Abstract

The problem of national identity and character lately is at risk. The number of negative events and behaviors, both individually and in groups in the community, illustrates the degadration of the nation's moral values. The character crisis is characterized by an increasing number in crime and violence in the society, including in the world of education. This fact encourages the emergence of various lawsuits on the effectiveness of character education in schools which so far have been seen by some communities as having failed in building students' affection with eternal values and being able to answer the challenges of the changing times.That the crisis of character, one of which is caused by a lack of understanding and practice of religious teachings. Religious characters that require students to understand and be able to practice the teachings of their religion become one of the most important character points in order to improve the good character of students. Religious becomes the foundation of the nation's character, so we need a way to build religious character for each student. Departing from this, in this article the author will discuss about the development model of religious school culture-based character education. The problem in this article will be focused first, on how to develop character education models based on the strengthening of religious school culture in Sultan Agung 3 Islamic High School Semarang; second, how the results of the implementation of the development of character education based on strengthening the culture of religious schools in Sultan Agung 3 Islamic High School Semarang. This article is the result of a qualitative descriptive study conducted by the author at Sultan Agung 3 Islamic Senior High School Semarang. From the research conducted by the author, the results of this research are: the model of character education development based on strengthening the religious school culture is needed in order to increase the effectiveness of character education in schools. Keywords: Character education, character crisis, religious school culture.

Abstract

The quality of education is related to whether or not national education goals are achieved as stated in Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. Therefore, the quality of education can be said it is good if it meets the National Education Standards. The fulfillment of minimum standards of education which is the National Standard of Education is a prerequisite to improve the quality of education including madrasah. The reality that emerges is the quality of education in Indonesia is still far from what is expected, let a quality in most madrasah which are still having many obstacles. Many madrasah do not qualify the National Education Standards, such as educators and education staff who have not met standardized qualifications and competencies, and inadequate facilities and infrastructure. This paper aims to describe how the role of the education quality assurance system in improving the quality of education in madrasah.

Abstract

Pada masa pandemi covid-19 sekarang ini, kegiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) di semua tingkatan dan jenjang pendidikan, khususnya di tingkat taman kanak-kanak mengalami berbagai tantangan dan kendala. Di antaranya masih banyak guru yang mengalami kesulitan mengelola pembelajaran jarak jauh karena keterbatasan mereka dalam menguasai pembelajaran berbasis daring.  Sementara itu, kendala yang dihadapi orang tua murid adalah ketidaksiapan mereka dalam mendampingi anaknya dalam pembelajaran berbasis daring. Kondisi demikian menjadikan pelatihan pembelajaran berbasis daring bagi para guru dan orangtua murid sebagai salah satu solusi dalam mengatasi kendala pembelajaran di masa pandemi. Inilah yang menjadikan arti penting kegiatan pengabdian saat pendemi seperti sekarang ini bagi guru-guru yang menjadi garda terdepan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan cara pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasilnya, para peserta mampu mempergunakan berbagai aplikasi pembelajaran daring. Implikasi yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah bertambahnya keterampilan menerapkan teknologi pendidikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis daring bagi guru-guru TK di Kecamatan Mranggen-Demak.  During the Covid-19 pandemic, distance learning activities (PJJ) at all levels and levels of education, especially at the kindergarten level, experience various challenges and obstacles. Among the many teachers who experience distance learning difficulties because of their limitations in mastering online-based learning. Meanwhile, schools that are related to students' parents are their unpreparedness in assisting children in online-based learning. This condition makes online-based learning training for teachers and parents of students as one of the solutions in overcoming learning problems during the pandemic. This is the important meaning of service activities during a pandemic like it is today for teachers who are at the forefront of learning activities. The method in this service activity is carried out by means of training and mentoring. As a result, the participants were able to use various online learning applications. The implication obtained from this activity is the development of the application of educational technology in online-based learning activities for kindergarten teachers in Mranggen-Demak District.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of infrastructure (X1) and teacher competence on the quality of education at vocational high school-level educational institutions. This is because the quality of education is in a low position among other developed countries. This study has a purpose, namely to analyze the relationship between infrastructure and the quality of education, to analyze the influence of teacher competence on the quality of education, and to determine the effect of infrastructure and teacher competence on the quality of education. The research used is quantitative research, the data used is primary data, and the data collection technique uses survey techniques by distributing questionnaires to respondents who were selected as samples. For data analysis using multiple linear regression and the test is done using SPSS statistical tools. The results of this study obtained data that partially and simultaneously infrastructure and teacher competence have a positive and significant effect on the quality of education in vocational high schools with the infrastructure variable being the dominant variable whose influence on the quality of education is indicated by the results shown showing the t-count. > t-table that is 2,748 > 1,98896. The significance value is 0.007 <0.05, while for the significant level X2 to Y, the T-count is 2.652>T-table 1.98896 and the significance value is 0.010 <0.05.

Abstract

This research examines how the leadership of the principal is in its efforts to build teachers who are characterized and innovative in this Digitalization Era. The research used in this research is a qualitative research which is described descriptively. Various sources were processed in this study such as books, research results, journals, and research articles. The results of this study suggest that over the last decade, studies of the effects of school leadership have increasingly aimed at identifying and validating the pathways through which principal leadership impacts key teaching and learning processes in schools. In addition, it was found that digital technology provides new challenges in the world of education today. Innovation is needed especially for school principals as leaders in the school sector to realize the various aspirations of the nation's education. One aspect that needs to be realized is creating human resources, namely teachers who have high character and innovation through the leadership of the school principal in this digital era. The role of the principal in this case is very important given the strategic position he holds. Through role models and strategic solutions, both traditional, interpersonal, and HR development, it is expected to be able to motivate teachers to be more creative and innovative in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan mengukur efektivitas penerapan metode talaqqi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal al-Qur’an santri HJNH Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunkan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Cara pengambilan data penelitian yaitu dengan membagikan kuisioner dan test berupa ujian hafalan secara langsung, yang ditekankan pada 5 indikator kemampuan menghafal yaitu: kelancaran hafalan, mad, ghunnah, qalqalah dan makhrojilhuruf. Penentuan pengambilan populasi yaitu dari seluruh santri HJNH Semarang yang berjumlah 118 santri, dengan menggunakan teknik sample random sampling didapatkan subjek penelitian berjumlah 18 santri. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 18 responden santri, menyatakan metode talaqqi di Yayasan HJNH Semarang dengan hasil persentase nilai tertinggi sejumlah 50%, hasil nilai sedang 6% dan hasil nilai rendah 44%. Sedangkan pada peningkatan kemampuan menghafal al-Qur’an santri, dengan hasil persentase nilai tertinggi 56%, hasil nilai sedang 39% dan hasil nilai rendah 6%. Maka dapat disimpulkan dengan pengambilan keputusan signifikan > 0.05, menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara metode talaqqi dengan kemampuan menghafal al-Qur’an, dengan hasil data penelitian signifikan 0.00 > 0.05, dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa efektivitas penerapan metode talaqqi di Yayasan Nurul Hayat Semarang sudah baik.

Abstract

This article describes the influence of school culture and work motivation on school quality at SMKN 1 Pungging Mojokerto. This article has used quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were all teachers at SMKN 1 Pungging Mojokerto, totaling 111, while the people used 87 respondents. The results showed that 1. School culture significantly influences school quality with a significance value of t of 0.00. 2. Work motivation significantly affects school quality with a significance value of t of 0.000. 3. Simultaneously, school culture and work motivation significantly influence school quality with a calculated F value of 32.876 with an F significance value of 0.000 and a regression coefficient R2 of 43.9%.

Abstract

Decision-making will be influenced by information about interesting information, quality products, and affordable education costs to create someone’s direction and enthusiasm in pursuing higher education so that with this it can help a school institution in increasing the number of students and the services provided to their customers. The research was conducted with the aim to find out how the influence of promotions, products, and education costs on the decision-making of choosing a school. It used a quantitative method with the help of the IBM SPSS version 25 application, tested the validity and reliability of the research instrument, sampling technique used the saturated sample method which took all the population to be sampled, and data collection using a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the promotion variable (X1) has an influence on decision-making (Y1), and the product variable (X2) has an influence on decision-making (Y1). It can be seen based on the results of testing the t-test hypothesis where tcount>ttable (2.854 > 1.980) and a significant level that is less than 0.05 (0.024 <0.05), the variable cost of education (X3) has an influence on decision making (Y1).
