Abstract

The role of the principal is important for directing school life to achieve school goals. The principal appointment is attained through formal and rational consideration, determined by procedures, requirements, and regulations. This study is concerned with the development of performance appraisal model of junior high school principals and is aimed to achieve the following aims: 1) to detect rules and system regarding principals performance appraisal; 2) to verify and describe components, process and measures results of principals appraisal, and 3) to analyse Performance Based required by principals; and 4) to generate hypothetical models of principal performance appraisals in junior high school level. In order to have principals with all standard criteria, efforts to improve principal professional capacities are needed to conduct in a well-planned manner through continuous quality improvement. These improvements are mapped out intermittently so that principals profiles based on measures results of Principals Performance Appraisal can be put into actual. Performance appraisal is designed to identify data on principals performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe and analyze the knowledge management and capacity development of teachers Madrasah Aliyah in Bandung. Analytic descriptive method with quantitative approach used in this study on 225 respondents. The result: There is a significant effect simultaneously knowledge management, capacity building of teachers to the teacher's teaching performance MA in Bandung, knowledge management and capacity development of teachers are in the category enough. Personal dimension, procedures and technologies with category enough. Dimension policy, management, quality assurance, impact category enough.

Abstract

The available Fluidized Bed dryer has low drying capacity so it is necessary to increase the dimensions to improve the drying capacity. This study aimed to increased the dimensions of the Fluidized Bed dryer, to determined the drying capacity, and to conducted technical tests. This research was conducted at Power and Agriculture Machinery, Faculty of Food and Agroindustrial Technology, University of Mataram. The method used in this research was experimental method with mathematical approach. The parameters used in this study was the scale parameter and technical test parameters. Scale Up Fluidized Bed dryer was done in the drying chamber which includes the dimensions of the drying chamber and drying capacity. Technical testing included air flow velocity, the minimum fluidization velocity, temperature, drying time and space dryer efficiency. The drying chamber is a cylinder with a diameter of 40 cm, height 200 cm and 0.1256 m2 area of the base. The capacity of the Fluidized Bed dryer before Scale Up was 4 kg and the capacity after Scale Up was 8 kg. The speed of air flow through the drying chamber was 3 m/s. The distribution of temperature during the drying process ranges between 40-50℃ and 50-60℃. According to the research, the more the masses drained, the longer the time required to dry the material. The efficiency of the drying chamber mostly present in the temperature range of 50-60℃ with a value of 94.04%. Keywords: fluidized bed, scale up, technical test ABSTRAK Alat pengering Fluidized Bed yang tersedia memiliki kapasitas pengeringan yang rendah sehingga diperlukan peningkatan ukuran dimensi alat untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengeringan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ukuran dimensi alat pengering Fluidized Bed, menentukan kapasitas pengeringan dan melakukan uji teknis. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Daya dan Mesin Pertanian Fakultas Teknologi Pangan dan Agroindustri Universitas Mataram. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan pendekatan matematis. Parameter yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah parameter Scale Up dan parameter uji teknis. Scale Up alat pengering Fluidized Bed dilakukan pada bagian ruang pengering yang meliputi dimensi ruang pengering dan kapasitas pengeringan. Uji teknis meliputi kecepatan aliran udara, kecepatan minimum fluidisasi, suhu, waktu pengeringan, dan efisiensi ruang pengering. Ruang pengering berbentuk silinder dengan diameter 40 cm, tinggi 200 cm, dan luas alas 0,1256 m2. Kapasitas alat pengering Fluidized Bed sebelum Scale Up adalah 4 kg dan kapasitas setelah Scale Up sebesar 8 kg. Kecepatan aliran udara yang melewati ruang pengering adalah 3 m/s. Sebaran suhu selama proses pengeringan berkisar antara 40-50℃ dan 50-60℃. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian semakin banyak massa yang dikeringkan semakin lama waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mengeringkan bahan tersebut. Efisiensi ruang pengering yang paling besar terdapat pada kisaran suhu 50-60℃ dengan nilai 94,04%. Kata kunci: fluidized bed, scale up, uji teknis

Abstract

Telah dilakukan percobaan severe plastic deformation (SPD) dengan metodeequal channel angular pressing (ECAP) pada batang kuningan CuZn 70/30 diameter 10 mm sampai 5 pas. Gaya penekanan meningkat secara signifikan pada awal langkah penekanan dan mencapai nilai maksimum lalu melandai. Pada pas pertama gaya penekanan mencapai 115 kN, pas kedua 130 kN, pas ketiga mecapai 150 kN dan pada pas keempat 165 kN. Dari pengukuran luas area di bawah kurva gaya penekanan diperoleh energi total pembentukan pada proses ECAP batang kuningan persatuan panjang adalah 95 Joule/mm pada pas pertama, sampai 130 Joule/mm pada pas ketiga, dan turun 125 Juole/mm pada pas keempat. Secara kumulatif total energi persatuan panjang meningkat secara linier sesuai dengan peningkatan jumpah pas, dimana pada pas keempat mencapai 597 MPa. Peningkatan gaya penekanan dan energi penekanan sebanding dengan terjadinya peningkatan kekerasan pada batang kuningan dan terjadinya penghalusan butir.Kata kunci: ECAP, gaya penekanan, energi pembentukan, kekerasan, penghalusan butir, kuningan.AbstractExperiments of severe plastic deformation (SPD) have been carried out by the method of equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) on brass rods CuZn 70/30 diameter 10 mm to 5 pas. Pressing force significantly is increased emphasis on early steps and reaches a maximum value and then ramp. At the first pas the pressing force reached 115 kN, the second pass 130 kN, the third pass 150 kN and fouth pass is 165. From measurements of the area under the curve of pressing force, the total forming energy per unit length generated to form the brass rod in ECAP is 95 Joule / mm at the first pass, 130 Joules / mm at third pass and down to 125 Joule/mm at fouth pass. Cumulatively, the total forming energy per unit length increases linearly according to the increase in number of ECAP pass, where the fourth pass reach 597 Joule/mm. Increased emphasis pressing load and forming energy is proportional to the increase in hardness of the brass rod and the grain refinement.Keywords: ECAP, pressing load, forming energy, hardness, grain refinement, Brass

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini penting dilakukan karena guru SMK sebagai ujung tombak dalam pembelajaran di sekolah, dimana guru diberikan kewenangan dalam mengembangkan kurikulum  atau program pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas manajemen mutu pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru pengampu mata pelajaran rumpun bidang produktif pada SMK Kelompok Bidang Keahlian Bisnis dan Manajemen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analitik dengan metode kualitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Ketua Kompetensi Keahlian, Guru-guru di SMKN 1 Bandung dan SMKN 3 Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : Pertama, paradigma yang digunakan dalam pengembangan kurikulum pada ke dua SMK Negeri ini  adalah demand/market driven dan life skills. Kedua, pelaksanaan pendidikan menggunakan sistem ganda (PSG). Ketiga, evaluasi Pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh Guru kelompok Mata Pelajaran produktif   dilaksanakan  secara menyeluruh yang meliputi aspek pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan pada setiap substantif yang dipelajari. Keempat, tindak lanjut dari kegiatan evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh guru bidang produktif, penyusunan laporan hasil belajar dilakukan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran, membantu siswa yang belum mencapai kompetensi melalui pembelajaran remedial dan pengayaan.AbstractThis research is important because SMK teachers are the spearhead in learning in schools, where teachers are given authority in developing curriculum or learning programs. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the quality management of learning undertaken by teachers supporting productive subject groups in the Vocational Group in Business and Management Skills. This study uses a descriptive analytic approach with qualitative methods. Respondents in this study were the Principal, Head of Expertise Competency, Teachers at SMKN 1 Bandung and SMKN 3 Bandung. The results show: First, the paradigms used in curriculum development in these two State Vocational Schools are demand / market driven and life skills. Second, the implementation of education uses a dual system (PSG). Third, evaluation of learning conducted by the teacher of productive subject groups is carried out thoroughly covering the aspects of knowledge, attitudes and skills in each substantive learned. Fourth, the follow-up of the evaluation activities carried out by the productive sector teacher, the preparation of learning outcomes reports is carried out to improve the learning process, help students who have not yet achieved competency through remedial learning and enrichment.

Abstract

: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of learning approach and cognitive style on learning outcomes in mathematics studies class 3 elementary students, This study is uses design by factorial 2 x 2. The samples are consisted of 69 student. The technique of data analysis are two ways analysis of variance (ANAVA) and followed by Tuckey's test for significance level of α = 0, 05. To test the normality of the data using Lilliefors test and to test the homogeneity of the data using the Bartlett test. Research results obtained are: 1) the results of mathematics studies in the group of students who were given a type of learning approach realistic mathematics education is higher than the group of students who were given problem based learning approach, 2) the resualts of mathematics studies in the group of students who have cognitive style field Independent is higher than the group of students who have cognitive style filed dependent, 3) there is an interaction effect between the approach learning and cognitive style the results of mathematics studies, 4) Group of students who have cognitive style filed independent their mathematic studies result will be higher if it is teached by using a mathematic realistic approach than problem based learning approach, 5) Group of students who have cognitive style filed dependent their mathematic studies result will be higher if it is teached by using a problem based learning approach than mathematic realistic approach, 6) in process learning using mathematic realistic approach their mathematic studies result will be higher in who have cognitive style filed independent student than who have cognitive style filed dependent, 7) in process learning using problem based learning approach their mathematic studies result will be higher in who have cognitive style filed dependent student than who have cognitive style filed independent. Abstract

Bureaucracy elites as leaders play a very important role in determining a quality of public services. This research sought to understand: 1) The behavior of Bureaucracy Elites in giving public service. 2) Motive of their behavior and 3) quality of their service. This research show that the behavior of bureaucracy elites are expressed by some decisions and actions which show discriminative behavior such as giving special service to the ruling group of society with motive to save their position, allowing the staff to give special service to the haves with motive to get more money and loyalty of their staff, and giving excellent service to all groups of society , especially in arranging for trivial matters with motive to get pride and as sacrifice. As the impact of their discriminative behavior, bureaucracy elites can not perform excellence service.Keywords: behavior, motive, bureaucracy, bureaucracy elites, public services, service exellence.

Abstract

Dalam belajar matematika, kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki peserta didik dalam belajar matematika adalah kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis.  Trigonometri merupakan salah satu materi matematika di mana siswa mengalami kesulitan dan menganggap trigonometri lebih abstrak dibandingkan materi lainnya. Harapan dari pemilihan model pembelajaran dan media pembelajaran yang tepat agar siswa mampu untuk memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru dan menghasilkan hasil belajar yang bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dalam pembelajaran matematika Trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Majalengka dengan 30 siswa di kelas control dan 30 siswa di kelas pembanding. Berdasarkan data dan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat perolehan hasil belajar siswa dalam hal penguasaan konsep, yang mendapat pengajaran trigonometri dengan model kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share tergolong tinggi. Serta, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share secara signifikan dapat lebih meningkatkan penguasaan konsep trigonometri dibanding model pembelajaran konvensional.
