Abstract

Meaningful learning is assumed as one of the solutions to overcome various problems in literacy teaching. Meaningful learning is the learning arranged in accordance with the cognitive structure of the students so as to facilitate students to understand new information with the cognitive structure they have. One is the culture and environment of everyday students that are integrated into the learning process. With teachers integrating culture into the learning process means teachers have carried out culturally responsive teaching. Culturally responsive teaching is learning that uses diverse cultural characteristics, experiences, and ethnic perspectives of students as a channel for more effective teaching. One culture that can be integrated into the learning process, especially writing poetry is a game of Joli-Joli which is a game of children in the Minangkabau area. Joli-Joli games are integrated into meaningful learning steps to become meaningful models of culturally responsive teaching. In addition to enriching the vocabulary needed in writing poetry, joli-joli game also contains Minangkabau cultural values that are instrumental in the formation of student attitudes and characters.

Abstract

Abstrak:     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bahasa perempuan dalam novel Bidadari Bermata Bening karya Habiburrahman El-Shirazy. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan ancangan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan melalui model Miles, Huberman, & Saldana. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penggunaan kosakata dan pemilihan gramatikal yang digunakan tokoh perempuan dalam novel dapat diinterpretasikan cara pandang dan ideologi tertentu dari tokoh tersebut dalam rangka mempertahankan dan memperjuangkan hak-haknya di tengah dominasi dan kekuasaan orang-orang di sekitarnya.Kata kunci: bahasa, perempuan, novel Abstract:    This study aim to describe of woman’s Language on Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy. The Approach used in this study was a qualitative approach with a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) method. Data collection is done through document study. Data analysis was carried out through the models of Miles, Huberman, & Saldana. The results of the study show through the use of vocabulary and the grammatical choice used by woman in novels can be interpreted in certain ways and ideologies of women in order to defend and fight for their rights amid the dominance and power those around them.Keyword:   language, woman, novel

Abstract

Abstract: This study describes the learning process of inner and physical structure of poetry understanding through the use of Student Team Achievement and Division (STAD) and Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) cooperative learning models. In addition to the cooperative learning models, literary reading interest is also used as a consideration in the learning process of poetry understanding. This experimental study involved 63 samples from a total of 124 people. Samples were randomly selected and assigned into two experimental groups. The experimental group I, with a total of 33 subjects, was treated with the STAD model, while the experimental group II, with a total of 30 subjects, was treated with the CIRC model. The subjects in the two experimental groups were assigned to complete a literary reading interest questionnaire. After the treatment, a poetry understanding test was given to the subjects in the two groups. A t-test was subsequently used to examine the students learning outcome, by considering their interest in literary reading. The results of data analysis showed no significant differences in the application of cooperative learning models in poetry understanding. Both students with high and low literary reading interest found the learning models helpful in improving their performance in the understanding inner and physical structure of poetry. Students with low literary reading interest were motivated in the learning process as a result of the teamwork in completing the poetry understanding tasks. Keywords: poetry understanding, cooperative learning, literary reading interest PEMAHAMAN PUISI MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran memahami struktur batin dan struktur fisik puisi menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement and Division (STAD) dan Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Selain menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif, minat baca sastra juga menjadi pertimbangan dalam proses pembelajaran memahami puisi. Penelitian eksperimen ini dilakukan pada 63 orang sampel dari 124 orang populasi. Sampel dipilih secara acak dan ditugaskan ke dalam dua kelompok eksperimen. Kelompok eksperimen I dengan jumlah partisipan 33 orang diberikan perlakuan dengan model STAD dan kelompok eksperimen II dengan jumlah partisipan 30 orang diberikan perlakuan dengan model CIRC. Sampel pada kedua kelompok eksperimen diminta untuk mengisi angket minat baca sastra. Setelah diberikan perlakuan, sampel pada kedua kelompok eksperimen mengerjakan tes pilihan ganda memahami puisi. Hasil belajar kedua kelompok dengan menggunakan uji t-test dibandingkan dengan pertimbangan minat baca sastra. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif dalam proses memahami puisi. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan dapat membantu meningkatkan kinerja siswa dalam memahami struktur batin dan struktur fisik puisi, baik mahasiswa dengan minat baca sastra tinggi maupun mahasiswa dengan minat baca rendah. Mahasiswa yang memiliki minat baca sastra rendah termotivasi dalam proses pembelajaran karena adanya kerjasama tim dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas belajar memahami puisi. Kata Kunci: pemahaman puisi, pembelajaran kooperatif, minat baca sastra

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to explain the role of libraries as supporters of distance learning when of the Covid-19 pandemic. Distance learning is done by utilizing technology as a means to connect instructors and students. In the process of distance learning, program readiness, technology, instructors, and learning resources become the main elements of learning success. Library as a source of information to complement the learning resources must be an ideal library. An ideal library is a library that contains four criteria, namely: a complete library collection, library managers have a wide network, have fast, precise and easy access to information services, both manual and online, and have a routine agenda for certain programs. to increase reading interest and visitor attraction. Teachers and parents play an important role in supporting student learning activities in the form of distance learning. When of the Covid-19 pandemic, cooperation from teachers and parents in controlling the learning of students will greatly assist the implementation of the learning process. Keywords: the role of libraries, distance learning, Covid-19 AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran perpustakaan sebagai pendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh di masa pandemik Covid-19. Pembelajaran jarak jauh dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai sarana untuk menghubungkan pendidik dan peserta didik. Dalam proses pembelajaran jarak jauh, kesiapan program, teknologi, pendidik, dan sumber belajar menjadi elemen utama keberhasilan pembelajaran. Perpustakaan sebagai sumber informasi untuk melengkapi sumber belajar harus menjadi perpustakaan yang ideal. Perpustakaan yang ideal merupakan perpustakaan yang mengandung empat kriteria, yaitu: koleksi perpustakaan yang lengkap, pengelola perpustakaan memiliki jaringan yang luas, memiliki akses yang cepat, tepat dan mudah dalam pelayanan informasi, baik manual maupun online, serta memiliki agenda rutin untuk program-program tertentu untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan daya tarik pengunjung. Pendidik dan orang tua berperan penting untuk mendukung aktivitas belajar peserta didik dalam bentuk pembelajaran jarak jauh. Di masa pandemik Covid-19 ini, kerja sama dari pendidik dan orang tua dalam mengontrol pembelajaran peserta didik akan sangat membantu terlaksananya proses pembelajaran.Kata Kunci:  peran perpustakaan, pembelajaran jarak jauh, Covid-19

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the uniqueness of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) and Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) models in terms of poetry learning. This is a quantitative study that uses a pure experimental method. The randomized posttest in the control group was used as the experimental design. With the average similarity test, the study sample was chosen randomly, class of Experiment I and Experiment II. The STAD model was used to teach poetry to experimental class I, and the CIRC model was used to teach poetry to experimental class II. Both learning models can be employed in poetry learning, according to the findings, because they improve poetry understanding skills, social skills in terms of interpreting poetry content, and the process and ultimate outcomes of poetry learning. Both types have their own distinct characteristics that make them suited for poetry instruction. The STAD model differs from others in that it creates opportunities for students to collaborate in groups, take responsibility, and high abilities. The CIRC model is unique in that it divides students into groups according to their level of reading interest, collaborate and encourage one another.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keunikan Model STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) dan CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) dalam pembelajaran puisi.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen murni. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah the randomized posttest only control group design. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara random dengan uji kesamaan rata-rata, yakni kelas Eksperimen I dan Eksperimen II. Kelas eksperimen I menerima pengajaran puisi dengan model STAD dan kelas eksperimen II menerima pengajaran puisi dengan model CIRC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua model pembelajaran dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran puisi karena memberi dampak pada peningkatan keterampilan memahami puisi, peningkatan kemampuan sosial dalam hal memaknai isi puisi, dan peningkatan proses dan hasil belajar puisi secara keseluruhan. Keunikan model STAD adalah pemberian reward yang memberikan dorongan kepada mahasiswa untuk berkolaborasi kelompok, bertanggung, dan pendampingan agar kemampuan kelompok merata. Keunikan model CIRC adalah pembagian kelompok yang didasarkan pada tinggi rendahnya minat baca mahasiswa, bekerja sama, dan saling memotivasi.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan problematika pembelajaran menulis cerpen di sekolah tujuan SM-3T. Kondisi masyarakat yang masih buta huruf dan fasilitas pembelajaran yang belum memadai merupakan permasalahan yang perlu diperhatikan oleh guru dan penyelenggara pendidikan terlebih pada pembelajaran menulis cerpen. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian melalui studi dokumen dan wawancara. Studi dokumen dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang problematika pembelajaran menulis cerpen. Sementara, wawancara dilakukan secara tertutup dengan mengajukan pertanyaan secara tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masalah pembelajaran menulis cerpen berhubungan dengan guru, siswa, dan sumber belajar. Siswa umumnya mengalami buta huruf dan tidak terbuka dengan dunia luar. Siswa lebih sering menggunakan bahasa daerah daripada bahasa Indonesia dengan kosakata yang sangat terbatas. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen adalah menerapkan metode "Siapa Cepat Ia Sampai". Siswa memperkaya kosakata dengan membaca dan mengembangkan kosakata itu menjadi cerpen. Siswa juga dapat ditugaskan untuk membaca cerpen di rumah dan menceritakan kembali di depan kelas. Guru mengoreksi kosakata siswa yang belum tepat. Pembelajaran di sekolah tujuan SM-3T dapat dilakukan dengan baik selama guru mengajar sesuai dengan bidang keahliannya dan memiliki kreativitas dalam mengelola pembelajaran di kelas. The condition of illiterate people and inadequate learning facilities is a problem that needs to be considered by teachers and education providers especially in learning to write short stories. This study included qualitative research with a type of case study research. Data collection in research through document studies and interviews. Document studies are conducted to obtain information about the learning problems of writing short stories. Meanwhile, interviews are conducted in a closed manner by asking questions in writing. The results of the study indicate that the problem of learning to write short stories relates to teachers, students, and learning resources. Students generally experience illiteracy and are not open to the outside world. Students more often use regional languages ​​than Indonesian with very limited vocabulary. The effort made by the teacher in learning to write short stories is to apply the method "Who Is Fast He Arrives". Students enrich vocabulary by reading and developing the vocabulary into short stories. Students can also be assigned to read short stories at home and retell in front of the class. The teacher corrects the students' vocabulary that is not right. Learning in schools aiming at SM-3T can be done well as long as the teacher teaches according to his field of expertise and has creativity in managing classroom learning. Abstract

This activity is carried out to provide training in writing scientific articles worthy of publication in scientific journals. The method used is the lecture and question and answer method. From these activities, it was found that there were three weaknesses in writing scientific articles, namely: weaknesses in presenting research results in the form of scientific articles, grammatical problems, and not understanding paraphrasing techniques in writing. These three things can be overcome by frequent writing practices because writing requires practice not theory, increasing interest in reading scientific articles to be familiar with article models worthy of publication, and by itself will be accustomed to criticizing previous research findings.

Abstract

AbstractWoman’s language is a representation system reflecting woman’s views of the world. Such language can be found in oral and written texts, e.g.: novel. In the novel, female language containing certain ideology is identifiable through the interpretation of its vocabularies and grammar. Woman’s choice of words represents certain ideology and her views of life. In this writing, such ideology in woman’s vocabularies and grammar in the novel is studied using qualitative approach and content analysis method based on Fairclough’s theory developed by Santoso. Generally, woman’slanguage in the novel shows a modern and brave point of view of an Islamic boarding school woman to face every conflict in her life. The novel taught us that only knowledgeable and strongly virtuous woman that can withstand and defend her rights among the dominant and powerful people around her. It is shown in her use of words and choice of grammar.AbstrakBahasa perempuan adalah suatu sistem representasi yang mencerminkan cara pandang perempuan terhadap dunia, yang dapat muncul dalam teks lisan ataupun tulisan. Dalam teks tulisan, misalnya novel, bahasa perempuan yang mengandung ideologi tertentu dapat diidentifikasi dengan menafsirkan kosakata dan gramatikanya. Pilihan bahasa yang digunakan perempuan melambangkan ideologi tertentu dan cara pandangnya terhadap kehidupan di mana pun ia berada. Dengan menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi, ideologi yang terkandung dalam bahasa perempuan, khususnya di dalam novel, dikaji berdasarkan kosakata dan gramatika menggunakan teori Fairclough yang dikembangkan oleh Santoso. Secara umum, bahasa yang digunakan perempuan dalam novel Bidadari Bermata Bening menunjukkan cara pandang seorang perempuan lulusan pesantren yang berpikiran modern dan berani menghadapi setiap konflik dalam hidupnya. Novel ini mengajarkan bahwa hanya perempuan yang memiliki pengetahuan dan keyakinan agama yang kuatlah yang dapat mempertahankan dan memperjuangkan hak-haknyadi tengah dominasi dan kekuasaan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Caranya tampak dari penggunaan kosakata dan pemilihan gramatikanya.

AbstrakArtikel ini menjelaskan tentang produk pendidikan berupa modul pembelajaran menulis cerpen yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran jarak jauh di SMP. Modul pembelajaran ini disusun dengan harapan dapat mengurangi permasalahan-permasalahan pembelajaran yang dialami oleh siswa dan guru selama pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan RD yang bertujuan untuk menyusun produk pendidikan berupa modul pembelajaran. Setelah dilakukan validasi, evaluasi, dan revisi, modul pembelajaran ini dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan secara efektif dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Modul pembelajaran ini dirancang untuk menumbuhkan kemandirian siswa dalam belajar sehingga sangat tepat digunakan sebagai alat bantu serta memudahkan proses pembelajaran jarak jauh, khususnya untuk pembelajaran menulis cerpen.Kata Kunci: Modul Pembelajaran, Cerpen, Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh AbstractThis article describes an educational product in the form of a short story writing learning module that can be used as a distance learning aid in junior high schools. This learning module is structured with the hope of reducing learning problems experienced by students and teachers during the implementation of distance learning. This research is an RD development research that aims to develop educational products in the form of learning modules. After validation, evaluation, and revision, this learning module is declared valid, practical, and effective so that it can be used in the learning process. Abstract

AbstractOne of the factors affecting the ability to understand poetry is reading interest. Reading interest is related to attention to reading, feelings during and after reading, and responses to reading content. This research was a quantitative study with a correlational method. This study was to explain how much the reading interest factor affects the ability to understand poetry. The results showed that the relationship between the two variables was significant but not too strong based on the range of correlation values. The reading interest factor only affects the ability to understand poetry by 13.1% and the remaining 86.9% is influenced by other factors. The reading interest factor in terms of attention to reading affects the ability to understand the physical structure of the poetry, while interest in terms of feelings and responses to reading affects the ability to understand the inner structure of the poetry.Keywords: the reading interest, learning, poetry AbstrakSalah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar memahami puisi adalah minat baca. Minat terhadap bacaan berhubungan dengan perhatian terhadap bacaan, perasaan saat dan setelah membaca, dan respon terhadap isi bacaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan seberapa besar faktor minat baca mempengaruhi kemampuan memahami puisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel signifikan tetapi tidak terlalu kuat dilihat berdasarkan rentangan nilai korelasinya. Faktor minat baca hanya mempengaruhi kemampuan memahami puisi sebesar 13,1% dan sisanya 86,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor yang lain. Faktor minat baca dari segi perhatian terhadap bacaan mempengaruhi kemampuan memahami stuktur fisik puisi sedangkan minat dari segi perasaan dan respon terhadap bacaan mempengaruhi kemampuan memahami struktur batin puisi.Kata kunci: minat baca, pembelajaran, puisi
