Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of understanding in understanding mathematical concepts. This study aims to produce mathematics teaching materials using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to build conceptual understanding. This research Research and Development (R&D) modifies the ADDIE model. In this study only up to the stage of development (Development). Validation is carried out by material experts, design experts, and linguists. There are two data analysis techniques in this study, namely qualitative descriptive statistical analysis of input, comments, and suggestions from expert validation sheets and peer-reviewed questionnaires, and descriptive statistical analysis of scores from expert validation results and peer responses. This research is expected to produce mathematics teaching materials based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) to build understanding of mathematical concepts in the form of ISBN modules.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe steps of make a match model, to improve  activeness and learning outcomes of grade III students at SDN 171 by applying a Make a match model. The subjects of this study were teachers and students. Data collection techniques in the form of observations and tests. Assessment instruments in the form of observations and tests. Observation data analysis techniques use the formula of average score, highest score, lowest score, score difference and range values for each criterion. The test data is analyzed using the formula of average grades and classical percentages. The results of the teacher activity research in the application of model Make a match cycle I obtained a score of 61.15 (good)  and cycle II increased by 80.15 (very good), the activeness of learning learners in cycle I obtained a score of 10.05 (sufficient) and increased in cycle II obtained an average score of 13.12 (good). The results of learning cycle I in Indonesian subjects in classroom amounted to 67.48 with classical completion of 47.05%, in cycle II average grade value was 75.74 with classical completion of 76.47%. Mathematics subjects in cycle I obtained an average class of 69.55 with classical completion of 70.58%, in cycle II the average grade score of 81.13 with classical completion of 88.23%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of Make a match model can improve the activeness and learning outcomes of students in Grade III SDN 171.Keywords: Make a match, Liveliness, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract         The objectives of this research were to describe steps of Contextual Teaching and Learning model to increase teachers' and students' activities in thematic teaching, and to increase students' grade in thematic teaching of the fourth grade of SD Negeri 02 Kabawetan by applying Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. This was a class action research. The subjects were teachers and students of the fourth grade of SDN 02 Kabawetan. The research instruments were observation sheet and test sheet. The observation data were analyzed using average score formula, highest score, lowest score, score ratio and score range for each criterion. The test data were analyzed using score average formula and percentage of classical completeness. The results showed there was increase of activities and students' grade in thematic teaching using CTL model. These were proven by the score of the first cycle  of teachers' activity which was 28, and increased in the second cycle which was 30,3. Students' score for first cycle  was 9.5 with category of fair and increased in the second cycle  with a score of 12.6 with category of good. The grade for first cycle  of Indonesian Language class showed the average score was 66.2 with classical completeness of 52.94%, there was an increase of grade in the second cycle in which the average score was 78.9 and the classical  completeness was 82.35%. For the Science class, in first cycle  the average score was 69.18 and classical completeness was 58.8%; there was an increase in the second cycle, the average score was 84.28 and classical completeness was 100%. Thus, the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning model could increase activities and students' grade in thematic teaching of the fourth grade of SDN 02 Kabawetan. Keywords : Contextual Teaching and Learning model, learning activities, students' grade

Abstract

Thematic Learning in the field has not practiced optimally. This research found that still many implementations of teacher-centered in teaching learning process. Students tend to be passive and only learn from the text book. So, thematic learning innovation is needed to increase the learning activity. From thematic scientific approach through the implementation of quantum learning model of teaching that applies the concept TANDUR (Tanamkan, Alami, Namai, Demonstrasikan, Ulangi, dan Rayakan) make student-centered learning The use of audio media in the form of children's songs, instruments, and pictures help students learning with fun, so that process activities and thematic learning outcomes and student skills in creative thinking will increase.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the influence of Integrated Thematic Learning usingDiscovery Learning to the Knowledge of Elementary School Students about Historical Heritage. Theresearch design used was the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The study population isall fourth grade students of elementary school in Bengkulu city of academic year 2017-2018. The sampleof the research is the fourth grader of Public Elementary School 68 as the experimental group that iscarrying out the learning with discovery learning by visiting the museum and IVA of the State ElementarySchool 05 Kota Bengkulu as the control group with the image media. The instrument used in this study isa test sheet to measure students' knowledge of historical relics. The data of the research were analyzedinferential statistically with t-test. The results showed that the mean score difference between posttest andpretest in the control group was 20.95 and in the experimental group was 39.66. The result of t calculationis 0,27 and t table 2,00. So it can be concluded there is no significant effect of thematic learning based onlocal culture with discovery learning to the knowledge of elementary students about the historical relics. Key word : Thematic learning, historical knowledge, discovery learning Abstrak :Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pembelajaran Tematik Terpadu menggunakan Discovery Learning terhadap Pengetahuan siswa Sekolah Dasar tentang Peninggalan Sejarah. Desainpenelitian yang digunakan adalah the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. Populasipenelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Sampelpenelitian adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 68 sebagai keompok eksperimen yaitumelaksanakan pembelajaran dengan discovery learning dengan mengunjungi museum dan IVA SekolahDasar Negeri 05 Kota Bengkulu sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan media gambar. Instrumen yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes untuk mengukur pengetahuan siswa tentang peninggalansejarah. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara statistik inferensial dengan uji-t. Hasil penelitian diketahuibahwa rata-rata selisih skor antara postest dan pretest pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 20,95 dan padakelompok eksperimen sebesar 39,66. Hasil analisis t hitung sebesar 0,27 dan t tabel 2,00. Sehingga dapatdisimpulkan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran tematik berbasis budaya lokal dengandiscovery learning terhadap pengetahuan siswa Sekolah Dasar tentang peninggalan sejarah Kata kunci: Pembelajaran tematik, pengetahuan peninggalan sejarah, discovery learning
