Faunus ater. (2) Classification of not associated Angaria dephinus and association close to zero (0,04) is Monetaria annulus and Cymbiola nivosa. (3) Classifying of negative association based on the result of the research shows most of the negative pairs of gastropod species on seagrass ecosystem.Keywords: Gastropod; Density; Diversity; Dominance; AssociationAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jenis-jenis Gastropoda dan struktur komunitas Gastropoda melalui Kepadatan spesies (Ind/m2), Kepadatan relatif (%), Dominansi spesies (C), dan asosiasi antarspesies Gastropoda pada ekosistem lamun. Penelitian dengan metode garis transek kuadrat yang ditempatkan tegaklurus garis pantai. Spesis gastropoda yang ditemukan di ekosism lamun pantai Makalisung, terdiri atas 9 spesies , 7 famili,  dan 4 ordo. Struktur komunitas gastropoda di ekosistem lamun ditemukan dengan kepadatan total spesis tertinggi pada Cymbiola nivosa sebesar 0,64 (ind/m2) dengan kepadatan relatif tertinggi 34,04 %; keanekaragaman spesis gastropoda keempat stasiun H’> 1 di mana tertinggi stasiun 4 sebesar H’= 1,72; dominansi total tertinggi adalah spesis Cymbiola nivosa sebesar C=0,44, di mana hasil penelitian secara umum dominansi C < 0,25 adalah tergolong rendah. Asosiasi spesis gastropoda di ekosistem lamun ditemukan tiga ciri, (1) klasifikasi golongan asosiasi positif adalahCypraea tigris dan Monetaria annulus,Cypraea tigris dan Cymbiola nivosa, Strombus labiatus dan Cyclope pellucida, Strombus labiatus dan Cymbiola nivosa, Monetaria annulus dan Cerithiun nodulosum, Cymbiola nivosa dan Cerithiun nodulosum; Cerithiu nodulosum dan Angaria dephinus dan Faunus ater. Klasifikasi golongan tidak berasosiasi (2) Angaria dephinus dan asosiasi mendekati zero (0,04) yaitu Monetaria annulus dan Cymbiola nivosa. Dan klasifikasi golongan asosiasi negatif, hasil penelitian sebagian besar menunjukkan asosiasi negatif pasangan spesis gastropoda di ekosistem lamun.Kata kunci : Gastropoda, Kepadatan, Diversitas, Dominansi, Asosiasi.

Abstract

This research is to know community structure and gastropod distribution include species density (individual/m2), relative density (%), diversity indices (H’), Evenness indices (E), Richness indices (R), Dominance indices (D) and Dispersion indices (Id).This inestigation was carried out February 2020 in intertidal area, Waleo beach in Minahasa Northern. Quadrat transect placed via area sampling based on substrate difference. Placing quadrat transect was centr on three points that different with distance with point 100 m and distance between quadran 10 m with size quadrat 50 cm2. Based on this research was find 22 species include Cypraea tigris, Terebra areolata, Cymbiola nivosa oblita, Euplica borealis, Turbo argyrostomus, Cypraea moneta, Conus cumingii, Cypraea errones, Tectus fenestrats, Nerita ascensionis, Nerita exuvi, Nerita albicilla, Nerita polita, Nerita Picea, Vasum turbinellus, Lunella cinerea, Nassarius globosus, Nassarius pullus, Vexillum acupictum, Clypeomorus pellucida, Vexillum ebenus, Terebralia sulcata. Five order include Neogastropoda, Littorinimorpha, Cycloneritida, Caenogastropoda, Trochida. Analysis result to species density is the highest 0,40 (individual/m2),relative density, Nerita polita 12,63 %, index of diversity,H’= 3,…, index of evenness, E = 0,97, index of richness, R = 0,22 and index of dominance, range D =0,13-0,18 concluded that no species dominantly. Gastropoda distribution pattern in intertidal area based 3 stations that showed all pattern of clumed distribution. Keywords: Gastropoda, Intertidal, density, spread pattern Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas dan pola penyebaran gastropoda meliputi Kepadatan spesies (Ind/m2), Kepadatan Relatif (%),Indeks Keanekaragaman (H’), Indeks Keseragaman (E), Indeks Kekayaan spesies (R), Indeks Dominansi (D), dan indeks Sebaran. Penelitian ini di lakukan pada bulan februari 2020 yang berlokasi di daerah intertidal pantai Waleo Kabupaten Minahasa Utara. Penempatan transek kuadran di tentukan melalui teknik area sampling berdasarkan perbedaan substrat, penempatan transek dan kuadran di pusatkan di tiga titik yang berbeda-beda dengan jarak antara titik 100m dan jarak antara kuadran 10m dengan ukuran kuadran 50x50cm. Dari hasil penelitiaan di temukan 22 spesis meliputi Cypraea tigris, Terebra areolata, Cymbiola nivosa oblita, Euplica borealis, Turbo argyrostomus, Cypraea moneta, Conus cumingii, Cypraea errones, Tectus fenestrats, Nerita ascensionis, Nerita exuvi, Nerita albicilla, Nerita polita, Nerita Picea, Vasum turbinellus, Lunella cinerea, Nassarius globosus, Nassarius pullus, Vexillum acupictum, Clypeomorus pellucida, Vexillum ebenus, Terebralia sulcata. Dan 5 ordo Neogastropoda, Littorinimorpha, Cycloneritida, Caenogastropoda, Trochida. Hasil analisis terhadap kepadatan spesis nilai tertinggi terdapat pada spesis N.polita sebesar 0,40 Ind/m² dan kepadatan realtif tertinggi juga terdapat pada spesis N.polita sebesar 12,63 %, nilai indeka keanekaragaman H’= 9,49 yang merupakan kategori tinggi, nilai dari indeks keseragaman secara keseluruhan (E)=0,97 dalam kondisi , dan nilai indeks kekayaan spesis yaitu 0,22, indeks Dominansi (D) = 0,13 – 0,18 disimpulkan tidak ada yang mendominasi, Pola sebaran gastropoda di daerah intertidal dari ketiga stasiun menunjukan pola sebaran secara mengelompok. Wilayah pantai Waleo Kabupaten Minahasa Utara memiliki suhu 31,3ºC. Derajat keasaman pH yang di peroleh yaitu 7 Salinitas yang di peroleh sebesar 34‰ yang masih dalam kisaran baik untuk gastropoda. Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the types and size distribution of parrotfish in the waters of Taduna Village. The research was conducted using sampling methods. Samples were collected over a period of two months from the catches landed in Taduna Village by local fishermen. The fishermen used gillnets for their catches. The length of each fish was measured from the tip of the mouth to the end of the tail using a millimeter-scale ruler with a precision of 0.1 cm. The weight of the fish was measured using a digital scale with a resolution of one gram. The length of each species was analyzed using frequency distribution and presented in length and weight histograms. Based on the data obtained from the measurements of Family Scaridae fish, a total of 53 individuals were collected, consisting of 8 species: Chorurus bleekeri (11 individuals), Calotomus carolinus (4 individuals), Chorurus japanensis (6 individuals), Chlorurus microrhinos (2 individuals), Scarus frenatus (16 individuals), Scarus russell (4 individuals), Scarus spinus (5 individuals), and Scarus tricolor (5 individuals). The distribution of Family Scaridae fish in the waters off Taduna Village shows varying lengths and weights for each species. For example, Chorurus bleekeri ranged from 18.9 to 26.5 cm in length and weighed between 150 and 394 grams, Chorurus japanensis had a length distribution between 17.5 and 27.4 cm and weighed from 119 to 465 grams, and Scarus frenatus ranged from 18.3 to 24.5 cm in length and weighed between 117 and 308 grams." Keywords: Parrotfish, Scaridae, Types, Size, Kabaruan. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui jenis dan distribusi ukuran ikan kakatua di perairan Desa Taduna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sampling. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dalam waktu dua bulan dari hasil tangkapan nelayan yang didaratkan di Desa Taduna. Alat yang digunakan nelayan adalah jaring insang mono filamen. Seluruh panjang ikan diukur dari ujung mulut hingga ujung ekor dengan penggaris skala milimeter dengan ketelitian 0,1 cm. Berat ikan diukur dengan timbangan digital dengan resolusi satu gram. Panjang setiap spesies dianalisis menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan ditampilkan dalam histogram panjang dan berat. Berdasarkan data hasil pengukuran ikan Famili Scaridae diperoleh sebanyak 53 individu yang terdiri dari 8 spesies yaitu Chorurus bleekeri (11 individu), Calotomus carolinus (4 individu), Chorurus japanensis (6 individu), Chlorurus microrhinos (2 individu), Scarus frenatus (16 individu), Scarus russellii (4 individu), Scarus spinus (5 individu) dan Scarus tricolor (5 individu). Distribusi ikan Famili Scaridae di perairan depan Desa Taduna memiliki ukuran panjang dan berat yang bervariasi yaitu spesies Chorurus bleekeri berkisar 18,9-26,5 cm dan berat 150-394 gram, Chorurus japanensis memiliki distribusi ukuran panjang berkisar 17,5-27,4 cm dan berat 119-465 gram dan Scarus frenatus memiliki distribusi ukuran panjang berkisar 18,3-24,5 cm dan berat 117-308 gram.
