Abstract

Airfield Lighting subject is one of the most importance subjects for Airport Electrical Engineering of Indonesia Civil Aviation Institute cadets . There are CBT and AFL in AGL laboratory to support the teaching-learning process as well as the practice of this subject. At the time being, however, there has not been any simulation tool for the layout and circuit configuration of the airport airside. Therefore, the writer designs a simulation tool as a teaching aid/props for the practice of this subject at the laboratory. By having this tool, it is expected that the cadets can do the simulation of the layout and circuit configuration of the airport airside.

Abstract

At this time cadets experienced some problems in the implementation of practice in Airfield Lighting System subject, due to the props that can not be used properly. The designed Approach Lighting System Simulation is intended as one solution to the problem, and it is a new idea to be used in practical activities, especially regarding to the Approach Lighting System configuration. This simulation design was created using Microsoft Visual Studio 2105 programming language where its result will be able to describe some configuration of Approach Ligthing System. In the end the authors hope this simulation design can provide benefits in the enrichment of subject matter practice materials in Airfield Lighting System course of Airport Electrical Engineering, Department of Aviation Engineerring, Indonesian Civil Aviation Institute. It is also suggested that the application programming language Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 can be developed further in designing learning simulations for other subjects in the Airfield Lighting System subject.

Abstract

Evaporative Cooler (EC) condenser is a process of air cooling that flows across wet surface and evaporate water from that wet surface so the environment air temperature become lower (air cooling). Application of EC on Air Conditioning (AC) Split will lower the environment air temperature that flow to condenser, so it will influence the work of AC Split. This experiment head to know increase in the work of AC Split that used EC and Mist Nozzle that produce fog. The result of the experiment shows that using EC, temperature of the environment air become lower compared to without using EC with the difference 4ºC in temperature, this causes the condenser pressure and evaporator pressure become lower, so the consumption of electrical energy will be lower and the work of AC Split increase to 20%.

Abstract

Announcement is a statement in oral or written form that contains information for many to know. In giving announcements of cadets in charge there are still many mistakes, therefore an application program that can make it easier for cadets in charge to provide daily service provision information at the STPI is needed. The design of this application program aims to provide suggestions in the form of announcement for cadets through the text to speech public address system application by using the Sublime Text 3 and the Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language which are expected to help cadets in charge and can reduce errors that often occur.This application program can be implemented at the cadets office to improve the service of providing information on retention without reducing the learning available for cadets of the STPI Curug

Abstract

Special tools for retaining bolt key-washer removal are not available, it cause retaining bolt key-washer cannot be removed at PT6A-20A engine practical, so that need to design these special tools. First step to design retaining bolt key-washer detachment tool as gas generator turbine disk aiding detacher tool for motor turbine PT6A-20A is to define weight, dimension, and force in which the tool is used. Then followed by the calculation and measuring process so that the shape, dimension and material for this tool can be determined. Next the writer start to design based on the available calculation and measurements by using theories related to this particular design. Then followed by the manufacturing of the tool based on the design being made.The tool is manufactured with 24,6 mm of detachment tool diameter and have 7,2 mm of high and 2,2 mm of thick. Protector tool have 38 mm outside diameter and 26 inner diameter. From the result of testing process,the retaining bolt keywasher dettachment tool has successfully removed the retaining bolt keywasher with the moment 78.056,60 N-mm and the protector toll has succesfully to protect hole of gas generator turbine disk shaft with moment 23.416,05 N-mm. And is set to use on cadet’s practice to fulfill motor turbine syllabus due to the unavailability of protective tool on the axle of gas generator turbine disk and retaining bolt key-washer detachment tool on gas generator turbine disk on motor turbine PT6A-20A in Hangar 01 Aircraft Engineering

Abstract

Juwata Tarakan international airport has a clean water distribution facility to the terminal building area using three pump units that have the same specification. Clean water is distributed to toilets, mosques, shops and cafeterias. The water distribution control system is automated but not in accordance with the desired condition because the system works in serial if the previous pump is not working.In order to for the simulation design of the setting operation of three pumps to work properly it is necessary to do a favorable theory review, such as the theory that support. Some theories used to support the writing of this final task must be related and complement each other, including the theory of arduino as microcontroller board, sensor theory ACS712, DS18b20 sensor, relay, and others.The simulation design use to operation the three pumps works based on the time specified in each pump, with overcurrent and overheated protection on each pump to avoid potentially problematic pump (auto system), if the auto system becomes problem then the manual system can be operated .This simulation is used to describe the control system that is located in the juwata tarakan international airport of northern kalimantan

Abstract

B.indonesia Ruang Makan Taruna merupakan salah satu fasilitas yang terdapat di Polteknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug. Di Asrama Curug I , ruang makan yang digunakan sejumlah dua buah. Ruang makan taruna 1 digunakan oleh taruna senior dan ruang makan taruna 2 digunakan oleh taruna junior. Ruang makan taruna 1 memiliki kapasitas daya tampung hingga 302 taruna dalam waktu sekali makan, sedangkan ruang makan taruna 2 memiliki daya tampung sebanyak 386. Pada kedua ruang makan tersebut belum terpasang alat pengkondisian udara. Pengkondisian udara merupakan usaha untuk memberikan kenyamanan dan kesegaran bagi si pengguna ruangan. Pengkondisi udara diperlukan untuk menyerap kalor yang dihasilkan baik dari dalam ruangan maupun dari luar ruangan untuk menciptakan kenyamanan pada ruang tersebut. Metode yang digunakan untuk melakukan perhitungan beban adalah Metode Cooling Load Temperature Different (CLTD). Metode CLTD adalah prosedur manual untuk mengukur beban pendinginan melalui perolehan panas radiasi, konduksi matahari, beban internal, dan beban eksternal. B.English The Cadets’ Dining Room is one of the facilities at the Indonesia Aviation Polytechnics-Curug. There are two dining rooms at Curug I dormitory. The cadets’ dining room 1 is used by senior cadets and the cadet's dining room 2 is used by junior cadets. The cadet dining room 1 has a capacity of up to 302 cadets, while the cadet 2 dining room has a capacity of 386 cadets. In both dining rooms, air conditioning devices are not yet installed. Air conditioning is an attempt to provide comfort and freshness to the user of the room. Air conditioners are needed to absorb heat generated both indoors and from outside the room to create comfort in the space. The method used to perform load calculations is the Cooling Load Temperature Difference (CLTD). CLTD method is a manual procedure to measure cooling loads through the acquisition of radiation heat, solar conduction, internal loads, and external loads.

Abstract

At Juwata International Airport, there are frequent blackouts by PLN. This causes the generator as backup power supply is often used, which makes refueling so often done. The current refueling is still manual using pump or filled directly from Pertamina‟s tanker. When doing manual refueling ever happened error, that spill of fuel.To know the fuel capacity from primary and secondary tank is currently still using the indicator hose from the height of fuel in tank. The fuel capacity in tank must always be checked to support the fuel needs of generator if PLN do the blackouts.This design use arduino as central control of system to be created. In addition this design also consists of ultrasonic sensors to know the fuel volume, relays as pump control, LED as indicator of filling mode and buzzer as warning to technician if the fuel volume reached the bottom level. This design us expected to help technician duty when refueling or fuel capacity check and can be solution of the exsisting problem.
