Abstract

The secular education system is an education system that separates explicitly between religion and science. Indigenous Indonesians began to recognize the secular education system from the Netherlands at the beginning of the 20th century. Through critical historical methods found: 1) The teachings of jihad in Islam played an important role in encouraging natives to fight in the Netherlands. 2) The teachings of jihad in Islam have made the Netherlands traumatized by indigenous resistance. While the Dutch themselves still want to continue to colonize the natives. 3) How to distance the teachings of Islamic Jihad from the natives is the great homework of Dutch so that the Dutch can still colonize Indonesia? 4) Snouck Hurgronje is a Leiden scientist who managed to provide solutions to the Netherlands. 5) Implementing a secular education system is the solution given by Snouck to the Netherlands. 6) Through the secular education system, the Dutch did succeed in ali.enating the minds of the natives from Islam. 7) The secular education system succeeded in building new beliefs for indigenous children. Their new belief is that the presence of Islam in Indonesia has made Indonesia suffer a setback. 8) They provide a solution, that if the Indonesian people want to achieve progress, then the Indonesian people must ignore religion and focus on developing secular science as the main means of advancing Indonesia in the future.

Abstract

This study is based on the researcher’s concern about the nation’s condition, especially in the political elites who increased the distance and have been deprived of the noble values of leadership in the past. The various noble values shown by the precursor are available in the local wisdom, which was appropriately recorded in lontaraq. The problem in this study was how the leadership criteria according to lontaraq pappaseng/pappasang on Bugis people of Makassar. This study aimed to describe and analyze the leadership criteria according to the lontaraq pappaseng/ pappasang perspective at Bugis Makassar people. This study used a qualitative approach with a hermeneutic method and content analysis. This research was a descriptive narrative. The data collection method was a literature study of leadership values on the manuscript of lontaraq pappaseng/pappasang and documentation study. This study concluded various leadership criteria based on the local wisdom of Bugis Makassar that had been contained in the lontaraq manuscript. In Bugis Makassar, human leadership is the center of cultural life. The content of the lontaraq pappaseng/ pappasang has some pedagogical values, such as the message and the criteria to be the ideal leader that can potentially contribute as a source of character value in the social science learning process. The findings of this study were expected to be taught through the integration of local content or value in the Core Curriculum of Social learning at the school or university level.

Abstract

Efforts to reconstruct the local history during the Japanese occupation, the era of World War 2 in Morotai be an interesting thing to be studied and researched. The existence of Morotai in the lips of the Pacific Ocean has strategic value for both sides, both Allied soldiers led by the United States and the Japanese army to serve as centers of the military. Various historical artifacts spread over land and sea to witness the heroic history of the events that have occurred on Earth Morotai. Reconstruct the history of Japanese period is not easy, as there was no written document in the form of archives as a primary source in historiography. Oral history method (oral history) is an alternative in the review for the period. Oral history is one of the historical sources, which can be used as the writing of history. Through in-depth interviews with actors history obtained the historical fact that can be a source of important information about the events that occurred. Sadly, many actors and witnesses of history who have died so that informants who are still alive are very limited in number, plus the age constraints of the elderly so it is not easy to get the desired information and various other obstacles complicate efforts to reconstruct the history at that time. Need the support of all elements of society to facilitate trace the history of World War 2 on the island of Morotai.

Abstract

The aims to be achieved in this research are, first, to assess whether the application of cooperative learning type STAD can increase the rate of liveliness learn on the subjects of history. Second,  to assessing whether the application of cooperative learning type STAD able to increase learning achievements on the subjects of history. The design of this study was with the Control Group Pre-Test and Post Test design. The results of the analysis of the data can be inferred: 1 ) the application of type STAD of cooperative learning can increase the rate of liveliness to study for students on the subjects of history,  koofesien relative effectiveness of 7,69 %. So if a student receives a grade activeness 66 in a conventional classroom, the liveliness of students in the classroom with using the cooperative learning type STAD methods will rise to 66 + ( 7,69 % x 66 ) that is equal to  71,07;  2 ) the application of learning cooperative type STAD able to increase learning achievements on the subjects of history, koofesien relative effectiveness of 7.4 %. So if a student gets the value of 66 in the class conventional, the classroom using cooperative learning type STAD  will increase to 66 + (7.04% x 66) that is equal to 70.65.

Abstract

Studi ini didasari oleh keprihatinan peneliti terhadap perilaku generasi muda Bugis yangsemakin jauh dan telah tercerabut dari nilai-nilai kulturalnya seperti yang terdapat dalam lontaraqpappaseng. Permasalahan pada studi ini adalah keunggulan apa yang terdapat dalam lontaraq pappaseng,sehingga baik untuk dijadikan sebagai kajian etnopedagogi dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian inimenggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi & hermeneutik. Pengumpulan datamenggunakan cara: studi pustaka/naskah, wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis datayang digunakan, yakni analisis isi dan analisis domain.Penelitian ini menyimpulkan nilai-nilai luhur yangterkandung pada naskah lontaraq pappaseng dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam muatan lokal pembelajaranIPS. Lontaraq pappaseng memiliki keunggulan karena berisi nasihat-nasihat tentang etika berinteraksidengan sesama manusia, berhubungan dengan orang tua, dan berhubungan dengan alam sekitar, sertamenjadi resep dan penuntun dalam kehidupan, sarat dengan nilai-nilai ajaran Islam. Implikasi daripenelitian ini diharapkan agar temuan dari penelitian ini dapat diajarkan melalui local content padapembelajaran IPS di sekolah, baik itu di tingkat dasar maupun tingkat lanjutan.

Abstract

Memahami metodologi sejarah adalah pengetahuan mutlak yang harus dimilikioleh seorang sejarawan. Tidak mungkin seorang sejarawan akan membentuksebuah karya besar dalam sejarah jika tidak disertai dengan pemahaman yangbaik tentang metodologi sejarah. Sebuah karya sejarah yang ditulis olehsejarawan jelas akan terlihat berbeda dengan penulis amatir (bukan sejarawan).Perbedaannya bisa dilihat dalam penggunaan metodologi sejarah. Tulisan ini akanmemandu pembaca bagaimana memahami metodologi sejarah teoritis danbagaimana menerapkan dalam penulisan sejarah.

Abstract

This study is the result of research on various historical relics of the second world war found on the island of Morotai. The purpose of this study is to find out how far the attention of historical scientists and observers of historical objects left on this island. This study uses a qualitative approach with historical methods, namely data collection through the stages of heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. Heuristics are stages in the search and collection of sources. Verification is the stage of source criticism, both internally and externally. Interpretation is the stage of interpretation and the last is historiography or historical writing. The findings of this study are that various historical remains of world wars on Morotai Island are becoming increasingly rare. Therefore, efforts are needed to save these historical objects which are feared to be destroyed, and even completely disappear due to changing hands or being misused by certain individuals. If this happens, the Morotai people will lose track of their history. Therefore, it is a recommendation that Morotai Island be made a cultural heritage area on the Pacific Rim so that it is hoped that the objects left behind by WW2 can be protected and saved from extinction, because it is our collective responsibility. As an observer of cultural history, it is time for local history studies to receive special attention so that people can know and understand events that have occurred in their area in the past. Keywords: Flakes, World War 2, Pacific Rim (Morotai)

Abstract

These studies describe the tradition of building a custom home in BugisMakassar society. In Makassar Bugis society as in other indigenous peoples,building a home is not just to protect yourself from getting wet due to rain in therainy season, as well as shelter from the scorching heat of the sun in thedaytime and protect inhabitants from the cold night when darkness was eerie,but more of these functions are loaded with the content of philosophical values.The process of establishment of indigenous peoples Bugis Makassar startingfrom the selection of an appropriate place, the determination of the exact timeand day, the joint establishment of mutual cooperation, to the placement of anyarchitectural form, and the room has its own meaning and nuance. This studyproves humans since ancient local genius Bugis Makassar has an advantage indoing a job, including the establishment of a customs house through lengthyconsideration and accurate calculations. Thus the resulting work really satisfyworkers and residents who occupy it.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Gugatan sejarah, adalah gugatan yang datang dari para pembaca sejarah yang mempertanyakan sejarah yang mereka baca. Muncul rasa ketidakpuasan atas informasi yang mereka dapatkan ketika membandingkan kajian sejarah dari beberapa buku yang ada, terdapat kesimpangsiuran. Mereka mulai mempertanyakan, orisinalitas sejarah dalam buku yang mereka baca, benarkah konten cerita dalam buku tersebut?. Pada sebagian pelajar dan masyarakat beranggapan bahwa belajar sejarah tidak ada manfaatnya karena cerita sejarah yang dipelajari terdapat banyak distorsi atau kebohongan. Ada apa dengan sejarah nasional kita, benarkah pendapat tersebut?. Tulisan ini memberikan jawaban mengapa sejarah sering mengalami kontroversi dan bagaimana mengatasinya. Dengan metode kajian pustaka terhadap beberapa sumber-sumber yang ada, penulis mengkaji persoalan tersebut, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa kontroversi dalam sejarah adalah yang wajar dan biasa saja, tergantung fakta dan interpretasi yang ada. Kontroversi sejarah akan memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan yang lebih luas kepada para pembacanya. Kontroversi akan melahirkan semangat yang kuat untuk selalu menggali dan melakukan kajian untuk mencari tahu dari berbagai sumber sejarah sehingga nantinya didapatkan kebenaran sejarah berdasarkan fakta-fakta sejarah yang dapat dipertanggunjawabkan. Dengan demikian akan melahirkan suatu tulisan sejarah yang lebih obyektif. Kata Kunci: Gugatan - Sejarah - Kontroversi    ABSTRACT. The claim history was a claim that comes from readers who questioned the history of the history they read. Comes a sense of dissatisfaction with the information they get when comparing the historical study of several books that exist, there is confusion. They have begun to question the originality of history in the books they read, what is the content of the stories in the book?. In some of the students and the people thought that learning history is useless because the story of history is learned there are many distortions or lies. What's wrong with our national history, what is the opinion?. This article provides answers to why the history of frequent controversy and how to overcome them. By the method of literature review of some existing sources, the authors examine the issue, it was concluded that the controversy in history is reasonable and normal, depending on the facts and interpretations exist. Controversy history will provide the knowledge and insight that is wider to its readers. Controversy will bear a strong passion to constantly explore and conduct a study to find out from various historical sources so that later obtained a historical truth based on historical facts are accountable. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tari cakalele pada generasi muda desa Togawa, untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai yang terkandung didalam tari cakalele didesa Togawa dan untuk mengetahui upaya masyarakat Togawa dalam pewarisan budaya tari cakalele pada generasi muda Togawa. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Desa Togawa Kecamatan Galela selatan Kbaupaten Halmahera Utara. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasakan hasil di Desa Togawa Kecamatan Galela Selatan Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, bahwa tari cakalele pada generasi muda di Desa Togawa, Kecamatan Galela Selatan, Kabupaten Halmahera Utara Generasi muda tidak mempunyai persepsi terhadap kesenian tari tradisional tari cakalele, karena mereka tidak pernah diajari seni tari cakalele oleh orang tua dan orang-orang sekitar mereka, sehingga generasi muda cenderung menganggap kesenian tradisional daerahnya merupakan susuatu yang kuno dan ketinggalan zaman, sehingga lambat laun timbul sifat generasi muda yang kurang bahkan tidak mencintai kesenian daerahnya.    Kata kunci : Pelaksanaan Tari Cakalele, Generasi Muda, di Desa Togawa.
