Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of an online learning system based on MOOCs at Poltekbang Palembang. This type of research is survey research which can later become the basis for further development research. The research instrument used was a needs analysis questionnaire with 21 questions given to 115 respondents who were students of the Palembang Poltekbang. In this study, data analysis used descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the data obtained, it can be concluded that currently, students need an online learning system based on MOOCs. It is based on the data obtained from all statements regarding the needs of Palembang Poltekbang students for effective online learning. Almost all of them were answered, with the most significant percentage being in the answer choices strongly agree and agree. Students need the points offered in each statement that they fill out on the needs questionnaire sheet. The Va value of 3.4339 was also obtained from the data obtained, which entered the valid category. While the reliability value obtained is 0.91, and the value is greater than r table for df = 113, which is 0.1832 because rcountrtable, then it is included in the reliable category.

Abstract

In this era of disruption, the world of education is required to be able to equip students with 21st Century Skills. Not only for students, teachers and lecturers must also be prepared to face these skills. Teachers and lecturers must have strong core competencies, have soft skills include: Critical Thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. To achieve 21st-century skills, learning trends and best practices must also be adjusted, one of which is by using an ICT-based learning model approach such as Learning Media in the form of Animated Videos created using the PowToon application. This activity aims to (1) describe the improvement of skills, especially digital literacy of teachers in making learning media using PowToon, so that later it can improve student understanding (2) increase teacher motivation in using Information Technology, especially using the PowToon application in helping to learn, especially for high school students 4 Kepahiang so that it can motivate teachers to use the latest learning innovations. Method Activities using RPA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) is an approach and method that allows the community to jointly analyze life problems to formulate real plans and policies. The form of this activity is in the form of training or workshops which are attended by 33 teachers of SMAN 4 Kepahiang. From the results of this service, almost all teachers who participated in this activity were enthusiastic and could absorb the material provided well. So it can be concluded that this training activity is running by the desired goals and can be followed up for the next service program.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education regarding efforts to prevent and overcome fire hazards at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic to minimize the impact of losses caused by fires. The method used was technical guidance in the form of providing basic competence in early fire prevention by using 4 hours of classroom theoretical session and 4 hours of practical session in the field. Overall, this activity went well and smoothly, with the average satisfaction score of participants responses was categorized Very Good (A), indicated that the participants had a very positive response to prevent and control on fire hazard.

Abstract

This study has the aim of analyzing the responses of physics teachers and students to the need for developing e-modules on the amount and units of material at the SMA Negeri in Payakumbuh City. This research is part of the R & D research with the ADDIE model but is only limited to the needs analysis stage using quantitative methods. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with data samples, namely 8 physics teachers and 250 students in 5 high schools during the covid-19 pandemic. Data collection techniques used are interviews, questionnaires and observation. The instrument used is a questionnaire on the need for e-module development for physics students and teachers. The results of this study indicate that the instruments used are valid and reliable and show that physics teachers and students strongly agree that the e-module material on quantities and units really needs to be developed to support effective online learning. Different from previous research, the update of this research was carried out in all public high schools in Payakumbuh City and focused on physics subject matter of quantities and units. This research contributes to educational practitioners so that they can develop an e-module teaching material product of magnitude and unit material for students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the importance of aviation vocational education in Indonesia. This type of research is Research and Development (R D) with a 4D model. However, this research is only limited to the defined stage. This research was conducted in September-October 2021 with the research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The population taken in this study are all workers in all aviation institutions in Indonesia. From the entire population, a sample of 88 people was then taken. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the questionnaire data (questionnaire) were processed using the SPSS application to test the validity and reliability and using excel to obtain the percentage and category of each statement item listed in the questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that aviation vocational education in Indonesia is important.

Abstract

Considering the enormous risk of work for people who work on ships, skilled, competent, and capable workers are needed to deal with emergency conditions that can cause loss of both property and life. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education for the community around Mariana Village, Banyuasin Palembang regarding self-rescue techniques in the waters in order to minimize the impact of losses in the form of loss of property and life caused by accidents on board. The method used is training in the form of providing basic competence in self-defense techniques in waters using 4 hours of theory lessons in class and 4 hours of practical lessons in the field (1 lesson = 45 minutes). Overall this training activity went well and smoothly, with an average value of participant satisfaction responding strongly agreeing to 83.14%, a scale of 4 with a very good category (A) as an indicator that the participants' very positive response to the "Technical Training" activity Self-Rescue in Waters for the Community of Mariana Village, Banyuasin Palembang”. Through this activity, it was measured that of the 22 people who participated in the training, all of them did not have the competence of good water self-rescue techniques as regulated in the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).

Abstract

Abstract This Community Service activity was conducted as an output of carrying out the Tridharma of Higher Education for PSDT PPKP Lecturers at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic by involving Cadets. This activity was performed in the form of technical guidance in the form of brief training in installing fire alarms and detection systems. The time allocation is 4 hours of lessons consisting of 1 JP of theory in class and 3 JP of practice (1 JP = 45 minutes). This Bimtek activity can be carried out well and the results are very satisfactory, based on all responders (100%) stating that they strongly agree with the implementation of PkM.  Keywords: community service, technical guidance, fire alarm, and detection system   Abstrak Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan sebagai output pelaksanaan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi bagi Dosen PPKP PSDT di Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang dengan mengikutsertakan Kadet. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk bimbingan teknis berupa pelatihan singkat pemasangan alarm kebakaran dan sistem deteksi. Alokasi waktunya adalah 4 jam pelajaran yang terdiri dari 1 JP teori di kelas dan 3 JP praktek (1 JP = 45 menit). Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the level of satisfaction of research center services and community service. In the current era of openness, the Community Satisfaction Survey helps with two-way communication between service users. Through SKM, service users can directly convey expectations and inputs aimed at improving the optimal quality of service. The type of research used in this study is a quantitative type using a likert scale. This study aims to measure the level of satisfaction of research center services and community service through research questions on google forms on lecturers and tested for validity and reliability in their research instruments. The implementation of lecturer services by the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic, especially PusPPM services in 2020 generally reflects a good level of quality, with an IKM value of 3.35 or after being converted to 83.75 for research and for PKM the IKM value is 3.17 or after being converted to 79.25. The IKM value for SKM research is at an interval of 81.26 – 100 so it can be concluded that the quality of service is Very Good (A). While the IKM value for SKM PKM is at an interval of 62.51 - 81.25 so that it can be concluded that the quality of service is Good (B).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze systemm control of wild animals and the process of solving problems of controlling wild animals at Taufik Kiemas Airport, Pesisir Barat, Lampung Province based on public perception.This research was conducted at Taufik Kiemas Pesisir Barat Airport, Lampung Province in August 2022. In this study, the researcher used a descriptive type of research with a qualitative approach. This study uses one data source, namely primary data sources obtained through surveys. The sampling method is purposive sampling. In this study there were 19 people who became the research sample. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative analysis which attempted to describe the nature of the problems studied which were carried out in the field at the time of data collection. The results showed that the presence of wild animals such asbobcats, monkeys, wild boars, monitor lizards, snakes, various birds, monkeys and othersin Banfrom Taufik Kiemas Airport, West Coast of Lampung Province. Therefore it is necessary to create a special unit that handles the presence of wild animals at the airport and regulations are needed that are understood by all employees. In an emergency caused by wild animals, officers must understand how to mitigate the risk, so training and socialization are needed in understanding the presence of wild animals at airports.

Abstract

The training aims to enable participants to equip participants with trained, skilled, and tested abilities in electric welding. The training is designed to accommodate a total of 42 lesson hours and will take place over five days from March 13 to March 17, 2023. The face-to-face learning method is employed at Atung Bungsu Airport in Pagar Alam to facilitate practical activities using actual equipment in the field. The theoretical learning sessions are conducted on-site, allowing participants and instructors to remain at the location throughout the training. Face-to-face interactions, discussions, and questions are facilitated during the scheduled sessions, while additional communication is maintained through a WhatsApp Group. The practical session takes place after participants have completed the theory session and passed the theory exam. It is held in the Atung Bungsu Airport environment, where participants actively engage in hands-on activities. Strict adherence to health protocols is maintained throughout the learning activities. Assessment of learning outcomes is based on participants' attendance records and comprehensive exam results, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of their progress and performance.
