Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of examining the role of social capital in preserving mangrove plants in Tongke Tongke Village, East Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of this research show that there are three important indicators in the application of social capital, namely trust, norms, and networking. The application of social capital is considered important for the people of Tongke Tongke Village because the application of trust indicators can form social interactions that can last for a long time, and the application of norms can help the community comply with the rules in managing mangrove forests as a source of life and the existence of a network built by the Tongke Tongke Village government. both internal and external help in preserving mangrove forests which must be maintained by all parties, both government and community. The condition of the mangrove forests in Tongke - Tongke Village, East Sinjai District requires effective forest rehabilitation and integrated management. In integrated mangrove forest management, the role of each stakeholder involved in the management is very necessary. Mangrove forest management in Tongke - Tongke Village involves local communities and the condition of the mangrove forests in the village is starting to improve and some are still experiencing damage, this cannot be separated from the social capital of the local community who manage and utilize the mangrove forests.

Abstract

Dalam kegiatan operasional Perum Bulog dari pengadaan gabah/beras, penggilingan, penyimpanan, perawatan dan penyaluran (Supply Chain Management) kepada konsumen akhir merupakan satu mata rantai proses yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Pada setiap kegiatan dalam mata rantai proses dilakukan kontrol terhadap kualitas gabah/beras. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu menekankan objek yang ada di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur pengadaan beras pada Perum Bulog Sub-Divre Kota Parepare. Adapun prosedur pengadaan yang dilakukan dimulai dari pemasok sebagai Mitra Kerja Pengadaan mengajukan pengadaan beras kepada kepala Sub-Divre Kota Parepare, dengan melakukan Kontrak Jual Beli dengan Mitra Kerja. Selanjutnya, Mitra Kerja akan mengirim beras ke gudang yang telah ditunjuk berdasarkan kontrak yang telah disetujui dan petugas di gudang Bulog akan mengecek kelayakan beras sesuai standar yang telah ditentukan oleh Perum Bulog Sub-Divre Kota Parepare. Beras yang sesuai standar, diterima oleh kepala gudang kemudian pembayaran akan dilakukan di Bank.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the rationality and social networks formed among fishermen farmers who live and run farms in tidal areas in the Tempe Lake area. The study was conducted in Tempe Lake area, covering Salo Menraleng and Laelo villages, Tempe sub-district, Wajo district from April to May 2016. The assessment method used was the Rapid Rural Appraisal method. Interviews were conducted repeatedly with 2-3 people from the community who work as farmers-fishermen, heads of farmer groups, community leaders and local agricultural extension workers. The interview was considered complete when it had reached a saturation point, i.e. there were no more things to ask. The process of forming rational choices of fishermen farmers who live and run farms in tidal areas in the Tempe Lake area is the existence of actors in this case are fishermen farmers and resources (land) where the relationship between the two is power and interests. The power here means that the landowner fishermen farmers have the right to work on anything in the natural conditions that occur in the Tempe Lake area to fulfill their interests or goals. The goal is to fulfill food needs and a source of family income. This is the reason and background they make decisions or actions in the form of farming methods, cropping patterns, selection of rice varieties and switching from secondary crops to rice. The social network formed among fishermen farmers is a sense of knowing each other, informing each other, reminding and helping in carrying out or overcoming something. Social networks will not materialize without being based on norms and mutual trust. The network of farmer group formation can be used as a means to learn to increase the productivity of their rice farming land.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the magnitude of money generated from carrot farming in the research area, as well as the impact of carrot farming income on the local economy. Based on the completed analysis, carrot cultivation in Kanreapia Village, Tombolo Pao District, Gowa Regency yields an average income of IDR 80,000,000 per hectare. The respondents incurred an average of IDR 6,810,000/ha in fixed expenditures. The respondents experienced an average variable cost of IDR 7,950,000 per hectare for cultivating carrots. The primary expenses are variable costs, encompassing the expenditures on seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, and labor (including land preparation, planting, and harvesting). Among these variable costs, the biggest expense is attributed to inorganic fertilizer, amounting to IDR 2,900,000. Conversely, the most economical expenses are known as fixed costs, including the mean devaluation amount of the equipment utilized by the participants. Tractors incur the highest equipment depreciation expenses, totaling IDR 2,000,000, while sprayers and scythes have the lowest costs, totaling IDR 80,000. The respondents experienced an average production cost of IDR 14,760,000 per acre. The farmers have an average income of IDR 65,240,000 per hectare by cultivating carrots. Based on the findings of this study, the mean income per hectare earned by carrot farmers in Kanreapia Village, Tombolo Pao District, Gowa Regency is reported.

Abstract

The role of extension workers in assisting farmers to extend insurance has increased and the level of satisfaction felt by farmers has increased. This study aims to determine the assistance of extension workers in the extension of cattle farmer insurance (AUTS) in Central Sinjai District. The determination of the village sample is determined randomly by determining the sample and population that meets certain characteristics as a barrier with a sample size of 83 respondents. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the role of the extension agent had the highest value of 3.759. The AUTS renewal process participants pay a premium of Rp. 40,000 per year which is included in the government subsidy. The instructor acts as a connector in terms of the fee process at the Indonesia Insurance Service (Jasindo) which must be paid according to the applicable policy. This is in accordance with (Agriculture & Farming, 2021), that farmers are accompanied by livestock officers / UPTD / BPP / Veterinarians in filling out registration forms and premium payments in the AUTS registration or renewal process 3.759. While the lowest value in assisting the extension of AUTS participants is the assistance of subsidy identification data, which is 3.228, because the participant's data already exists in the previous data. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the role of the extension agent is mostly in the good category, and the assistance most felt by farmers is the collection of premiums which has the highest value of 3.759.
