Abstract

Functional microbes of rhizosphere play important roles in nutrient transformation and controlling disease as well as in supporting plant growth and development. However, there is no study on the role of functional microbes on pineapple productivity. The purpose of this study was to investigate the abundance and diversity of soil functional microbes at different growth phases at two levels of productivity and their correlations to disease incidence. The research process included sampling of pineapple rhizospheric soil from vegetative and generative phases pineapples at low and high plant productivity sites, observations of disease incidence, and isolations of functional microbes. Functional groups of bacteria were Azotobacter, phosphate-solubilizing bacteria, potassium-solubilizing bacteria, antibiotics-producing bacteria, IAA-producing bacteria, and chitinolytic bacteria. The soil sampling method was simple randomized sampling at 6 locations with an area of each location ± 5 ha with a depth of 20 cm. Rhizosphere were taken in plants grown in high productivity area (>60tons/ha) and low productivity area (<60 tons/ha) in vegetative and generative phases. The results showed that potassium-solubilizing bacteria, chitinolytic bacteria, and IAA-producing bacteria were more abundant during the generative phase compared to those during vegetative phase. While Azotobacter, phosphate-solubilizing bacteria, and antibiotic-producing bacteria were more predominant during vegetative phase at various crop productivy. Total density of microbes was higher in soil with high crop productivity than that in soil with low crop productivity. The abundance of chitinolytic bacteria and IAA-producing bacteria had negative correlation with disease caused by Erwinia chrysanthemi and Phytophthora cinnamomi. Abstract

Kualitas lahan pertanian cenderung menurun. Salah satu metode yang dapat dikembangkan dalam menentukan kualitas lahan adalah dengan mengukur konduktivitas listrik dengan pendekatan hambatan listrik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pupuk anorganik dan organik terhadap hambatan listrik pada tanah kering. Tahapan penelitian meliputi persiapan sampel tanah, aplikasi pupuk anorganik dan organik, pengukuran hambatan listrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hambatan listrik semakin besar dengan semakin menurunnya tingkat NPK. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh penurunan daya hantar listrik (DHL) dengan penurunan tingkat NPK. Hambatan listrik meningkat dengan peningkatan aplikasi pupuk organik Hubungan dengan hambatan listrik sebanding dengan DHL. Nilai hambatan listrik meningkat dengan bertambahnya kandungan pupuk pada tanah kering. Hal ini dikarenakan sifat fisik tanah ternyata tidak kompak sehingga nilai resistansinya meningkat.

Abstract

Kelapa sawit merupakan komoditas pertanian yang menjadi tulang punggung Indonesia. Berbagai wilayah di Sumatera menjadi sentra perkebunan kelapa sawit. Hadirnya perkebunan kelapa sawit di tengah masyarakat dapat memberikan berbagai keuntungan bagi masyarakat. Masyarakat tergabung dalam komunitas masyarakat pekebun kelapa sawit yang sebagian besar disatukan dalam sebuah koperasi. Koperasi berperan sebagai penggerak kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat. Pada masa pandemi seperti ini, perekonomian masyarakat harus dijaga agar tetap bergerak. Kebutuhan sarana hidup bersih dan sehat di masa pandemi ini meningkat drastis, masyarakat dapat memanfaatkan peluang ini dengan memproduksi salah satu kebutuhan penunjang hidup bersih dan sehat yaitu sabun cuci tangan. Sabun cuci tangan menjadi kebutuhan yang krusial di masa pandemi dalam rangka menjaga masyarakat hidup bersih dan sehat. Teknologi sederhana pembuatan sabun cuci tangan cair dikenalkan di Kabupaten Bungo, Provinsi Jambi. Bahan dasar yang digunakan adalah teksapon yang kemudian menjadi biang sabun yang dapat diperbanyak dengan mudah oleh masyarakat. Bahan-bahan lainnya dapat dijumpai dengan mudah oleh masyarakat seperti air suling sebagai bahan baku perbanyakan, gliserin sebagai bahan pelembut, EDTA sebagai pengikat logam serta pewarna dan pewangi. Masyarakat sangat antusias dengan teknologi sederhana pembuatan sabun cuci tangan cair karena dirasa memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi serta kepraktisan dalam produksinya. Abstract

Sekolah-sekolah dasar di area perkotaan umumnya memiliki ruang terbuka hijau yang minim.  Hal tersebut menyebabkan pihak sekolah kesulitan untuk menerapkan program green school di dalam lingkungannya, salah satunya di SD Islamiyah Warungboto Yogyakarta. Salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan oleh pihak sekolah adalah mengenalkan teknologi vertikultur pada peserta didik. Pengenalan teknologi vertikultur dilaksanakan melalui 3 tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap akhir. Peserta didik diberikan penjelasan tentang vertikultur secara umum lalu dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan pembuatan desain vertikultur. Melalui kegiatan pengenalan teknologi vertikultur, peserta didik mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang manfaat vertikultur. Selain itu, peserta didik dapat mengimplementasikan teknologi vertikultur dalam mendukung program green school.

Abstract

SD Islamiyah merupakan salah satu sekolah dasar yang berada di Warungboto, Kotamadya Yogyakarta. SD Islamiyah memiliki siswa total 40 peserta didik. Permasalahan yang dihadapi di SD Islamiyah adalah minimnya penyuluhan tentang kesehatan diri dan lingkungan. Hal tersebut padahal sangat penting sebagai pengetahuan dasar peserta didik dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penyuluhan mengenai edukasi perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Target dan luaran yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan ini yaitu dapat menjadi solusi pemecahan masalah antara lain (i) Meningkatnya pemahaman dan kesadaran diri peserta didik dalam perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (ii) Diterapkannya pola hidup sehat dalam aktivitas sehari-hari (iii) Diterapkannya kebersihan diri maupun lingkungan. Target dan luaran tersebut dicapai melalui (i) penyuluhan pola hidup bersih dan sehat (ii) pelatihan pemilahan sampah organik dan anorganik (iii) cara mencuci tangan dengan benar. Abstract

Due to declining soil fertility as a consequence of continued land usage, the production of red curly chilies has decreased. Fertilization, both biological and inorganic, is one strategy that may be used. The goal of this research was to ascertain the effect of a fertilizer mixture on the growth and production of red curly chili. Land preparation, planting, application of biological and inorganic fertilizers, and observation of growth and production were all included in the study phases. The study was done in a factorial experiment with three replications, with factor 1 being biological fertilizer and factor 2 being the kind of micro fertilizer. At 0, 30, 60, and 90 days after planting, bio-fertilizers, NPK, and micro-fertilizers were applied four times. The height of the plant, the diameter of the crown, the number of chilies, the length of the fruit, the weight of the chilies, and the diameter of the chilies were all recorded. The collected data were examined statistically using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% and 10% levels. The findings indicated that micronutrient brand B treatment had an effect on plant growth. Plant production is affected by the use of biological fertilizers.

Abstract

The productivity of oil palm is highly dependent on the application of fertilization. Fertilizer applications must pay attention to its effectiveness and efficiency so that nutrients are absorbed optimally at the right time and right dosage. This research was conducted to assess the effectiveness of fertilization time. In addition, this also aimed to examine the effectiveness of oil palm fertilization which affects the productivity of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and increases the production income. The data used were secondary data including fertilization and productivity of FFB at time intervals after fertilization for 6, 7, and 8 months in Kujan Estate Division, PT Menthobi Makmur Lestari (MMaL), Kujan Village, Nanga Bulik District, Lamandau, Central Kalimantan Province. The data obtained were analyzed using MS software. Excel was also employed to describe the dosage and time applied for 1 year and the productivity of FFB after 6 months of fertilization. Fertilizer application in months with high rainfall and long dry season is less effective and efficient for nutrient availability. The productivity of FFB in the second semester after 6 months of fertilization has increased compared to the first semester. The effective application of fertilizers can increase the production of CPO and reduce the total maintenance cost of the oil palm company

Abstract

The mustard plant is a commercially valuable vegetable popular with the public, so demand for this vegetable continues to increase. One of the factors that influences growth in terms of external factors is the planting medium. Planting media made from organic materials is a solution to using chemicals that cause residues that damage the environment. This research was conducted to determine the best type of planting media and the composition of the planting media for the growth of kale plants. Treatment using P1 (Control) = soil; P2 = soil: organic fertilizer (goat manure) (1:1); P3 = soil: bamboo leaves (1:1) using Randomized Complete Block Design method with five replications. The research results on planting media treatment with goat manure influenced the growth of mustard greens, including plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, root length, and root wet weight.
