Abstract

Abstract: Since 1994 curriculum launched until now, the assessment of Indonesian teaching result should be directed to assess the student’s ability to use Indonesian communicatively in real situation, not their theoretic knowledge. But, in fact, there are still many teachers assess Indonesian teaching result from their student’s theoretic knowledge aspect, not the student’s ability to use Indonesian communicatively in real situation. It could happen because of the teacher’s understanding about the using of communicative approach in Indonesian teaching is not completely right. This article will explain the assessment of Indonesian teaching result based on communicative approach in elementary school consist of the assessment philosophy, techniques and procedures, also rubric and example test items that constructed based on communicative approach.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the deletion of syntactic function in sentences written by students of class III, IV, V, and VI elementary schools. This research data in the form of sentences in class III, IV, V, and VI elementary students. The data were collected from data sources in the form of essays from a number of third-grade students, IV, V, and VI elementary school target of this study. The results showed three things. First, there are sentences found in all classes, namely (1) the constituent sentence essentially present with the basic sentence patterns (a) S-P, (b) S-P-O, (c) S-P-Pel, and (d) S-P-Ket; and (2) a sentence whose constituents are essentially not present with a sentence type whose S constituent is not present. Second, there are sentences found in certain classes, ie (1) sentences whose constituent P is absent only found in class V, and (2) sentences whose S and P constituents are absent are found only in class IV, V, and VI. Thirdly, even though the sentence that his S-constituent is not present is found in all classes, the sentence pattern in each level is different.

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini ialah karakteristik teks deskripsi dilihat dari struktur isi dan ciri kebahasaan karya siswa kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan racangan penelitian kualitatif dan merupakan penelitian analisis teks. Hasil penelitian ini ada dua, yaitu (1) struktur isi berupa identifikasi, deskripsi bagian, simpulan, tatanan unsur teks deskripsi lengkap, serta tatanan unsur tidak lengkap, dan (2) ciri kebahasaan berupa kata kerja aksi, kata sifat untuk mendeskripsikan objek, kata benda terkait objek yang dideskripsikan, kata-kata yang dapat memancing kesan serta citra indrawi dan suasana batiniah pembaca, sinonim, kata khusus, kalimat rincian, dan kalimat rincian untuk mengongkretkan.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to describe the type of proposition on argumentative text of students. This study is a text analysis study. The data of the study was the sentence of students’ argumentative text. The data has been analyzed by structural syntactic studies and semantic logic. The result of the study shows that the type of proposition on students’ argumentative text are (1) type of proposition based on the source, (2) type of proposition based on the shape, (3) type of proposition based on the character, (4) type of proposition based on the level of certainty of truth, (5) type of proposition based on the quality, (6) type of proposition based on the quantity, and (7) type of proposition based on the combination of quantity and quality.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis proposisi dalam karangan argumentasi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analisis teks. Data dan sumber data dalam penelitian berupa kalimat-kalimat dalam karangan argumentasi siswa. Data akan dianalisis dengan kajian sintaksis struktural dan logika semantikal. Hasil penelitian ditemukan jenis proposisi dalam karangan argumentasi siswa, meliputi (1) jenis proposisi berdasarkan sumbernya, (2) jenis proposisi berdasarkan bentuknya, (3) jenis proposisi berdasarkan sifatnya, (4) jenis proposisi berdasarkan tingkat kepastian kebenaran (5) jenis proposisi berdasarkan kualitasnya, (6) jenis proposisi berdasarkan kuantitasnya, dan (7) jenis proposisi berdasarkan kombinasi kuantitas dan kualitasnya.

Abstract

This research is conducted to describe conjunction in compound sentences by first year students of vocational high school, particulary to describe forms, types, and senses in compound sentences written by vocational high school’s student. Forms, types, and senses of conjungtions in this research include (1) forms, types, and senses of conjungtions in compound sentence and (2) forms, types, and senses of conjungtions in complex sentence. This research adopted qualitative approach design with multiple-site case study based. The research results are form, types, and senses of conjungtions in compound sentences from sites I and sites II which have different.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konjungsi dalam kalimat majemuk siswa kelas X SMK, khususnya mendeskripsikan wujud, jenis, dan makna konjungsi dalam kalimat majemuk siswa SMK. Wujud, jenis, dan makna konjungsi dalam penelitian ini meliputi (1) wujud, jenis, dan makna  konjungsi dalam kalimat majemuk setara kelas X SMK dan (2) wujud, jenis, dan makna konjungsi dalam kalimat majemuk bertingkat siswa kelas X SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus multisitus. Hasil penelitian adalah wujud, jenis, dan makna  konjungsi dalam kalimat majemuk situs I dan situs II  memiliki kekhasan yang berbeda.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe reference used by junior high school students grade VII. This research is multi sites research with two steps analysis. The first step is descriptive single-site analysis, and the second step is comparative multi-site analysis. Grade VII students of SMPN 25 Purworejo used personal reference -ku, kami, kita, -nya, ia  and demonstrative reference di sana, di sini, ke sana, ke sini, itu, and tersebut. On the other side, grade VII students of SMPN 31 Purworejo used personal reference ku, saya, kita, kami, -nya and demonstrative reference di sana, ke sana, itu.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan referensi dalam karangan siswa kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian multisitus, data diperoleh dari dua situs yang berbeda. Analisis data yang digunakan meliputi analisis situs tunggal (deskriptif) dan analisis lintas situs (komparatif). Referensi yang digunakan dalam karangan siswa kelas VII SMPN 25 Purworejo adalah referensi persona (-ku, kami, kita, -nya, ia) dan demonstrativa (di sana, di sini, ke sana, ke sini, itu, dan tersebut). Sementara, dalam karangan siswa kelas VII SMPN 31 Purworejo, referensi yang digunakan adalah referensi persona (-ku, saya, kita, kami, -nya) dan demonstrativa (di sana, ke sana, dan itu).

Abstract

The students’ writing competence in State Senior High School Pagak I in composing poetry is still low as they have problems to brainstorm ideas and use poetic devices . Therefore, this classroom action research was proposed to develop students’ writing competence in composing poetry through the use of Ekonek strategy (exploration, construction, elaboration, and confirmation) on (1) idea extraction, (2) idea arrangement, and (3) imagery development, diction, theme and meaning, figure of speech, rhyme and rhythm, and typography. The subjects of this research are 20 students consisting of 3 boys and 17 girls. The result of this research shows an increase in students’ competence indicated by their gain 25,88 from the average of the first poetry test 56,14 becomes 82,02 in the last test. The development of this result has impacted on the increase of the students’ quantity who can reach the minimum completeness criteria (KKM), which is about10,53% in pre-cycle becomes 89,47 in post-cycle

Abstract

Teachers have very strategic role in abolishing corruption, collusion and nepotism in Indonesia which has been a level of apprehensive. It can be done because through education, teachers can internalize the values of anti corruption, collusion and nepotism to the next generation of the nation naturally, programming and systematically. This research aims to reveal the teachers’ vision and perceptiontoward the program of integrating anti corruption, collusion and nepotism material in the teaching-learning process of Indonesian language. The result of this research can be used as a starting point in integrating the material of anti corruption, collusion and nepotism in Indonesian teaching-learning process.

Abstract

This study aims at describing the appropriate and correct use of prepositions in elementary school students’ composition. The design of this study is qualitative research combined with formal approaches for students in grade 3, 4, 5 and 6. The results of the study indicate that (1) there is a preposition used in all grades; (2) there are some prepositions used in certain grade; (3) some preposition functions are found in all grades; and (4) some preposition functions are found in certain grades.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the process of transformation and complexity of embedded sentences. This type of research is a one-site case study. The data source of this study was the verbal text of the students' utterances. The data, in the form of accepted sentences, were analyzed by using the interactive model of Milles & Huberman. The results shows that the transformation process in junior high school students’ embedded sentences of spoken Bahasa Indonesia were included the use of TTF, TTKLesap, TTNom, TTGanKlit, TSA, TSPelFN, and TSPelFVrules. The complexity of students’ sentence is shown by the use of the seven rules of transformation in a sentence. This finding shows that the eighth grade students have syntactic competence in the transformation of embedded sentences.
