Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to see investor behavior in making investment decisions influenced by cognitive biases, namely overconfidence bias and the illusion of control bias by looking at the situational factors such as age, gender, and education. Design/methodology/approach – This study is conducted using a quantitative method by distributing a questionnaire. The questionnaires are measured using a 5-point Likert scale. The samples are taken from the population of individual investors in Bandung, West Java, with a number of 100 respondents. Findings – The results of this study prove that: (1) Illusion of control bias has an influence on investors’ decision-making, (2) Gender and education moderates the influence between the illusion of control bias on investor decision-making, (3) Age does not moderate the influence between the illusion of control bias on investor decision-making, (5) Overconfidence bias has an influence on investor decision-making, (6) Gender moderates the influence between overconfidence bias on investor decision-making, and (7) Age and education do not moderate the influence between overconfidence bias on investor decision-making. Research limitations/implications – The population in this study is limited to individual investors in Bandung. Future studies can conduct research in a similar direction using other populations, or focusing on a certain population, to ensure the generalizability of the results. Practical implications – Investors should be aware of cognitive biases while making decisions to invest. The biases can occur whether the investors realize it or not. Therefore, it would be useful for them to understand their cognitive biases so that investors can act rationally while making investment decisions. Originality/value – This study fills the research gap from the previous studies by examining the differences of investors' decision-making based on demographic factors, which are used as the moderating variables.

Abstract

Maksud dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kinerja bisnis melalui penyelarasan strategi bisnis perguruan tunggi swasta di kota Bandung .Penelitan ini menggunakan metode survei, dilakukan selama bulan April dan Mei 2019 dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif dan verifikatif. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat manajemen menengah atau puncak yang bekerja di perguruan tinggi swasta di wilayah Kareess yang ada di Kota Bandung. Pengujian deskriftif dengan menggunakan teknik penentuan score rata–rata, sedangkan penelitian verifikatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik pemodelan dan alat analisis Partial Least Squere (PLS). Pada perguruan tinggi swasta dengan keselarasan strategi tinggi informasi akan mengalir dengan mudah dan tepat ke semua bagian sehingga dapat menunjang pencapaian kinerja bisnis perguruan tinggi swasta.

Abstract

A service is difficult to measure, count, store, test and prove to guarantee a quality. Because the service is formless, the company has difficulty evaluating the quality of its service because it cannot see whether the quality of service received by the customer is exactly what is expected by the customer. The Langlangbuana University (Unla) Postgraduate Program has four study programs, namely Masters in Law, Masters in Management, Masters in Government Science, and Masters in Informatics Engineering facing special competition in organizing strata 2. This study aims at the extent to which the services organized by Unla Postgraduate in increasing the number of students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of conformity between the expectations of inpatients and the quality of health services at Ciamis Hospital. To determine the effect of service quality on inpatient satisfaction at Ciamis Hospital. In line with the problems and research hypotheses, this research was carried out using a survey design, namely research that took a sample from one population and used a questionnaire as a means of collecting basic data. In this study, a sample of 100 patients was used. The sampling technique in this study used a proportional random sampling technique. Quantitative analysis in this study will use validity and reliability tests with Cronbach's Alpha. Classical assumption test includes heteroscedasticity test and normality test. To test the hypothesis using multiple linear regression. All tests used the SPSS 11.5 computer program. The results show that the overall service dimension, the suitability between the services provided by the Ciamis Hospital and the patient's expectations, there is a gap / level of satisfaction of (-0.36), this score is categorized in the medium group, although it has not fully met the patient's expectations but the services provided have been pretty good. Based on the results of the regression analysis above, it can be concluded that all variables from the dimensions of service quality (reliability, responsiveness, confidence, tangibles and empathy) together have a positive and significant influence on the satisfaction of inpatients at Ciamis Hospital. These results indicate that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, the biggest influence is the tangible variable (5.191) followed by responsiveness (4.280), reliability (4.059), empathy (1.989), and confidence (-4.205 ) on the satisfaction of inpatients at Ciamis Hospital. The result is R2 of (0.789) indicating that 78.9% of patient satisfaction variables can be explained by service quality, namely reliability, responsiveness, confidence, tangibles and empathy while the remaining 21.1% are explained by other variables that are not included in this research model.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of ERP management information system and employe’s competency on performance productivity at PT. Indorama in West Java. The model is based on research problem, that there is deviation between production target and realization. It is assumed that deviation occur because ERP information system and competency are not implement properly so there is gap on production target. Production target supporting by ERP information system and competency. The method that use in this research is quantitative descriptive method. Analysis unit in this research is oracle users which total 434 users such as population and got sampel 100 users by using Maksimum Likelihood (ML) techniques. Collecting data techniques in this research is study documentation, interview and quetioner. The analysis technique used to test the influence among variables is PLS SEM analysis. The study resulted that is a positive aspect from the influence of ERP management information system and employe’s competency on performance productivity at PT. Indorama in West Java.

Abstract

The development of the retail business has become very competitive due to offline and online competition. Business owners must provide the best service to customers because the dynamic behavior of customers encourages them to try other brands if their needs are not met. Because the number of competitors continues to increase and companies must have a good positioning and power to retain their customers and provide a positive word of mouth. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Brand Credibility on Word of Mouth through Customers and Customer Loyalty as Intervening at Mirota, Yogyakarta Campus. The design of this research is a causal study using hypotheses. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability purposive sampling. The analysis technique uses Partial Least Square (PLS) - Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Respondents were taken from 230 customers of Mirota Yogyakarta Campus in Yogyakarta with certain characteristics. The results show that Customer and Customer Loyalty is an intervention between Word of Mouth Brand Credibility, there is an effect of Brand Credibility on Customer goals and Customer Loyalty, there is an influence of Customer and Customer Loyalty on Word of Mouth, and there is an influence of Customer and Customer Loyalty on Word of Mouth. . Other results show that there is an influence of Customers on Customer Loyalty.

Abstract

Investasi langsung atau FDI, kependekan dari Investasi Langsung Asing, adalah salah satu sumber keuangan yang paling signifikan bagi suatu negara, terutama di negara berkembang. Arus masuk modal asing jangka panjang, seperti FDI, kurang rentan terhadap gejolak ekonomi dibandingkan arus masuk jangka pendek. Untuk memastikan kemajuan ekonomi jangka panjang, investasi asing langsung (FDI) sangat penting di ASEAN, khususnya. Penanaman Modal Asing (FDI) di kawasan Asia Tenggara secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh pangsa pasar, keterbukaan pasar, dan inflasi.

Abstract

Faktor kepemimpinan merupakan hal yang sangat mempengaruhi jalannya perusahaan. Dalam hal ini, gaya kepemimpinan akan mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan dalam sebuah perusahaan. Kemudian integritas para pegawai pun akan turut menentukan tingkat kinerja pegawai serta nilai-nilai etos kerja yang diyakinai oleh para pegawai itu sendiri juga dapat mempengaruhi tingkat loyalitas kepada perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengukur sejauh mana tingkat loyaliotas para karyawan yang berada di BRI Syariah KC Bandung Citarum, hal ini diukur melalui variabel gaya kepemimpinan, kedisiplinan yang dapat mempengaruhi etos kerja dan selanjutnya akan berdampak pada tingkat loyalitas karyawan. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah yang telah diuraikan di atas maka dapat diidentifikasi masalah sebagai berikut: Bagaimana pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap etos kerja integritas karyawan di BRI Syariah KC Bandung Citarum? Bagaimana pengaruh integritas kerja terhadap etos kerja karyawan di BRI Syariah KC Bandung Citarum ? Bagaimana pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, integritas, etos kerja dan loyalitas karyawan di BRI Syariah KC Bandung Citarum? Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan teknik analisa yang digunakan adalah dengan analisa jalur (path analysis) untuk mengetahui pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan, Disiplin Kerja terhadap Etos Kerja dan dampaknya kepada tngkat loyalitas para karyawan di BRI Syariah KC Bandung Citarum. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Gaya Kepemimpinan, Integritas Kerja, etos Kerja dan Loyalitas karyawan di BRI Syariah KC Bandung Citarum secara umum sudah baik. Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Integritas Kerja secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap etos kerja karyawan di BRI Syariah KC Bandung Citarum, dan Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Integritas kerja berpengaruh terhadap Etos Kerja dan memberikan dampak terhadap yaitu Loyalitas Karyawan di BRI Syariah KC Bandung Citarum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh modal kerja dan hutang terhadap laba bersih pada perusahaan sub sektor kosmetik dan keperluan rumah tangga yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia 2012-2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan metode verfikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Total sampel sebanyak Lima perusahaan. Teknik pengambilan sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Dаtа yаng digunаkаn аdаlаh lаporаn keuаngаn yаng berаsаl dаri Bursа Efek Indonesiа Periode 2012-2016. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, modal kerja secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap laba bersih. Hutang secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap laba bersih. Secara simultan modal kerja dan hutang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap laba bersih.

Abstract

This research is intended to examine the influence of ownership structure and company growth on the financial performance of manufacturing companies listed on the BEI in 2016. Ownership structure is measured through managerial and institutional ownership structures, company growth is measured by changes in asset value. The dependent variable is financial performance, measured through ROA (return on assets). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The final number of samples that met the criteria was 110 companies from 144 manufacturing companies registered on the BEI for the 2016 period. The analytical method used was multiple regression analysis. The results of the research show that (1) Ownership structure has a positive effect on the company's financial performance, (2) Company growth has a positive effect on the company's financial performance, (3) Ownership structure and company growth simultaneously have a positive effect on the company's financial performance.
