Abstract

Abstrak: E-learning merupakan singkatan dari electronic learning, merupakan cara baru dalam proses belajar mengajar yang menggunakan media elektronik khususnya internet sebagai sistem pembelajarannya Universitas Terbuka (UT) memiliki aplikasi e-learning yang di beri nama Tuton (tutorial online) Sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh yang di gunakan UT sekarang sangat membantu dosen dan mahasiswa dalam proses belajar dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang sudah maju seperti sekarang ini. Pada studi ini, kami mencoba menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa dan tutor dalam pemanfaatan fitur dan fasilitas Office 365 dalam tuton dan praktek online. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Tanggapan terhadap perlu tidaknya fitur dipengaruhi oleh usia, gender, pendidikan, pelatihan tuton, dan aktivitas tuton. Kecuali pada fasilitas konferensi online dan berbagi cerita digital, tanggapan terhadap perlu tidaknya fasilitas dipengaruhi usia, gender, pendidikan, pekerjaan, pelatihan dan atau aktivitas tuton. Oleh karena itu, rekomendasi yang kami ajukan adalah diperlukan adanya kegiatan yang dirancang untuk mencapai optimalisasi pembelajaran jarak jauh antara lain penguatan lingkungan tuton dan prakton, perlunya peningkatan kompetensi TIK staf akademik dan keterlibatannya dalam tuton/prakton, perlunya peningkatan kapasitas pelayanan prima kepada semua pemangku kepentingan UT dan pengembangan dan peningkatan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi standar dalam Moodle dan Office365 agar bisa saling melengkapi.Abstract: One of the main means to enhance student’s learning activities is by implementing technology in their learning activities. Nowadays, many universities in the world had applied this method due to many benefits that its offer. Universitas Terbuka (UT) is one of distance learning institution in Indonesia that had applied this method for its student. Therefore, this research intends to investigate the perceptions of students and tutors in utilizing the features and facilities of Office365 in online tutorial and online practicum. Furthermore, the perceptions of students and tutors that was analyzed include the use of standard applications contained in Moodle and their expectations in utilizing Office365 features and facilities for online tutorials and online practicum. This study employs online survey that consists of 11 items. The perception of student regarding the Office365 features is influenced by age, gender, education, online tutorial training, and online tutorial activities. The students’ responses of Office365 facilities are affected by age, gender, education, employment, training and online tutorial activities. Office365’s features and facilities are most likely to influence the effectiveness of the distance learning process since students have the opportunity to interact with their teachers, peers, and learning materials. Moreover, the Office365 enable student to access the material through this facility. The other benefit is the existence of forum that could be used as discussions means between student and lecturer. Hence we recommend that all online activities should be designed to achieve the optimization of distance learning such as strengthening the online tutorial and online practicum, improving the ICT competence of academic staff and their involvement in online tutorial and online practicum, improving services to all UT’s stakeholders and developing an upgrade of standard application training of Moodle and Office365

Abstract

Salted  sh is still prefered by community of Indonesia. Salted  sh processing by traditional method depent on the intensity of sunlight. To reduce depence, some processors used chemicals as a preservative. The purpose of the study is identi ed the level of use of hazardous chemicals in salted the processing of salted  sh. The research’s design was explanatory research design. The population were all of the salted  sh processors in Muara Angke andCilincing, North Jakarta. Respondent choosen randomly to get 73 salted  sh processors, 55 persons of them were located at Muara Angke and another 18 were from Cilincing. Data collected consist of primary data, used survey methods. Then data was analysed with descriptif-analysis and Rank Spearman correlation. The results indicated that the hazardous chemicals (formalin and bleach) were still used by the processor. Level of usage hazardous chemicals is signi cantly associated with perception processors of consumer knowledge. Education of consumers about the hazardous chemicals needs to be improved so that consumers did not want to buy salted  sh products with chemicals, thereby to suppress the use of chemicals in the processing of salted  sh. Government oversight of the use of hazardous chemicals was still relatively low, so that should be improved to encourage processors to be willing to process naturally salted  sh and leave the chemicals.Keywords: chemicals, government oversight, salted  sh, salted  sh processor

Abstract

The implementation of credit transfer at Universitas Terbuka refers to the Rector's Regulation Number 119, 2018. This credit transfer could only be carried out once when students registered themselves at very first time. Recognition of credit transfer is accepted whn accomplishment of courses have been obtained from their previous universities. Through the provision of credit transfer recognition services, students are expected to be able to finish their study faster. Students can apply for credit transfer through the Faculty which would then be proceed by Study Program. Students are required to collect documents such as diplomas, transcripts, descriptions of courses at their previous university, and the submissions for courses intended to be transferred for credit. The documents which are in form of print out would later be processed in their respective Study Programs. During the process, the Study Program compiled the documents manually by recording and determining the courses approved for credit transfer. However, the study Program hasn’t used a special application. Due to this limitation, several problems occurred in the process, such as the absence of filing the credit transfer application documents, the ineffectiveness of storing the credit transfer master block in the Study Program, and the large number of credit transfer applications. These problems often result in delays in the credit transfer process, thus disrupting academic services for students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a credit transfer application that can assist in the implementation of credit transfer in the Faculty of Science and Technology. The methodology used to develop this credit transfer application is the waterfall model. For design modeling using UML (Unified Modeling Language), while software testing uses Black Box Testing and usability and acceptance tests applied the PSSUQ (Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire) method. From the results of the tests, it showed that Black Box Testing got test results of 100%, while the usability and acceptance tests using the PSSUQ method got 68% of respondents. The conclusion of this study showed that the application is ready to use and the users Agree/Good/Like on the development of a web-based credit transfer application at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universitas Terbuka (case study of Information Systems Study Program). Kata kunci: Credit transfer, Web, Waterfall, , Black Box Testing, PSSUQ.

Abstract

Perubahan fisika dan kimia dalam timbunan kompos diteliti selama proses pengomposan limbah pembuatan botol yang terkontaminasi oleh gemuk (grease). Temperature awal menunjukkan peningkatan diikuti oleh penurunan secara bertahap pada akhir proses pengomposan. C:N rasio dan bahan tambahan nampaknya mempunyai pengaruh yang paling nyata dalam memproduksi temperatur tinggi. Proses pengomposan selama lima (5) bulan tidak menghilangkan kontaminan sampai batas yang dipersyaratkan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan waktu tambahan guna mengurangi kontaminan sampai level yang ditetapkan. Proses pengomposan ini berhasil dalam menghasilkan temperatur yang meningkat, namun parameter yang menyebabkan kenaikan temperatur tersebut masih belum jelas.

Abstract

Growth media waste of white oyster mushroom cultivation can be used as ruminant feed. We observed the nutrient content of the growth media waste. The focus is on the protein, carbohydrate, mineral and crude fiber. The protein, calcium and phosphor content of white oyster mushroom growth media waste is higher than the protein content in the media before it was used for mushroom cultivation. However, the fat content is lower after the media was used than control (the media before it was used). The difference is caused by microorganism degradation. The growth media waste can be used as ruminant feed up to 75 % of total forage dry matter without any negative effect.

Abstract

Ciwaluh Sub-Village, Wates Jaya Village, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province has good tourism potential, but the local community is not aware of this. Based on the problems mentioned above, community empowerment efforts are needed through community service programs in Ciwaluh Tourism Village so that they can support the slogan of Bogor Regency as a tourist city. The goal is to create a tourism village development. Training, mentoring, and implementation are carried out for 6 months from May to October 2021. Meanwhile, the partner for cooperation in the implementation of community service is the Ciwaluh Village Tourism Group, Wates Jaya Village, Cigombong District, Bogor Regency. The objectives of Community Service activities in Ciwaluh Tourism Village are: (1) Developing tourism potential through participatory planning; (2) Creating institutional governance; (3) Increasing human resource capacity; (4) Making tourism facilities in Ciwaluh village; and (5 ) The establishment of coffee agribusiness in the Ciwaluh tourist area. The method used is the analysis of tourist attraction, analysis of tourism supporters, analysis of local communities. The physical targets that have been achieved from this community service activity are optimizing tourism potential, both natural scenery and water tourism by making directions to tourist attractions, adding spots for selfies, building camping ground (campgrounds) and local coffee seed centers. The non-physical target of this activity is to increase awareness and active participation of the Ciwaluh tourist village community. Kampung Ciwaluh, Desa Wates Jaya Kecamatan Cigombong, Kabupaten Bogor Propinsi Jawa Barat memiliki potensi wisata yang baik, tetapi masyarakat setempat belum menyadari hal ini. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut di atas maka di perlukan upaya Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Wisata Ciwaluh sehingga dapat mendukung slogan kabupaten Bogor sebagai kota wisata. Tujuannya yaitu terciptanya pengembangan desa wisata. Pelatihan, pendampingan, dan implentasi dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan dari Mei sampai dengan Oktober 2021. Sedangkan Mitra kerjasama dalam pelaksanaan abdimas adalah Kelompok Wisata Kampung Ciwaluh Desa Wates Jaya Kecamatan Cigombong Kabupaten Bogor. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat di Kampung Wisata Ciwaluh adalah: (1) Pengembangan potensi wisata melalui perencanaan partisipatif; (2) Terciptanya tata kelola kelembagaan; (3) Peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia; (4) Membuat kelengkapan wisata di desa Ciwaluh; dan (5) Terbentuknya agribisnis kopi di daerah wisata Ciwaluh. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis daya tarik objek wisata, analisis pendukung pariwisata, analisis masyarakat setempat. Target fisik yang telah dicapai dari kegiatan abdimas ini adalah optimalisasi potensi wisata baik wisata pemandangan alam maupun wisata air dengan dibuatnya penunjuk arah menuju tempat wisata, penambahan spot untuk swafoto, terbangunnya camping ground (bumi perkemahan) dan pusat bibit kopi lokal. Target non fisik dari kegiatan ini adalah kesadaran dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat kampung wisata Ciwaluh meningkat.

Abstract

Artikel ini menyajikan hasil studi selama tiga semester mengenai kepuasan mahasiswa dengan instruksi daring di Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia. Makalah ini membahas bagaimana kinerja tutor mempengaruhi persepsi mahasiswa dalam belajar secara daring. Penelitian ini mempelajari lebih jauh dari penelitian sebelumnya tentang kepuasan mahasiswa dengan e-learning. Peneliti melakukan serangkaian survei selama tiga semester. Empat puluh satu siswa berpartisipasi dalam studi ini. Secara keseluruhan, siswa menilai instruktur online sebagai cukup memuaskan. Tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa agribisnis dengan tutor online di UT terutama puas (63%). Lebih dari sembilan belas persen memiliki tingkat yang sangat puas. Berdasarkan analisis komponen utama, penelitian ini mengungkapkan enam struktur dari tingkat kepuasan dengan tutor online; (1) perantara diskusi (62,20%), (2) strategi tutorial (79,18%), (3) umpan balik pada pendapat siswa (84,69%), (4) tetap pada jadwal (89,12%), (5) membuat ringkasan (92,24%), dan (6) menyediakan bahan pembelajaran yang menarik (94,64%). This article presents the results of a three-semester study of undergraduate students’ level of satisfaction with online instruction at Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia. The paper discusses how tutor performance affect student’s perception of online learning.The study expands on earlier research into student satisfaction with e-learning. Researcher conducted a series of surveys over three academic semester. Forty-one students participated in the study. Responses were consistent throughout, although there were some differences noted in the level of student satisfaction with their experience. Overall, students rated their online instructor as moderately satisfactory.The satisfaction level of agribusiness students with online tutor at UTwas mainly satisfied (63%). More than nineteen percent had a very satisfied level.Based on principal component analysis, this study revealed six structures of satisfaction level with online tutor; (1) moderating discussion (62,20%), (2) tutorial strategy (79,18%), (3) feedback on student's opinion (84,69%), (4) keep on schedule (89,12%), (5) making summary (92,24%), and (6) providing attractive learning material (94,64%).

Abstract

Agriculture Extension and Communication undergraduate study program (S1 Agribusiness) at Universitas Terbuka (UT) has been opened since 2004.Starting from the registration period of 2012.2, Agribusiness Study Program has been issuing practicum guide as a guidance for students to do their practicum indepedently. This study aims to get students' perceptions of self-practicum management regarding the implementation of independent practicum guidance and analyzet he constraints that exist in the field experienced by the students. The survey is conducted on students who took practicum during the registration periods of 2013.1 to 2014.2. A survey is conducted by questionnaires. The questionnaire asks three aspects of practicum implementation which are practicum guidance aspect, material aspect and of practical support services aspect. Students' perceptions regarding practical implementation are positive, although there are tendencies of having difficulties in understanding the practical guidelines. They feel the guideline is not systematic and lack of details.. The language used in the guideline regarded by most non-extension students as difficult to understand. Students expect the practical guide to be more detailed and clear. They said that it would be easier if at any part of the report is written in great detail of what should they fill, there should be an explanation of how the repot will be rated. Although in general students have positive perceptions, there were some students who had dificulties in accessing practical guidance, obtaining materials and tools, and having qualified and competent instructor. Another constraint felt by most of the students is the marks sometimes received behind the schedule. Mulai masa registrasi 2012.2 Program Studi Agribisnis Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Terbuka (FMIPA-UT) menerapkan pelaksanaan praktikum mandiri dan memberlakukan Panduan Pelaksanaan PraktikumMandiri yang dirancang sebagai panduan bagi peserta praktikum untuk melaksanakan praktikum secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan datapersepsi mahasiswa terhadap pedoman dan pelaksanaan praktikum mandiri, serta kendala-kendala di lapangan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa.Survei dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa yang mengambil praktikum pada masa registrasi 2013.1 sampai dengan 2014.2 dengan meminta mereka mengisi kuesioner. Kuesioner menanyakan tiga aspek dari pelaksanaan praktikum yaitu aspek pedoman praktikum, aspek materi praktikum dan aspek layanan penunjang praktikum. Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pelaksanaan praktikum cukup positif, meskipun ada kecenderungan mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan memahami pedoman praktikum. Mereka merasakan panduan praktikum kurang sistematis dan detail. Bahasa yang digunakan dalam panduan oleh sebagian mahasiswa non penyuluh dianggap sulit dipahami. Mahasiswa mengharapkan panduan praktikum dibuat lebih detail dan jelas. Mereka mengatakan akan lebih mudah jika pada setiap bagian laporan dituliskan secara detail hal-hal yang harus mereka masukkan, jika perlu diberikan kisi-kisi penilaian laporan. Meskipun secara umum persepsi mahasiswa terhadap praktikum positif, namun masih ada sebagian mahasiswa yang mengalami kendala dalam hal mengakses panduan praktikum, memperoleh bahan dan alat praktikum serta tidak mudah mendapatkan instruktur yang kompeten. Kendala lain yang dirasakan sebagian besar mahasiswa adalah nilai praktikum yang tidak diterima sesuai jadwal.

Abstract

During Covid-19 pandemic, online learning has been implemented as a strategic solution by many universities to prevent the spread of the Covid-19. This new teaching learning practice has encouraged researchers to conduct a survey of student readiness and satisfaction with the online learning services. This study aims to uncover two strategic issues including factors that influence student readiness and satisfaction and the level of student readiness and satisfaction dealing with online learning services. This research employs quantitative research methods using online surveys and involving all students who were actively registered in 2019 and 2020 both UT and non-UT students who participated in online learning services. Samples, however, were taken from all respondents covering western, central, and eastern Indonesia. It was discovered that structurally, supporting aspects contribute around 37%, prospect aspects 25%, benefit aspects 23%, and constraint aspects 11%, towards a dimension of the formation of participants' online learning perceptions. The findings show that participants have quite different views on supporting aspects, benefits, or prospects of online learning from the aspects of constraints. The relationship among the three distribution groups of variable categories shows three quite different positions in terms of participants' perceptions on online learning, namely accepting, moderate or opposing positions. Their opinion on online learning programs, during the Covid-19 outbreak, participants differed in their opposing positions on the one hand and moderate positions on the other, especially regarding costs, trends, and prices of devices/supporting equipment for online learning participants.

Abstract

Potensi bahan pakan ternak yang ada di desa Tegal Kecamatan Kemang Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat secara optimal belum mampu untuk mendukung produktivitas dan reproduktivitas ternak yang diusahakan, karena nilai nutrisi dan kecernaannya yang rendah. Kelemahan pemanfaatan limbah pertanian sebagai pakan adalah kandungan seratnya yang tinggi (35 - 45%) dan kadar proteinnya yang rendah (1,8 – 3,5%). Oleh karena itu dalam pemanfaatannya perlu dilakukan pengolahan. Peternak di wilayah Tegal, kecamatan Kemang belum terbiasa dengan teknologi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas ternaknya, khususnya teknologi pakan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan teknologi Amonia Fermentasi (Amofer) menghasilkan pemanfaatan limbah pertanian sebagai pakan alternatif untuk ternak kambing. Teknologi amonia-fermentasi dapat meningkatkan produktivitas ternak karena dapat meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan dan memperbaiki reproduksi ternak. Upaya peningkatan reproduksi ternak kambing dapat ditempuh juga melalui pemberian pakan penguat/tambahan yang dinamakan flushing. Dengan flushing mempercepat waktu terjadinya estrus/birahi bagi kambing lokal calon induk menjadi sekitar 10 bulan. Melalui teknologi flushing terjadi estrus yang lebih cepat (menjadi 3 bulan pasca beranak), sehingga dihasilkan 3 kali beranak dalam 2 tahun. Selain itu dengan pakan flushing, akan meningkatkan goat crop 10 – 20%, sehingga akan mempercepat pertambahan populasi kambing lokal dengan kualitas yang baik. Peningkatan kemampuan reproduksi ternak kambing lokal akibat pemberian pakan flushing pada akhirnya akan mampu meningkatkan populasi ternak kambing lokal secara lebih cepat, karena kambing lokal akan efisien dalam aktivitas reproduksinya. Peningkatan efisiensi reproduksi ini jelas akan meningkatkan populasi ternak di suatu wilayah, sekaligus peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat.
