Abstract

In this paper discusses about one of the difficulties with language in autistic children that is in the use of sentence patterns orally. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of oral sentence patterns used or possessed by children with autism. Sources of data in this study is autistic children in the SDLP Cangakan Karanganyar with data’s in the form of speech or verbal language. Data collection techniques used in this study is a method of speech and methods of listened. Then, an advanced technique used is the technique of recording and written. Data analysis techniques performed by following three stages, namely: (1) data reduction phase, (2) the stage presentation of data, and (3) stages of inference or verification. Oral forms of sentence patterns of autistic children generally simple or quick-factly, and oral language skills of children with autism depends on the level of autism suffered.Keywords: children with autism, the oral sentence patterns.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were (1) to describe the form of the code-switching in selling and buying at Segiri market Samarinda, East Kalimantan, and (2) to describe factors of code-switching in selling and buying at Segiri market Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative and employed a sociolinguistics study in the form of Poplack approach. Data sources of this research were activities and informants. Meanwhile, the type of data was the form of speech in the conversation. In collecting data, (1) observation, (2) field notes, (3) recording, and (4) interviews were used. In analyzing data, Miles and Huberman interactive analysis and Dell Hymes, ethnography communication method was used. The result of this research shows that (1) Form of the code-switching in selling and buying at Segiri market Samarinda, East Kalimantan are (a) tag switching consists of 21 data, and (b) inter-sentential consists of 41 data. The data is taken from Indonesian language, Banjar language, Kutai language, Java language, and Bugis language, and (2) Factors of community language, culture, tribe, and environment existing in Segiri market Samarinda, East Kalimantan also influences the way of code-switching in selling and buying transaction at Segiri market Samarinda, East Kalimantan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the literary form of language variationcontained in the show Kick Andy episode, “Learn to Death”. The method used isdescriptive qualitative. Provision of data is done by methods refer to listen andunderstand the data linguistic oral form of data in the data source view KickAndy.The technique is a recording and log techniques. The analysis of data usinga unified method. The research result describe that form of language variation inthis show consists of variations in terms of formality, speakers, use, and means.1) The variation in terms of formality using a variety offamiliar, 2) variationsBetawiand Batak dialect speakers are used, 3) variations in the use of more useof registers in the field of education, 4) Variation means used in this show is avariation of oral.

Abstract

Song lyric is a mean to express the writer’s message publically. The message itself can be understood through understanding the writer’s diction (choice of words). This article concerns to Anom’s choices of words on his own ‘Tarlingdut’ song lyrics. This research aims to reveal Anom’s choice of words on his Tarlingdut song lyrics by using stylistic approach. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Inventory report, repetitive and comprehensive reading, and record keeping are techniques used to collect the data. The result shows that Anom’s choice of words in his nine song lyrics is aesthetic and unique. The result of the research is expected to make some contribution in understanding Tarlingdut songwriters’ choice of words to express their ideas.

Abstract

Hiponimi merupakan satuan bahasa yang menunjukan bagian dari sesuatu yang memiliki kelas lebih besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunan hiponimi yang terdapat pada tulisan deskrip atau caption dalam unggahan akun instagram resmi Presiden Joko Widodo. Data dalam penelitian ini merupakan data kebahasaan yang berupa seluruh hiponimi yang terdapat dalam caption dalam akun instagram resmi Presiden Joko Widodo. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tulisan deskripsi yang terdapat pada konten gambar dan video pada seluruh konten yang telah diunggah selama bulan Januari hingga Maret 2020 dalam akun instagram resmi Presiden Joko Widodo. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik catat. Metode yang digunakan peneliti dalam menganalisis data adalah metode agih (distribusional) dengan teknik dasar bagi unsur langsung (BUL). Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 25 data penggunaan hiponimi pada caption dalam seluruh konten yang telah diunggah pada akun instagram resmi Presiden Joko Widodo selama bulan Januari hingga Maret 2020.

Abstract

This article address the issue of verbal violence articulated by Facebook users using predicational strategies as proposed by Wodak when commenting news update posted on Indonesian news portal fans pages under the topic of Paris tragedy. As the realisation of predicational strategy, this article explores the form and the meaning of verbal violence linguistically articulated by the users. The data of verbal violence are taken from user comments in four different news fans pages, namely Detik.com, Kompas.com, Liputan6.com, and Tribunnews.com. Employing predicational strategies, there are several linguistic realisations of verbal violence, such as attributes, redicative verb, object or complement of predicate, predicative noun, and predicative adjective. These also reveal several meaning, such as violent action, violent trait, bad habit, mental deficiency, bad condition, exclusion from a social identity, and inclusion to a social identity.

Abstract

This research discussed code-mixing in Yowis Ben film from Fajar Nugros which is 80 percent using Javanese language. This paper aims to describe the forms and factors of using code-mixing. This paper is a kind of descriptive qualitative using observation-notification method (Simak-catat). Data in this study are oral data which is using information form. The population is all of the dialogs in Yowis Ben film. The result shows there are code-mixing word form, phrase, baster, word of frequent, and idiom dominantly code-mixing word form from Indonesian language insert to the Javanese language. Factors of using code-mixing are needs for a synonym, Social value, development and identification of new culture, low frequency of words, pernicious homonymy, oversight, and end (purpose and goal).
